Hector Santiago was the delivery driver and he did an excellent job. He was very careful to back down our one way street and took excellent care in unloading. The delivery was very large and I needed it IN our house and Hector was so nice as to help me move it in for me. HUGE help and I couldnt have done it without him. You can really tell he cares about his customer service. On a side note his truck was the cleanest truck I have ever seen!

Jessica was always a pleasure to see when it was time to sign my paperwork. Very nice and very pretty. I miss seeing her. The Hispanic spotter with the glasses is an amazing individual. It was a pleasure coming here at the time.

For being in Chicago, its not too bad. The company I work for does drops and hooks here. They have a new drop yard across the street for trailers and it has plenty of room. Its pretty simple to drop your empty, check in, and grab your loaded trailer. You have to scale before leaving and write your weights on the gate pass.

Everyone was great. Los odd trucks going out at the same time so it was completely ordered chaos. Everyone knew where to go and was Courteous to everyone else in the mix. Everyone made everything work perfectly!

Out of 8-10 times coming here 7-8loads have had issues. Good luck.most other rl yards/terminals dont have the issues that are here. I think the biggest issue is lack of space.....its all crammed together

R n L Semi driving down a street ignoring all traffic signs in a residential neighborhood as though he’s entitled to break laws. Clearly poorly trained driver with no regard for safety of others. Bad company is responsible

Horrible!!! Had a pick up scheduled for today Monday the 3 rd between 1-5. Called at 3.00 to make sure we are on schedule, the girl from dispatch told me that we are looking at 5.30 pm. Called again at 5.40 asking where is the driver? Older man told the driver will call me. Called at 6.15 that same man sad let me call him and put me on hold 20 m latter got disconnected, called back again and spoke to now night dispatch that has no idea what is going on but also told me that most likely will not be picked up today. This furniture is heavy I had to atente for someone to help me to take it to the curb, now it’s raining and I have to look for someone again to help to take it to garage and back again next time 0 stars unreliable!

I have been here many Many many times over the years, usually picking up the K&B load going I Omaha or Rock Rapids.For the most part this place is not to bad, the staff has always been quite nice, the new drop lot across the street is MUCH EASIER TO USE than the old one behind the facility.Outside carriers are no longer allowed to park on property however their is nice street parking right in front and you can still walk in to use the facilities.Load are quite often loaded late, or near the the appointment time be rarely will they ever be early.

I deliver gas to this location from time to time. And I enjoy it. Drivers are always courteous when the gas man goes in the yard to deliver!

I only gave 1 star because I had to! I was due a delivery of 2 portable ac units, which cost me close to $800. The day of delivery I only received 1!! I told the delivery guy that I paid for 2. He told me that the receipt only said one. When I saw the receipt, it said 1 package, 2 units. He told me that hes going to get the unit and get it to me in the same week. A week passed and I could not get through to anyone, including AC Wholesalers (The company who used R& L carriers) I finally emailed AC wholesalers about the situation and they put me through so much! Heading towards the end of the 2nd week, I received an email from AC Wholesalers, which stated R & L carriers lost the unit and they had no more in their warehouse, so theyd refund my money. The next day I received another email from AC Wholesalers stating R & L Carriers found the package and will schedule a delivery. The day I received my Lost unit, the bottom was totally damaged and opened, it was held together by plastic string! I opened the box and there was no visible damage. The day I decided to take it completely out the box and assemble it, the hose adapters were missing!! I called, but they had me on hold forever and no one ever picked up! Been searching everywhere for the adapters to connect the unit, but no luck! This company should be shut down! They are illiterate and does not pay attention to details when it comes to their orders!!! WORST DELIVERY COMPANY IVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!!

Employees not nice to outside carriers.

Do not listen to what the guards tell you. It will vary day by day even amongst the same guard. We always have the same guy and he always informs us as rudely as he can that we need to get ourselves u-turned in an extremely busy, extremely small, and supremely unkempt (think giant pothole) lot to drop our empty trailer across the street in the unsecured and equally unkempt lot. This time we pre-emptively dropped across the street and the same guard now, as rude as he can muster, tells us he needs the empty to come here....just so we can immedietly uturn in this horrid lot and put it across the street. He did not look inside and he did not look at the trailer number or license plate. Not to mention he is the slowest guard I have ever met, and I was a security guard before becoming a truck driver. If this is process it is the most inefficient and accident encouraging process I have ever seen (or, to better put it in perspective since I only have a year of driving under my belt, that my co driver has seen in his 11yr driving career). Also, to maybe give more merit to my worda, I have left reviews on almost every shipper and reciever I have gone to. This is my first negative.

Very fast trailer pick up type place and great people

We have been working with R&L Carriers for awhile now, and they are really efficient, organized, and whenever we need to pick up an item, getting in and out is quick and efficient. Also, the customer service team is great whenever we need to call and speak with someone. Highly recommended!

Outstanding in every way! My first experience picking up a shipment at R+L Carriers (or picking up a shipment at any depot for that matter). Excellent security - very thorough check in process. Their Customer Service personal were friendly, courteous, efficient and very helpful. They quickly located my shipment and told me where to drive my SUV to get the contents The icing on the cake was Mark, who retrieved the box with a fork lift, set it down right behind my vehicle, and then spent 30 minutes helping me unload it and transfer the contents A hard worker and a good man. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND R+L Carriers, especially if you plan to retrieve a personal shipment at their Chicago facility.

I reserved from my niece the Pioneer truck she parked it and then they moved it and took it in the service and didnt tell her and then she went looking for an empty and I helped her and they didnt have one for her so Im not too impressed with them they wanted to pick up a load but they dont have a trailer for her

If I could give zero stars I would. They scheduled me for a Tuesday delivery between NOON - 4PM. I received a call at 3:48PM telling me that my delivery needed to be bumped back to the next day (Wednesday). On Wednesday they schedule me for the last delivery of the day and cant provide a time window smaller than four hours. Even after missing their original four hour time window that I had to take a half day to accommodate. No sorry for the inconvenience or we apologize for the delay or anything like that. I get my delivery whenever they say and thats that. What a joke.

What a nightmare of a company.We ordered hardwood from a company that uses R&L. 5 weeks ago, our wood was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. Tuesday goes by, and they say delivery will be on Thursday. Thursday goes by and they say delivery will be on Monday. Monday goes by and they say they dont actually know where the wood is. They say it might be in Colorado, or it might be in Chicago. How in the world, in the year 2014, do you not know where your packages are???2 weeks pass of them trying to locate the wood with no success. They say they lost it. You dont say? The hardwood company ships out a new order (again through R&L...what is the definition of insanity again?). THREE DAYS in a row, R&L is supposed to pick up the order from the warehouse, but fails to do so. THREE DAYS in a row, they say they will go there early, and THREE DAYS in a row, they end up arriving too late.Earlier this week, the wood is FINALLY picked up, and we schedule the delivery for today (Friday). This morning, they call me to tell me there is yet ANOTHER delay. They say the wood never actually got on the truck in Ohio. They cannot give me an ETA on when they can actually deliver now, since they dont know when the wood will actually be on its way to our area. So who knows if we will ever receive our wood. Our house is in shambles because we are waiting for this wood to complete our house renovation.THE ABSOLUTE WORST. The one star given to this company is being generous.

Everyone over here has been nice even though I drive for an outside carrier. Couple stars off because this place is a death trap. Everyone drives crazy fast through the terminal. The yard dogs drive faster than any other place Ive been to. Thats saying alot. Theres a couple blind corners and the R&L drivers will be flying around them. It would be nice if the terminal manager addressed this issue.

There is only one breath of fresh air in Chicago and her name is Linda. She works the window where outside carriers check in and always greets every driver with a smile on her face. Linda treats every driver with kindness and respect and she is the reason we ask for R + L loads when we get to Chicago.

I love it it when one of your drivers hauls a$$ around us in the yard while we navigate the Grand Canyon-sized potholes in your lot, pulls up to the exit gate, PARKS HIS TRUCK and gets out, runs to get something out of his personal vehicle, and then WALKS back over with an attitude when called out on it. Real safe & professional employees you have.

DEATH TRAP! Be extremely careful when on their property!!! The drivers drive 25-30mph in the yard and the switchers drive 30+. The grounds are the worst Ive ever seen for a RL Carriers facility! You will easily mess up the bottom of your truck or lose a mudflap! There are a few blind side corners here so make sure you use your horn and take it slow... trust me! They have a old scale on the side of the building by across from the fuel pumps(One axle at a time). Make sure you write your axle weights down on the bills under each axle of picture of the truck and trailer. They will not let you out until you scale! They staff here are friendly.

Do not use R+L carries! They are the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. They damaged my shipment and refused to make a damage claim.

The company is extremely difficult to work with. I was transferred multiple times before speaking with a very rude customer service rep. He provided no help & my shipment is now being picked up on Monday instead of this Friday because they provided the wrong address to the driver.They offered no other resolution for the issue & just told me that there is nothing else that can be done at this point.Very disappointed with the service and would strongly advise not to use them.

Worst customer service in my life is from this company and their worst was from the manager. The shipment was supposed to come in between 12 and 2 on one day and I took off my job to wait for the shipment period Then I call at 3 oclock and Im told that it could arrive anytime between 12 and 5 oclock. So I find people to wait the next day for the shipment the lady tells me it supposed to be there between 12 and 2 and again at 4 oclock no shipment. When I call to ask where it is the manager lies he says he told me that it was going to be there between 12 and 5 when I spoke to the lady the day before. I will never use this company again!

Very inconsiderate drivers. Guy driving truck parked blocking the street and the alley. With a car behind me I was blocked in. He refused to move until he was good and ready.

Well so far they have forgotten load to my delivery on the truck twice now, and who knows how long it would have been before they did if I wouldnt have called. Lets see it it actually shows up tonight in Wisconsin for delivery hopefully on Monday.

So... today I was waiting for a delivery from RT carries, the guy showed up around 3:30 pm he called my cellphone that he’s outside, so I called my dad to tell him that delivery guy is outside because I was at work still, my father is 60 years old can’t lift Heavy stuff, that Delevry guy took 6 or 7 have boxes with his lifft left everything outside and went back to his truck, my dad had to carry everything all by him self on the second floor and the Del guy was just sitting and looking, after he realized that my father took all this Heavy furniture box up on the second floor all by him self the driver left unprofessional delivery company I’ll never do business with them again!!

There is no one to monitor trailer parking, and as you can imagine it gets chaotic when it comes to picking up loads that are not in a door, and dropping off a load when trailers are all over the place.

Terrible company, attempted to deliver something to my house, I have motion sensors and cameras in the front that notifies me if anyone even walks up to the gate and I received no motion at the gate let alone a simple door bell ring, which last I checked is how you find out if someone’s home or not.
