I had to get new uniform pants for work. Between trying them on to see how they fit, and them hemming them up for me I was out within 20 minutes total.

Uniform stores can be rough on the customer service side. They have account with the municipality and so often could really care less about the individual.I make a point to deal directly with Randy when I have to put in my orders. He is awesome, knows his stuff and is professional.

So this is the fourth time I have taken this vest back for poor stitching once for the police patch on the back once for the vest pocket and twice for the star. The only reason I kept taking it back is to try and force this seamstress to get her act together. HA! I can say now that hell would have to freeze over before I will ever go back to VCG for ANYTHING ever again!!! The seamstress there should turn in her sewing NOW!!! The fact that she would return my vest to me looking like this says a lot to me about how she feels about her reputation as a seamstress and how she feels about how her work represents this company. Thoroughly disgusted!!! I wish Google reviews would allow me to post a picture of this shameful despicable work she performed.

Great place to get patches sewn on. Boy scout patches, hemming, etc. Very responsive.

The only small problem with this uniform store is that some areas may get disorganized but they are a high traffic area. Also, they have limited parking but there is parking in the back. Everything else is great, even when packed they make you feel like they want to get to you asap. They hurry orders as best as they can, always try to make sure its right and if there is something that takes time, they give prompt follow up.

Division 20 Honor Guard has used VCG since 2004. they know uniforms and do excellent work in a very reasonable amount of time. Highly recommended.

I brought a vest and three fest covers...three separate jobs. And they fitted my smaller size perfectly. I have been going to this store for four years and I have been to other places (eagle and ray oherron). I swear I have had met the most friendlier people here, shoppers included. The suburban stores are less concerned when you enter to make purchases. Also tailoring is done pretty quick, not too much variety on belt brand equipment however.(Boston or Uncle Mikes only it seems)

The store is very organized. However it caters to Chicago Police. If you work in a different industry youll have to order from a catalogue. Keep that in mind if youre in a hurry!

Now, its very important to remember that if youre coming to a place like this you cant expect service thats as quick as a McDonalds drive thru. This is a uniform store for law enforcement so youre going to wait. Now that I got that disclaimer out of the way let me start by saying that VCG is arguably the best Uniform store in chicago and heres why. As someone who has few frequented all of the major ones (JG, AJ, Tri-Taylor, Chicago, Ray OHerron, and the COP shop) VCG stands out by simply doing their jobs. I went here for both my Cook County sheriff DOC uniforms and my CPD uniforms and both times they came thru. They make sure your clothes fit properly. All of their measurements are on point and accurate. Their quality is second to none. Their prices are competitive. Now remember this is a uniform store NOT a gun store. Youre not getting the best variety for holsters and knives or flashlights here although their selection is decent. They tend to carry a large selection of Uncle Mikes which is garbage to me and I tend to stay away from, but they also carry some blackhawk items which I love. Their service rocks (the Albanian lady is awesome! No shes NOT Russian!). If they dont carry an item they wont sell you the wrong one just to make a sale. Although, they tend to carry everything and tend to stay in stock even with a large inventory like theirs. Theres plenty of free parking in the back as well. You cant go wrong with VCG. Take it from a guy whos been everywhere else that has failed him!
