Kate’s is very unprofessional, she doesn’t care about the people working for her the only thing she care is about her money, making her workers work like dogs for 7 days a week without paying overtime and making them carry 40 pound bags for the Airbnb’s. Even when the feel sick they have to come to work no matter what! She doesn’t care for her workers she won’t pay for anything no overtime, sick days, time off nothing! And she yells at her employees when she doesn’t like something and she will charge her customers up to 200 dollars for the cleaning and she will only pay 40 dollars to her employers when the employer did all the hard work! And the worst of all she won’t tell her employees they gave them tips she will keep the tips only if they found out they gave to them, she will say, oh I forgot to give to you...no very trusting person!

W. T. F. I used Kate for more than a year, I constantly wanted to fire her (and should have), but didnt have time to look for someone else and felt bad at first.Where to begin? I dont know if I should begin with how they usually never bothered to clean things, the things they destroyed, how they always left my place messier than when they arrived, or Kates lack of communication in relaying my requests to the cleaner (like stop putting my cast iron skillet, copper heirlooms, wooden trays in the dishwasher... And eventually, do not use the dishwasher--ive asked you too many times to stop putting these things in the dishwasher).They broke many things of mine. Im heartbroken over some of the things they broke. They move like tornados. When they break things, they dont tell you about it or apologize.At first, they brought their own supplies. After a couple weeks, they started to use mine, and all of it. They would use an entire roll of paper towels just to clean the kitchen, and use the entire bottle of kitchen spray. And then they dont tell you when theyve used it up, leaving you to come home and be without supplies. I eventually started hiding my supplies, and then they used toilet paper to instead of paper towels. If I left my microfiber cloths out, theyd throw them out.They constantly would throw things to move them... And then not even put them back. For example, when cleaning my bathtub, Anita would throw my bathtub tray caddy out of the bathroom and then leave it there. I once found the bath caddy all the way in my living room... Meaning, she had literally chucked it a full 15 feet. Thank god it didnt hit my glass coffee table and knock or break things off it, especially since I know she wouldnt of cleaned it up if she had.No matter how many times I asked, they always threw my recycling out in the trash can instead of the recycle bin.They dont really clean anything. The only thing they consistently cleaned in my weekly service was the kitchen floor, and would leave it so wet that the wooden floor beside my kitchen is now completely water damaged.Anita would throw a lot of things out that didnt even make sense to throw out, such as the suction hooks in my bathtub, the blade protector to my cheese grinder (which was brand new and I purchased specifically because I wanted a protection sleeve).Sometimes theyd come hours late. I dont really care about that, to me its important that the job gets done, but I know other people care.I have so many negative things to say, Ill finish writing this later.Oh, P.S. When I finally have Kate a final warning, she was incredibly unprofessional. I had a feeling they wouldnt show up for the next weeks service (and was right). A couple days later, I found their set of keys to my building on my kitchen counter, meaning--at some point, THEY CAME INTO MY HOME WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. They didnt contact me, they could have left them outside the door ... I hadnt even asked them to return the keys since I knew they had made several copies. The keys they left were from KeyMe, meaning they broke into my home and a copy of the keys theyve stored in the cloud. Unbelievable.

Kate and her team did a fantastic job with my apartment and really went the extra mile to provide an excellent service. I live in an attic apartment of a walk up building and could not arrange to be home at the time of the cleaning. Kate met me at my place of employment to pick up a set of keys and left them in the apartment right where I asked. I had left out a set of clean linens anticipating changing them when I got home, but Kate and company had already taken care of that, which was a nice added touch. I would definitely recommend Kates Cleaning for apartment cleaning in the Chicago area, and will hire her company again in the future.

As I heavy traveler, I frequently rescheduled, canceled, or moved cleanings, and Kate was always accommodating.Kate’s prices are fair, her team is trustworthy, and her services left my apartment spotless.

I used Kates for over two years and was always very happy with the service. There must have been a management change in 2019 because I have had nothing but poor experiences this year. I hired Kates for a deep cleaning and came home to crumbs on the floor and smudges on the mirrors and counter tops. I right away sent Kates a message with photos of the mess and asked for a refund or follow up cleaning. Kates never got back to my finance and I. We have a dog camera and were able to see the cleaning person spend barely thirty minutes in our place and leave...so much for a deep clean! I have since tried to reach out for the past two months and have not heard back at all. Very disappointing!

Kate is not a good person. Only on it for the money. But money doesnt continue when you cant keep customers happy. I will never request her service again . so unprofessional.

Kate and her husband are great. Always on time, and also willing to change times if our schedule needs it for some reason. They are quick and efficient, but still do a nice job. Highly recommended.

Apartment was cleaned so well it made my girlfriend cry.

This place is a joke, unfortunately i cant post a comment without a star, otherwise they dont deserve anything. I called monday to schedule a home cleaning service and i explained to her what had happened to me. My pipes melted and water leaked all over the 2nd floor. I told her I want somebody to clean after all the work is done in our house. She scheduled me on thurs (today) at 9:00. The next day I recieved a txt message from her asking if they can clean the house a day earlier. I explained to her that the painters will be painting the stairs and they wont be able to use it. She then put me down back on thurs after 12. Again i explained to her that I have to work at 2 pm. And asked if i they can come earlier than that. She said ok. Today i called in the morning to asked if they can possibly come earlier and she said they cant promise me that but she committed toarrive between 1-1:15. Around 1:15 no one showed up. I called to ask how far away they are...she said 15-20 mins. Which means i cant make it to work at 2. I got a little bit upset and reminded her that they are the ones who asked to reschedule and she denied it and told me she is cancelling the job and hanged up. So unprofessional. Dont hire them. They have no credibility and is very rude and just uneducated. Dont trust this company to go inside your house. These people are not honest. So beware.
