Decent clean for the price! I’ve been to about a dozen washes in the area, and this place went the extra step when I asked to put some more time into my interior. Car looks and smells great and certainly very affordable. I’ve come to the conclusion that in order to have EVERY tiny little dirty spot cleaned on your car, you have to spend the $$$$ for a full detail. But after going through here, they certainly got most of what other car washes have missed. The manager on duty was very nice about letting the staff know to put some extra time into my interior. That goes a long way to me.

Had the full detail package... inside and out... inside was 4 star... exterior 3 star... several areas not clean on edges and undercarriage... and windshield had streaks and was not washed just simple spray squeegee... paid 350... not worth it

Detailing, not so detail oriented. I had taken a friend’s car in as a surprise for them. It had been quite a while since the interior had a good cleaning, so it was definitely returned better than it was. For $160 though I expected a lot more. All of the dirt in photos I’ve added came off fairly easy with wet wipes. You can see where they didn’t even bother moving the shifter to clean the other side. Service was very friendly and they were fast.

You cant beat the quality and price of services here. Youll see a lot of different vehicles - many pricey - with one thread in common: owners that care about the value of their cars. The staff are diligent and efficient, couldnt imagine goi g anywhere else after finding the gem tucked in the heart of the city.

I have a black Shelby GT500, and it’s near impossible to find a non-shady, non-cash-only hand car wash in Chicago. I stumbled across this place on Google, and it is exactly what I’m looking for. Not only do they have unlimited car wash passes you can buy, but they have a nice waiting room and you can watch your car being washed through the waiting room windows (and the waiting room is elevated). They take credit as well as cash, and overall it’s a great place to go. Their standard wash is perfect for me as they hand wash the outside, do a quick inside clean/wipedown/vacuum, and then shine your tires! And on your way out they hand dry the outside with microfiber towels and compressed air!Edit: As for some of the negative reviews, they dont seem credible. Ive gone here more than 20 times and they usually have a line of mostly high-end cars down the block waiting. If you happen to notice they missed a spot during detailing (which has never happened to me), just point it out and they will clean it right then and there for you.

Every time I go my car looks brand new. Theyre pretty quick. And when I leave I dont see water dripping off my car like other hand car washes, which leaves water marks.

This is by far, hands down the best hand car wash in the city. Abel and his team truly care about not only your car but more importantly you. He will work his hardest to provide you the best customer service. I bring my 20 year old Mercedes SL600 into see him often as well as my Range Rover Supercharged. I wouldnt trust anyone else but River North Hand Car Wash. I have been going here for 5+ years and have had my cars washed, detailed, rim repair and of course the occasional panel paint for those unpredictable scrapes here and there. BEST CAR WASH AND DETAIL JOINT AROUND!

Hours on google state that the car wash is opened until 6pm on Saturdays. I came in eager to get my car washed, to get turned away by an employee stating that they close at 5pm instead of 6pm. I offered to pay more and give a nice tip, however the employee was not willing to help. This would have been my first time here, but I will not come back again due to lack of customer service.

By far the best spot for all my car care and needs!! The staff is super friendly. Any time I am in the city I make sure to swing on by for a wash!!

They do really good work but for the price I want my car looking perfect and I found quite a few areas that were missed. Seems so much smarter to just wash by hand and save the $40. If I were to get waxing done, or tints, or a full detailing then I would definitely go here.

I had bought a Groupon for $73 for a full exterior detailing which regular value was $170. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and they are very helpful and flexible with you. The only thing wad they only had appointments very early before 9am and had to drop off my car for about 5 hours. I ended up rescheduling twice because of my work schedule and both times were before 9am but I asked them it I could bring in the car at 10 because it was the only time I could and they said it was ok. I dropped off my car at 10am on a Tuesday morning. They told me it would take around 5 hours or so for the job to be done. They ended up calling me a little before 1pm and told me the car was ready. My car looked immaculate! I was very happy with the job they did. BUT after one day of driving it, it looked the same as before. Now my car is garbage kept and only 3 years old. I wanted to get a full exterior detail because I wanted to get rid of some swirls I had on my car do to a horrible experience I had at a hand only car wash. I dont know what they put on my car but for the first day no swirls but after a day or two they started showing again. One of the main reasons why I specifically chose this place was because Ive passed by a couple of times and I always saw a lot of Luxurious cars,trucks and SUVs there. I got lucky I found a Groupon because I didnt pay the $170. It makes me wonder if they did they job they did because I used a Groupon and if i would of paid normal they would of done a better job....?

I️ told them a few droplets were left last time and Abel himself got out the air hose to make sure I️t was thoroughly dry. That’s listening to your customers and the service is much appreciated. I was so excited to find this place in the middle of the city. Once I found it, I fell in love with the service: friendly, efficient, helpful, great follow through. Oh, and by the way...amazing car wash deal! What a great feeling hopping into your car as they bring it around for you when it is done. This has been my go-to place since I moved to Chicago 12 years ago, and today they again went above and beyond. Long story short I brought my car in yesterday for an exterior/interior detailing and when I went to pick it up this morning Abel called me to the back and showed me a surprise. He told me he worked with my wife behind my back to have my windows tinted. My wife said he was terrific throughout the whole process, and he even looked excited himself when he showed me. The place is just wonderful, with great people who do quality work. Theres no reason to go anywhere else.

The tow truck driver was very helpful. When he arrived I had gotten the car started. He checked the car and couldnt find any problems. It wasnt overheating and the battery was fine. He was very reassuring. I would recommend this company.

I stopped by the East Bank club location today since I was at the club to work out. I just picked up my car and it looks great! All of the guys there were super nice and definitely give it five stars for attention to detail. They had my car pulled up and ready to go when I laughed and a super fast friendly check out, pretty sure this is going to be my regular wash from now on!!

I decided to have my car detailed inside and out because of the location and the one previous experience I had there which was good.I recently moved to the neighborhood and took my car for a regular wash and it was fine. I decided to get my car detailed and it was a nightmare from the moment I checked in.The manager was rude, told me to fill out some paper and leave. I did and asked when I can pick up and he said in the afternoon. I asked for estimated time so I can plan my work schedule. 5 pm came around and I had to call them and when I picked up my car, it still had bugs on it and it was clearly not detailed.I told the manager (name unknown because the lack of professional attire or name tag) and he and 2 others came out to clean. I started to point out more spots and he wanted to clean them right then but I did not have time to wait. I had to get on a conference call. He had over 7 hrs. To clean the car. I told him I would bring it back later and he said its clean and to leave.I would NEVER ever recommend this place. The service was horrible and the prices are not cheap.You can go down the street to we wash car wash in River west. I would recommend any other place besides here.

Ive lived downtown Chicago for over 16 years now and in that time have had 8 different cars. At the same time - Ive been to nearly a dozen formats of car wash establishments. River North Hand car wash is hands down the best establishment if you are seeking the best value for your dollar. Adding to that - in my entire time coming to this place - they had the same manager - Abel. I swear this guy works 24 hours a day 7 days a week...he runs the show and it shows as his employees are very loyal and energetic. If you need a car wash go here - if you need a detail go here - if you need a tint go here. Even if you got into a small fender bender - they can fix that too. If you head there on a sunny Saturday - it may be a bit busy - but the wait will be worth it as you will find a lot of fancy cars while waiting. This place caters to both entry level autos all the way up to supercars.

The guys at River North car wash always do a fantastic job! We will only get our car washed from them. Theyre fast, courteous and do an excellent job. They have good pre-paid packages available too.

It took me 170 dollars plus tips and 7 hours only to get inside detail clean. When I got my car, I checked inside, it was horrible. Only looked like using vacuum clean the floor. It only deserves at most 30 dollars plus tips clean. Seat belts dirty as hell! All stains in the car were not removed AT ALL!!!!!!!! I asked some workers to clean some obvious stains in front of me, and it looks a little bit better after they did it. This showed they didn’t do it at all in that 7 hours when they “deep clean”my car! I will never go back to this place and never recommend anyone to go there!!! They are losing their service integrity and customers. DON’T GO THERE!!!!!!

Excellent experience. Dropped my luxury car off at 9am. They actually called me to pick it up early too :) This is the third detail in the last couple years. Interior/exterior looks brand new! Showroom quality!! (Purchased off Groupon for a great deal.) Highly recommend their services.

I gave my car on Friday. I paid on Groupon $119 (this was on sale- 60% off). I say this service, MAXIMUM, should cost $19, not $119. They were with the car for 6 hours; they did what they did in 6 hours what anyone else could do in 15 minutes and only $20 in supplies. Never, ever, go to this car wash service. Save your money- you could do it better yourself.

This was my third time here. I dropped my car off for my 9 oclock appointment came back at 2 it still wasnt ready. Waited a little longer and had to ask a worker if it had been brought back in to be finished. He said he would find out & never got back to me. They were to busy finishing other customer vehicles before finishing mine. Appointments should be priority, but obviously they arent here! Only good thing is Ibwas offered a free car wash for my 7 hour wait. Ill be back for my free wash.

At first glance (and the rush to get me out of there) the exterior and interior looked clean but today, I see the results of a half done interior and exterior detail job. A business only gets one chance to make a good impression and one that leads to repeat visits. They blew it! Now, Ive got to finish the job myself...

Had a Great experience will be back. After years of going to a different River North location I thought I would try them. Not only was my car cleaned quicker than I expected they found my wifes sunglasses that were missing for 6 months,

The first time they detailed the car they did a really poor job. Left the entire dash dirty, mirror had crud all over it, and they obviously didnt even vacuum the trunk.Brought the car back and the manager redid the car in 5 minutes. They fixed a few of the problems pointed out but its still nowhere near being worth $160. They just ran a rag over it - which for whatever reason they didnt even bother to do the first time.For sure wont be returning and wouldnt recommend anyone go there in the first place.

I stopped in today while I was at a meeting at East Bank Club. Ive been to their main location before but never realized they had one here. I was super pleased with their work as usual and love the convenience of the location here at the club, Ill definitely be back!

DO NOT do business with these guys. I was a customer for unlimited car washes for a year through my garage on Dearborn. To say that the service was a rip off is an understatement. There were many days that they didnt even show up and when I complained I was told that there werent enough cars to wash on those days so they wouldnt come to just wash my car—something that would have been good to know before I paid for an entire year of unlimited car washes. Terrible customer service and not an honest company. And to top it off they renewed my service for another year, charging my credit card WITHOUT my authorization. Pretty shady.

Very poor experience. Heres why:- Scheduling: You must email (no phone) for reservations and wait a few days. When I inquired about the delay I was told Lissette only works nights. So a weekend email gets answered on Tuesday and when you reply to that email youll get an email on Thursday.- Quality of cleaning: I had their most expensive service, the High Speed Buff and Wax. This promises to remove surface scratches and any oxidation. When I checked my front bumper it was still spotted with bug smudges and road grime. When I pointed this out to the manager I was told it was in the paint. When I insisted they go back and re-buff the front, everything came out. I could have picked it all out with my finger nails, but then why pay over $100?- Customer service: I dropped my car at 8:45am and told them Id come back at 5pm to pick it up. I was not told I should call ahead, but when I arrived at 5:25 I had to wait until 5:55 to have my car brought from their other garage/lot. The entire time the manager kept saying another minute. Granted there was likely traffic, but I expected my car was around the corner, not across town.If I had to give them some credit, its for a comfortable and warm waiting area. Otherwise the entire experience was a disappointment and a huge waste of money. Im new to the City and while RNHCW is close to my work and home, I will not be using them again. Too many other options out there.

It IS difficult to schedule, and appointments book out a month or more in advance . The reason is they do a fantastic job and are super busy . I have taken my car here 5 times over last 3 years and EVERY time I am bowled over by how amazing it looked at pick up . Alway do the 3 package Groupon and never a problem redeeming .

I got 2 groupons to use on my cars. I tried to call and make an appointment, but they wouldnt let you. You can only go to there website and leave your your formations and they are supposed to get back to you within 48 hours. Of course 48 hours passed and nothing happened, few weeks passed and nothing happened.So I gave them a call and told them about the situation, there response was, I CANT HELP YOU, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE WEBSITE FOR APPOINTMENTS.Once again i went to their website and requested an appointment, this time i get an a date that is A MONTH AND A HALF away. Needless to say I went to Groupon and cancelled my deal with them.

Worst Scheduling EVER... I went to their website, placed in my desired time and date. Website says someone will get back to you in 48 hours. Never heard back from them. Called 3 days after visiting website and requesting update on my request. Sorry sir no one called you back theyll call you back in 4 days. Hmm well that would be after my requested appointment. Well sir thats too bad is what I was told. The first available is July 6th 2015. today is June 1, 2015. I say I need my car detailed this week. Well sir thats too bad we have no available. ok what if some one cancels? no one cancels.Really nice way to run a business. Update your website to 2015 so people can see what times are available and how to schedule around your flexibility... I dont think Ill entrusting them to my vehicle anytime soon.

Quite possibly the worst treatment I have ever received from a merchant.I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have the interior of my car detailed and specifically stated that I have a groupon order for the service, at the time they said they were completely okay with it.To begin with, the location is very sketchy. Its an out of the way, small, dainty slab of concrete hole in the wall with no room to maneuver your car. If you have an SUV it is absolutely miserable to navigate your way through without seeming like a bull in a china shop. There was tubing everywhere and cleaning products were in disarray.The staff, particularly the front desk guy was plain obnoxious and extremely difficult to understand because he doesnt speak. He mumbles. When I arrived to my appointment, he started by making me wait 20 minutes while fumbling with his iphone. Then simply turned me away and said they had no spots available and gave me a curt sorry, even after I explained to them that I drove 40 minutes out to get the detailing done. He even had the gall to lecture me on how busy his service was and that certain reservations took priority over others.His words were quote, I dont care, its not my problem, now please move your car.Am I going to recommend this place? No. Sub-par service with sub-par treatment from sub-par staff. If you want better detailing services, there are plenty available in the Chicagoland area, for your sanity do not choose this one.

I had a 7:30 AM appointment here for a detail.. 10 minutes early to make sure I was on time. I sat outside until 8 oclock for 40 minutes as the staff trickled in. After repeated phone calls to the office someone finally answered and was completely apologetic and said they will open sometime soon. Dont mind the fact that its also 25 minutes each way from home to get here.. So I waited about an hour and a half with nothing to show. Horrible, horrible rude service I will never come back here again. Given the lack of service before I even walked in the door I can only imagine that the lack of attention to detail is even worse once on any type of detail or wash.

Horrible. Only way you can schedule an appointment is on their website. They say they will contact in 3 business days I have been waiting all week. Spoke to a guy on the phone who told me I cant make an appointment and didnt seem to care that I was having trouble making one. Have a Groupon with them that will probably expire before I ever hear back from them. Get your car washed somewhere else.
