Everyone is so kind. My friend started working here and its the best environment for him and for all of his customers such as myself. They are professional but also know how to have a great time. They do appointments and walk ins but can also work with you in case they are busy. Definitely recommend any of these dope barbers!

Ive lost count how many barbershops Ive been to throughout the years that have not been up to my standards. Especially when I have really long hair. Ruel is a perfectionist, and takes his time. Ive never felt rushed. I havent let anyone else cut my hair in years other than him. I have even flown back to get cleaned up by him, or just go grizzly until hes able to. Highly recommend him.

All and all hes one of the many professional barbers at this shop and ever since the move the Location has been on the rise.

They were over 30 minutes late for my appointment, which wouldnt have mattered too much, except they charge $60 for a simple cut. Dont bother if you are on a budget.

Ruel is a true professional and master of his craft. It’s hard to find a real barber in The chicagoland area. I drive an hour every week to two weeks to see Ruel. Every barber at Rockstar is a true professional. I appreciate the conversations not just with my barber but every barber. It’s a true barbershop experience.

Total rock stars! Owner Ruel is a true craftsman barber, and a gentleman. Great customer service all around. Shop vibe is super chill and friendly, all the barbers are friends and you can tell there are tons of regulars. They play great music, we had old school hip hop last time I was in. I got a hot towel shave for my face and head from David, who was super professional and gave a great result. Best of all, you can connect and book appointments right here through the new messaging feature in Google maps! Overall awesome local shop in East Village, my new regular.
