The barber seemed cool enough but I wouldn’t trust this place with your beard. I came in looking for just a trim and instead had most of my beard sheared off including my mustache for some reason. Not sure why he took such liberties and got so aggressive with chopping everything off. I wish I had never gone.

This is the best mens barbershop in the city. Have tried a few different locations and Maestro consistently delivers a perfect haircut every time. He listens to what you want done and then spends so much time and effort into delivering exactly what you want. Hes also a great guy to chat with if youre feeling talkative, otherwise (and this may sound weird, but...) hell read your mood and work in silence if thats what youre feeling like that day! Honestly have recommended this guy to all my friends and neve post reviews, but wanted to help him out and share how excellent my experiences have always been.Oh, the free drinks and massive plush chairs in the waiting area dont hurt either! Maestro provides a great barbershop experience! I’ve been coming here for 3 years, and he is always incredibly precise and detail-oriented when he cuts my hair. Prior to my haircuts, he offers refreshments and provides comfortable chairs to sit in. I also really like his online booking system, as it’s very easy to make appointments. My husband always looks for a place to get his haircut and a shave and this place did not disappoint. This is the second time we have come here and he loves it! He had the owner and this last time he had Lonnie. Their work is impeccable and they pay such close attention to detail. The waiting area is killer too, recliners and a flat screen tv. The location in river north is awesome and convenient as well. He always looks forward to coming to Chicago to come here. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I have been coming to Maestro since I moved to Chicago over 3 years ago. He is the best barber Ive ever had. I originally found him when I lived in the neighborhood, but continue coming back even after I relocated. The shop is super clean and very inviting, and the cuts are great. They have done a fantastic job on my hair and with my beard and the quality is as good as when I first started coming.Additionally, the shop is taking great care with COVID-19 precautions.Highly reccomend this spot.

The worst customer service and hair cut I ever had!I made and appointment and waited 30 minutes to be seen. When I told him to cut the sides shorter. He replied by saying that it wasnt what I told him. And by cutting it shorter, it was like doing the fade all over again. At the end, he didnt fade the sides the way I wanted.Plus, he didnt even cut my hair on top and I didnt say anything because he had an attitude.In addition, the Precision Haircut included shampoo and conditioner which I didnt get.I paid $46 including tip for a hair cut I didnt like. I dont even look like I had a hair cut. What a waste of time and money.I dont recommend this barber. Bad service!

I walked in to just check out the place and get appointment but Maestro got me in for hair cut and beard shaping within 30 min. So glad I stopped in because it was the best hair cut I have had in years. If you have a beard and want it shaped or cut then this is the place to go as they are pros!

The place itself is amazing. They provide you with water, juice, soda, or redbull. The waiting room has very comfortable couches. The barber chairs are fantastic!. The barbers know exactly what they are doing. Rashaad is the barber who cut my hair. He is an awesome barber and insanely skilled

Maestro is up on the 2nd floor, roll in the front door and take the elevator up. They market their dome trim as a precision haircut and it turns out it really is. There is a great attention to detail here and as a barber and shave shop you can feel the patience and care in everything they do that is forged by having the patience to shave another mans face carefully and delicately with a straight razor. Great place to get a trim, I havent tried a shave but I have seen enough to vouch for it. Note: Cash only.

Rashaad was legit!I was visiting Chicago from Kansas City for my birthday and got this scheduled as a surprise before we went out (apparently my beard wasnt up to par ha)I was late getting there because of traffic and had only been scheduled for a beard sculpting. Rashaad was cool enough to take the time to shave my whole head on top of the beard sculpting I was scheduled for, even though he had quite a few other appointments to get to. He went through the trouble/out of his way to give me a good experience and so the least I could do is leave a review to show my appreciation. That is one more reason I will be back to Chicago.Also worth mentioning, people had commented on my beard and how good it looked while we were there and even when I arrived back to work on Monday.It was my first time to go to a barber ever, so if its your first time to check out a barber, this is the right place to go to get a good experience whether you live their or are from out of town. I will be back again.Note: The map was kind of confusing when Ubering that corner but you can see their barber shop through the windows on the second floor of that building. You walk in the door, look up to your left and see it. Theres an elevator straight ahead to take up to the second floor.

Prices are outrageous!! I’ve been all over the world gotten haircuts in multiple cities and countries. I feel as if I were robbed! I was charged 40 dollars for a tape up and beard trim!! Total ripoff due to the location!! Highly dissatisfied customer!!
