Great experience! Everyone is really friendly, and being able to text to set up an appointment is amazing! My stylist was Jazzy, and she is so sweet and funny. I really enjoyed our conversation, and she did a great job cutting my hair and styling it. She recommended a conditioner for my hair too that I still use, and my hair still looks great. Definitely recommend coming here if you need a cut :)

Jazz has been my hairstyles for years and she always delivers excellent hair services. From Brazilian blowouts to my root touch ups, she does a wonderful job. She makes sure that I’m comfortable with the service we have planned and I feel like a brand new woman every time I leave her chair. Dan, the receptionist, always greets me with a welcoming smile and attitude. I’d recommend her and the salon time and time again.

I had the worst experience of my life! The “senior hairstylist” had no professionalism at all! His service was complete garbage! He didn’t ask me anything about my hair! He looked like he was in a rush. Didn’t ask no questions, just cut. It was my first experience and a experience I will never attend again! A $10 barbershop around my area was better! A waste of $50! And there’s no refunds as well. If I were you guys, I wouldn’t go here. Go somewhere else.

I cant recommend this place enough! Ive been on a hair journey growing out my hair over the last 7 months without a cut. Needless to say, my hair needed to get cleaned up (and as a guy whos always had short cuts, I needed to learn how to take care of long hair!).David was absolutely amazing. He walked me through the science of my hair, and helped me better understand a healthy routine and daily maintenance. I showed him a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and, honestly, he NAILED IT. I walked out of the salon with a smile on my face (and I swear I got a few friendly eyes directed my way from strangers passing by).11/10 would recommend. Her personal style is professional and customized just for her; knowing that she is allowed to express her self and the owner is ok with that makes me feel comfortable there. Amazing salon, responsive and friendly staff who have given me my favorite hair cuts of recent years. Stevyn is an amazing stylist who listens to exactly what I want and helps me find a style that looks great. I started coming here in March of last year; I walked in looking like Michael Cera and now I’ve walked out looking like Chris Evans. The absolute master David Lasalle has completely transformed my look, my hair’s texture, and my styling habits. I can’t recommend him enough; I had dry, poofy, frizzy blonde hair, and through his recommendations and explanations (he knows all the science behind it all, a true professional), he has made my hair silkier, textured, and my poofy frizz has turned to curls.These people will teach you everything you need to know about your hair, you won’t regret it.

I went in tonight with Covid hair. - long curly mess. I havent had my hair this long for 30 years. After searching on-line I decided to give David a try.He crushed it! Ive never had a stylist who truly understood curly hair. Most stylists just cut it like straight hair and leave you with few options outside of cutting them all off. David gets it. I love this place. I followed my stylist here from another shop. Jazzy is the absolute greatest! I’m always kinda awkward when it comes to small talk but this gal is next level at making you feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. We laugh we cry and by the end of it I’ve got a gosh darn amazing hair cut before I even know what’s happened to me. She pampers you with the shampoo and is always attentive to your needs. Whether it’s another pour of wine or coffee or it’s just talking music or video games, this girl does it all with ease and style. I won’t go anywhere unless she is there! The absolute best I’ve ever had and I’d recommend anyone to try her out for a great cut/style and an even better hangout. I always love getting my hair done here. Its so clean and comfortable! I usually go to Jazmine Ruiz, who does such a wonderful job with both cut and color. Go to Jazzy especially if you want to do some funky colors -- Jazzy is EXCELLENT at making my rainbow hair dreams come true! I have also gotten some hair treatments and waxes, and I am always super happy! Chicago Male isnt just for men -- anyone can get their hair done there.

I visited the salon this past Wednesday (6/20) and had a wonderful experience. Called ahead to make a reservation and the whole process was painless and efficient. Upon arrival to the shop, everyone was friendly and welcoming, particularly Lake.My barber was Jason, who was able to shape my hair into exactly what I wanted and did it expertly. The glass of wine I was given made the whole experience even better, as everything they do is elevated at this location. Fantastic service and a very knowledgeable staff. Chicago Male is my new favorite spot! Hospitality is top of the line.

First off when you go in they are so welcoming and very friendly. Jazzy did my hair and did a wonderful job to make my hair look nice and back to life. She also did my eye brows and came out awesome. Shes wonderful :)

When I moved to Chicago, I tried a few places that were just ok. Then I found Christian at Chicago Male Salon and he has been giving me the best cuts and colors of my life! I came in wanting something new, never having been happy with my hair and he taught me how to work WITH my curly hair and how to welcome highlights for the first time. 10/10 would recommend Christian! Great service. Only four star because, while they accepted credit cards, tips had to be in cash. Should have had a big sign announcing this. I was a first time customer, did know it, and had to went out in the rain and paid $5 ATM fee to get $10 for a tip.

Best haircut of my life. Christian is a pro and made me feel at ease. He also gave me great maintenance advice and styling tips. I walked out of there a happy, refreshed man. I will be back, albeit not every 5 wks. as recommended - price was a bit high from what I was used to.. but for the cut, shampoo and hot towel service, I can justify another visit as long as I reside in this neighborhood. I purchased a styling product, which I love. No pressure or upsell tactics. 5 stars!

I am going to be quite honest, I was very hesitant to try this place out as I have heard some negative things. But I believe in trying things for myself. Overall, I would say that I am a fan of the place. I have been to many high-end salons and I am very particular about the way they operate. I noticed the place was very clean and hair was removed from the floor almost immediately -- which alludes to the attention to detail they have. Second, the service was good. The stylist asked follow up questions and made disclaimers so that I knew exactly what was going on, which I appreciated. No alterations were made without checking in. The hot towel on the face is a good addition to the service and is included with the service! Overall, Im pretty sure I will be returning.

I had a facial done at Male Salon an I wasnt very happy with the Esthetician at all, when he was done with my face I still had noticeable black heads on my face, when I asked him why werent they removed, he replied that they were part of my skin, RIGHT! I had blackheads extracted before that were deep in my skin and were removed with no problem. For what I payed there should have been no blackheads at all present on my face. I will never do business there ever again.

Nate has been styling my hair for well over a year now. His cuts have been the most consistent and skilled I have had in a very long time. I wish I had found him 10 years ago. Its no more expensive than most salons.

I always go to Christian (the bearded fellow with arm tattoos) for haircuts and highlights. He is the best colorist I have had and I am always very satisfied with my highlights from him. As well, my highlights from him look natural and well-done for a longer time than was the case at previous places I went to, where my blond highlights would look washed out and embarassingly in need of a touch up much faster. I believe this is because he is experienced at what he does and has a very good understanding of what shades of blond pair well with my hair type, and of the science of hair dyeing in general.I will keep going to Christian for haircuts or colorings of any type for as long as I live in Chicago. The other stylists are very nice too - I am just very satisfied with Christians work and he is a meticulous, friendly guy who provides thoughtful service.I ask for Christian when I need to get body parts waxed as well and he does a good job. I was previously waxed several times at a different salon for the same cost here and kept noticing that what I got waxed would look red in some places for multiple days. Ouch.... I thought I healed slowly back then because I was diabetic, but what I get waxed looks presentable faster when I get waxed at Chicago Male. I was also waxed at least once each by two other gentlemen here before getting waxed by Christian and had no complaints. All were well-trained and interesting to chat with.One guy I know told me he hesitates to go to this salon due to the atmosphere. It is a salon full of well-groomed guys and maybe it is not the environment for everybody. I cannot really comment much on atmosphere except I feel welcome and it is nice that there is coffee, tea, and wine. As well, the stylists I have met there in the many months I have been going to Chicago Male have been pleasant, attentive, and respectful.

Jasons attention to detail leaves me very satisfied after each visit. Its a pleasant environment, and not too hard to get an appointment.
