A fun place to get a haircut. Iconic and classy, this place was a great find. Kim was super friendly and gave a good-looking cut at a very fair price. Would recommend.

VERY good haircuts in a convenient location. Just got home from the shop and from what I can tell so far, its one of the better haircuts Ive ever received.

Kim is excellent. Great haircuts and a great price for the Loop. She’s close to Mag Mile which is a plus.It’s a bit hard to find at first (had to ask a security guard once inside the building where the barbershop was), but once you know where it is, you’ll want to go back and back and back again.She’s professional and really, really nice. Kim and the haircuts she gives are some of the best things about Chicago.

I showed up needing a haircut FAST. It took me a while to find the shop too, and when I walked in the barber there, Soon, told me she was closing up. She must have noticed utter despair all over my face as she agreed to give me that haircut I desperately needed for my second job later that day. It was done quick and very well. It was exactly what I needed and just in the nick of time. This place and the owner are great! Check it out!

I had the pleasure of dropping by today to get a much needed haircut while back in Chicago visiting family. It was my first time there and Kim made me feel very welcome and gave me an excellent fade and hard part. I can’t wait to come back and get another cut!!!

Stopped in here on a Saturday AM as my hotel was nearby and folks seemed to really like this barber. One word to sum up my experience: perfect. I absolutely loved my haircut and she had some great hair care/styling tips as well. Very personable and highly experienced too. I really wish she lived near me back on the east coast. Cash only but there’s an ATM not far away. Definitely give her a shot if you wanna look fresh for your night out in Chicago!

Came to Chicago for a wedding and didnt have a chance to get my haircut before we left. Showed up without an appointment on a Saturday and they fit me in quickly. Great haircut and friendly service.

Consistently good haircut. Same day appointments not always available, but if you call early in the day you may get be fortunate enough to get one. Never had to wait more than one day for an appointment. Kim will rinse you hair after the cut if you ask. New street level entrance off of Wacker Drive is convenient.

Kim was terrific. The cut is $30 but considering she came from a salon at the Marriott where she oversaw the whole shebang, you get more than a regular cut. She simply asked how often I got my haircut and then got to work.I trust her implicitly with my diminishing hairline and Ive only been there once. Dont let the location fool you. This woman is terrific.

Im updating this to 5 stars from 4. Kim has been cutting my hair for over a year and she is very good. She listens to my input, makes good observations, and only takes about 20 minutes (sometimes 30). Pricing is also reasonable for downtown at $30. Her shop is hard to find, but worth the effort.

I have been going to the chain-hairdressing companies like Fantastic Sams, Great clips and Sports clips for over 6 years now. I figured it was finally time to get serious about haircuts especially since my experience varied wildly from store to store (and even in the same store) at the said salons. I read the reviews about Kims barbershop and even though it was a tad more than what I am used to paying for my haircut, I wanted to give her a shot.I can confidently say that his has been hands-down the best haircuts Ive received. The store is manned only by Kim the owner so you know that the nice haircut you got last time is the haircut you will get this time. Kim is professional and I always have a nice time chatting with her while she works her magic on my hair. She only accepts cash by the way but there is an ATM within the building in case you forgot to keep enough in you wallet. The shop is a little hard to find within the maze of the building so I suggest reaching the building at least 5-7 minutes early your first time. You need to call Kim at least a few hours in advance since her spots fill up fast. All in all, I am very glad I shifted to going to Kims and have never been happier with my haircuts.

Very nice lady, however my haircut is very poor. Behind my ear there is a visible mistake cutting into my hair. She kept saying Hair will always grow as if to justify her poor job. Not good for young people

Kim is warm and friendly and a talented barber. I walked in without calling ahead and received a consultation, cut to the specs we discussed, shampoo, and all in less than 30 minutes. I am very happy with the results. Highly recommend.

Came in for a quick last minute haircut. She was nice enough to squeeze me in even though she had a fully booked day. Haircut was great! If Im ever back in the city, Ill come here again. The shop is a little hard to find though. Its down one of the smaller hallways in the downstairs of the building. Head down the small hallway near the Citi Bank and you should find it at the end across from a Japanese food restaurant.

All the great reviews are spot on; Kims service is great. The building is easy to find. Go into the lobby of 111 East Wacker (there are steps up from street level) and then head down the escalators to the lower level. The shop is near Pot Bellys. Just wander around until you find it. Itll only take a couple of minutes. Seems like making an appointment is the best way forward. I just dropped in though and only had to wait a few minutes. She said that 75% of her business is regulars so that tells you something - people keep coming back!

Kim is great, my haircuts are always consistent and shes also given me great tips on keeping my hair healthy. Before becoming a regular, I had tried several other barbershops and they were no where near as good as Kim. I highly recommend this place!

What a great lady, she was so sweet. I enjoyed getting to know her, and considering my mom is a hair stylist, it was some of the best work Ive seen!!! Certainly worth the commute!

Great barbershop, both Peter and Kim are friendly, attentive and skilled. Never had a bad haircut here, and I keep coming back. Its a little hidden in one of the back hallways of the Illinois center (hallway east of Potbellys), but worth finding them!

Ive come all the way from Melbourne, Australia and was looking for a haircut. Kims barber shop popped up and she is a wonderful kind lady who took attentive care of everything I was asking for. Definitely would recommend.

I was in Chicago last week for business and desperately needed a haircut. I called around and came across 111 Barber Shop. They didnt have a ton of reviews but the ones they did have were all 5-Star so I said why not. Kim was a true professional. Come to find out, shes been in the business for over 30 years! She did a fantastic job and I couldnt be happier. Great conversation, very fair prices & a top notch cut. I will definitely contact her again when I am in Chicago. Thanks Kim!

Kim is great. I have been going to this barber shop for all my haircuts since I started working downtown Chicago in 1996. Since Peter retired last year, I have only used Kim. I always call for an appointment first, so I do not need to wait in line.(Note - The location is on the concourse that is above street level. It is near a shoe repair store.)
