Hurray for NPRs Wait Wait Dont Tell Me! What a great show, and a perfect weeknight date night. Small auditorium makes for an intimate experience, maybe 300 in the audience? Note that theres NO coverage in the auditorium - no open WiFi and zero T-Mo service (dont know about other carriers). Show lasted about two hours, longer than we expected given the radio edit is 50 minutes. The Q&A at the end with Peter Segel was cool and unexpected. Easy access via the Monroe stop on the Blue Line.
Really excellent auditorium with very comfortable seating, gentle acoustics, and a calm atmosphere. The lobby area is nice as well. One issue is the periodic sound--albeit muffled and not too distracting--of the Blueline rushing by, so keep that in mind if you are putting on an event that needs total silence!
Great auditorium. Visited for a taping of NPRs news quiz show Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. It gets a bit warm in there when its full. You can also hear the blue line rumble by sometimes, not its not a big deal. Facilities outside were clean and the coat check was sufficient.
This is a standard corporate auditorium, transformed each Thursday night to tape Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. The seats are relatively comfortable, with great leg room. Acoustics were not bad, while sight lines were good. It would be useful to have better directions to the elevator, as the stairs were tough for one with knee issues.
Came here to see a live taping of the NPR radio show, Wait, Wait, Dont Tell Me! My wife and I loved the show. Extremely funny and well worth the ticket price of $30.00. The only problem is that you have to get your tickets a couple of weeks in advance on line to ensure you get a good seat. After the show, you go upstairs to the Chase Lobby and can get an autograph and take a picture with your favorite star. I got many good pictures of my wife and I with Bill Kurtis and Paula Poundstone. All the stars were very friendly and approachable. I would recommend this show and the Chase Auditorium to everyone. Put it on your list of things to see and do in Chicago!
Went to see Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. Had a fantastic time! The Chase Bank auditorium was very nice. The seats were comfortable and I enjoyed that it wasnt a large venue.
Very clean modern seats about 350-400. Nice size stage with good acoustic modernized equipment. New seats and covering makes for an even more comfortable experience. Large forier to accommodate pre-group gatherings. Not a bad location for speaking engagements or previewing of movies.
This is where my wife and I saw the recording of a Wait Wait - Don’t Tell Me radio episode. One of my favorite radio shows. Comfortable venue and not too big for this kind of event. Perfect place!
Our family went here for a taping of Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. It had been a couple of years since I was there. The show was entertaining as always. When they say theyre in the basement of the Chase bank, theyre telling the truth. During the show you can even hear the subway trains going past the building.
The 57th floor auditorium is a great location to hold meetings and conferences. You get a great view of the city from the floor to ceiling glass windows and lots of natural light streaming in during the day. The space is rectangular so the audience can get a great view of the speaker no matter where they are seated.Apparently Chase has an agreement with Wolfgang Puck as their preferred choice of caterer so you can be assured that whether youre having a simple breakfast or a full on meal, the food will be great.
Went here to see Wait Wait Dont Tell Me! Loved it. Great size venue for the show. You could hear everyone well. Great atmosphere good lighting. Really the perfect spot!
I have never have seen a live Wait, Wait Dont Tell show before. Over the years listening to it on NPR WBEZ (91.5FM). I thought it would be good to see a live show besides listening to it on the radio.
Good selection of food. The cafeteria has a number of different stations and each station has a different type of food. You can even mix and match. (They also have a salad bar)
Nice size, all seats are good view. Great accoustics. I went to see NPR Wait, Wait, Dont Tell Me. The production made the venue even better!
This place was awesome. And I think thats due to the fact that the Wait Wait Dont Tell Me NPR quiz show is recorded there. Had a great time and looking forward to watching them tape the show again
Beautiful venue. I cant wait to come back again.
We were here for a taping of Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. The show was fantastic. The auditorium was great. The bathrooms were horrible. No toilet paper, half the faucets didnt work.
Best auditorium seats in Chicago. Small and intimate. Saw Wait Wait Dont Tell Me and it is a treat. No bad seat in the place.
A quaint little Auditorium deep underground. It does smell a little musty like old basement down there but the show was casual and funny.
Its a cool place to hangout with family. There are lot of shows to cover and requires 🤗2 days to cover completely.
Underground theater. Its dated but kept nice. Its right next to the blue line so you can hear the train go buy but its not too loud.
Chase Auditorium is easy to get to and a nice venue. Not easy to see from all parts of the auditorium, but easy to hear everything that is happening.
A hidden gem in the city. Like a bunker of arts goodness.
Great space with a great cafeteria in the basement. The Starbucks is awesome with a convenience store as well.
Great place to see Wait, Wait Dont Tell Me.
Went to see the show wait..wait comfortable place, plenty of room.
Nice place to catch various viewings and meetings.
Really nice food court for lunch, downstairs. You cannot use your stars for free drinks at the Starbucks though.
Great place to see Wait, Wait... Dont Tell Me.. Wonderful show
This place is pretty cool. I love how the building looks and there is a great food court at the bottom.
The Auditorium itself if beautiful and comfortable, but getting to it can be awkward with escalators and stair6to navigate.
I was here for Technori, and I was really surprised at how nice it was. The seats are extremely comfortable.
Visited the Chase Auditorium for a Technori Pitch event. Fairly good auditorium setting.with decent acoustics for small to medium sized events. Also located close to restaurants and bars in the loop.
Great theater, well managed, location for most Wait Wait NPR show tapings.
Great place to enjoy a Wait Wait Dont Tell me taping
Went for WWDTM. Though it is a little odd going into the basement of a banking building when it is vacant after hours, it is a nice and intimate setting where the lack of cell reception allows you to escape.
This is a small and intimate space with great views of the stage from every seat. However, the venue is a bit dated.
The restaurants are generally pretty good. The pizza place sometimes burns the foods and tries to sell it anyway
The Chase Auditorium, 10 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60603 is inside the main bank branch in the center of the Loop. Great services available for end clients and much, much more.
Came here to see/hear Wait, Walt, Dont Tell Me.... Fun was had.
You can go to the lower level at the Urban Market for breakfast or lunch.
Great venue, but its hidden quite well.
Its a good auditorium. Good seats and good view of the stage.
Excellent production of Wait, wait, dont tell me
Absolutely LOVED seeing Wait Wait... Dont Tell Me live! Wasnt hard to find and the seats were very comfortable.
Lovely small theater with great sound.
A little bit confusing of walkways once indoors, but its a breathtaking building inside and out and exploring a bit of the building to find the auditorium two floors down was almost a pleasure.
Perfectly nice, not glamorous my any means, but very comfy seats. Go into the Chase Bank building at the 10 s Dearborn entrance, then go down the escalator to get to the theater.
Wait wait was a lot of fun.
Saw Hamilton here and loved every minute of it.
Went there for a private event. I enjoyed it.
Great place to have a healthy lunch
