They constantly shut down the amenities or mandated masks the last year plus when the rest of the large buildings in the neighborhood had made masks optional and kept amenities open. Meaning youre paying a high rent for amenities they arbitrarily shut down. Constantly making you check in with security to use the roof deck. They are completely inflexible when you try and work with them on anything related to your lease. A big corporate run building that is great at taking your money but not at taking your feedback. Lots of other options in the neighborhood.
This review is only for their leasing agent Ana Clemente. We ended up not signing the lease due to the AC problem in unit that they were not able to fix while we were in town for apartment hunting. However I just wanted to give a shout out for her because she was the most professional, super communicative, and reliable leasing/real estate agent I have ever dealt with!
5 stars for Oscar Vega and the LC Staff! Everything else in the city will feel like a downgrade after living at Lincoln Commons.
I lived here for a year and loved it! Head of Security, Oscar, is amazing! He makes sure he knows everyone in the building, where you truly feel like you are apart of the community. I have never felt more safe from the service Oscar has implemented for himself and his team.
Love this place! I used to live in South Tower in one bedroom apartment, now I moved to North Tower to two bedroom. I love both buildings equally. Apartments are just gorgeous, the roof top is more then amazing (especially during the summer), building is very well maintained at any time. There is no place in the city as LC...the location, the building position, this close to the Lake, not in DT but very close to as well....just great! They have 24h maintenance service and is not a joke. They are literally on spot at any time. It never took more then 30 minutes for them to show up after I would submit the request. Front desk personnel are mostly amazing. I have to give special thanks to Akif for everything that he has done for us while living in ST and to Oscar for being super nice, very friendly but professional eternally! Having Oscar at the front desk feels safe and very homey. Same we feel about Jarell and Lokisha. For the brand new building management is doing pretty amazing job! They keep improving day by day. Britney, the concierge, is great addition to the Team. There is no info that she would not provide for you, there is no situation that she would not help you with. I cant finish my review without mentioning Jessica and Maressa (Management Team) who would go above and beyond to accommodate any tenant. Well done with your Team Mike! And the last but not the least, this place can come a bit expensive, but well worth it!
Five stars for Oscar Vega - one of the most helpful, professional, friendly staff members I know. Oscar always was going out of his way to help my wife and I, and always with a smile. Thank you so much!
We have been living here since the apartments opened and have had an awesome experience. The apartments are decorated beautifully, nice appliances and provide good living space. The staff is very friendly, the place is kept incredibly clean, and the location is awesome. Right in the heart of LP and close to red/brown lines, bus stops and divvy stops in the summer too.I can tell that they continually find ways to make living at LC even better with new events, offerings and listening to tenant concerns. We hope to renew when our lease come to an end!:)
My boyfriend and I moved into the building in June and we couldnt be happier with our decision! The building is always kept incredibly clean, the staff is so friendly (especially Oscar at the front desk :)), and everything is top of the line. Deliveries are handled well and response time from staff is very quick.Update - While my experience living in the building was great, the move out process was terrible. Management will charge you for random charges that are normal wear and tear after living in a building for 2 years.
Not worth the money. I lived in Lincoln Common for a year and would not recommend it.First, you will be sold on the amenities, but thats a mirage. You will never be able to use them. Pre-covid when the pool was open, it was not possible to use it. The pool would typically have one resident and 50 non-residents packed in there, so no other residents could use it. It was like a frat party everyday. The amenity spaces are too small for the size of the building. There are never any seats available in the rooftop area or in the work from home space. If you want to use the gym, expect to wait 30 minutes for every piece of equipment. The gym is way too small for the number of residents.Second, management is unresponsive and rude. Management routinely ignored our questions. They also accused us of charges we did not incur (such as a late fee after LCs own payment system malfunctioned) and then were rude.Third, LC nickle and dimed us when we moved out. We moved out early due to Covid and family issues. We understood we owed our lease payments for the remaining month but asked if we could have parking and utility expenses removed for the remaining time, as every other building we have lived in has been flexible about such expenses. But LC simply did not care, made us pay every last penny, and then even charged us for utility charges we could not have possibly incurred after ending our electric service.Fourth, there is no enforcement of covid restrictions. Most people in LC do not use masks or socially distance. One highlight is that the front desk staff is fantastic. The apartments themselves are pretty, but its not worth the money in light of the poor management. Save yourself a headache and live somewhere else.
The nicest luxury apartments in the heart of Lincoln Park. After shopping around the neighborhood for a 1-2 bedroom, nothing else came close to it for the price. It includes all amenities(gym, lounge, game room, pool, 4 bbq stations, and the best view of Chicago). Couldn’t be happier to be able to come home to a nice and peaceful place like here. The business and restaurant around the neighborhood run a lot of promo and special deals for residents which is also a plus! Not to mention, the 24 hr security/ concierge service (Oscar is the BEST) and the whole staff are very friendly and welcoming. For an extra couple hundred dollars per month, you get a covered parking in the parking garage just across the street. They do allow pets for a one time fee and provide a pet spa to pamper your dog.
In my second lease, and still in love with LC
Great location, views, staff & apartments.
Happy tenant
