Ive been president of a 6 unit condo building for much of the past decade, and I can tell you that Lakeview Heating and Cooling (and Billy, in particular) is possibly THE finest contractor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with during this time.Unlike some better-known competitors, Lakeview does not pay commissions to their employees, so they dont have an incentive to sell you something you dont need. I did not trust my last HVAC firm, but I feel like I can trust Lakeview COMPLETELY. They took a lot of time to explain what was going on with our 15 yr old furnace and what my options were. I felt like they explained things so clearly that I could feel good about our decision to replace rather than repair.A few months after getting our new furnace - which by the way does a *much* better job of equalizing the temps between our garden level and 1st floor - one day our AC/furnace was not working. It turned out to be a blown fuse, and Billy was kind enough not to charge me for a visit! He also showed me how the flimsy filter I was using had bowed inward from pressure from the furnace, and how that may have tripped the fuse. Billy suggested not using pleated filters, but instead find filters that use fiberglass as they are more rigid - which should prevent this from happening again.Also, Billy showed up on time, and called 15 minutes in advance so we could secure our very barky little dog. I also had very good phone conversations with the owner, Tom. GREAT customer service, highly competent technicians, and really good employees top to bottom.

This is the second time Tom came to our condo to solve a HVAC problem for us. Both times Tom and his team were everything I was looking for - extremely responsive, professional, reasonable pricing, courteous and knowledgeable. We have used Lakeview Heating and Cooling a number of times - they replaced our HVAC system about two years ago, and have been out since to replace a faulty thermostat. They are quick to respond, professional and do quality work. We have recommended them to others and will continue to use them for any needs/maintenance surrounding our HVAC.

We have been waiting for bid from them for weeks. Weve called numerous times, sent messages, nada. If it takes this kind of effort to get a response from them when we are trying to give them money, whats it going to take to get service?

Our 14 year old furnace needed 2 motors replaced. They installed a new furnace saving over $3,000 compared to another large HVAC company with personalized service and honesty without trying to sell us an unnecessarily larger unit. I will definitely use them again for maintenance and whenever our 14 year old A/C gives up. I highly recommend them.

I called Lakeview when my A/C, which is on the roof, went out after a heat wave. I explained that my pregnant wife and young daughter were home and I needed help fast. They were able to accommodate me (due to a cancelation). Constantino was very thorough in explaining the problem and doing a quick repair. We were up and running within the hour. He texted pictures and clearly explained the cost. I cannot recommend them enough.

Expensive but they did great work getting one of my boilers fixed. The owner was SUPER helpful and patient, taking the time to explain to me the different parts of the system that were broken, how they worked, and why they needed to be replaced… It really helped me understand what was going on it made me feel like I was in good hands. As a property owner of several buildings I am constantly in need of one type of building repair or another. I will say that my experience with Lakeview heating and cooling was by far one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had of the year. Tom showed up for an emergency furnace repair at 10pm on New Year’s Eve, solved the problem, and made sure my tenants were warm. Highly recommend this company!!

I dont even bother looking to anyone else. They are on time. They are clean. They are so reasonable about everything. I own more than one property, I run everything through them. My heat stopped working on a Sunday. I called on a Sunday, the phone was answered by the third ring and a technician was at my house by noon. My unit is fixed by Monday at 1 pm. What more can you ask for? In a business that can leave you feeling vulnerable, the team at Lakeview Heating and Cooling never fails.

Tony came out and took a look at the unit, hosed off the dirt and grime, checked freon...easy peasy. Great team to work with, came out within 24 hours of our first call!

Super excellent service. Our steam boiler exploded in the middle of the night on a Saturday, and I was up all night trying to research the best solution. Tom responded to a Home Advisor inquiry *in person* the next morning - a Sunday! By Wednesday of that same week, I had a completely new steam boiler installed with all new piping and a million other issues corrected as part of the install. These guys know steam. I found a million companies in the city that service electrical or forced air and water heat, but as far as true steam specialists, these guys are it, and they have a great relationship with parts suppliers to get superior, rare parts. Following boiler replacement, they came back a week later to balance all my radiators and install new radiator vents, a Nest thermostat, and new vent return into the boiler. Our gas bill and water bill both plummeted. The staff was responsive and super courteous to my family and my cats. Will definitely use them again. Its good to know there out there when you need them.

Great experience with this company. Called for an emergency repair when my heating went out. The repair technician Chris came out within the hour. Was professional, courteous and had mask on to be covid friendly which I appreciated. He took care of the problem immediately and for a reasonable cost. I highly recommend calling this local company for all of your hvac needs. I’ll be using them again in the future.

Im was very disappointed in my experience with Lakeview. I originally wrote asking for a help with our humidifier and saying we were considering a new HVAC. I feel like as soon as we got the new HVAC installed, they left us high and dry.The original furnace install didnt work with our thermostat, but they didnt check it. As a result, key functionality (variable speed) was broken. I have over 21 emails back and forth to try to get them to respond or answer our questions. It took 3 service visits to finally fix the problem, with multiple periods of waiting weeks to hear back from them.I originally said our humidity was low -- how can the problem be fixed? Their answer was to install a new humidifier, much like our current one. It didnt fix the problem at all. In fact, the humidity has *dropped* in our condo, to levels that I keep getting warning from our new thermostat. I paid for a new unit that made the problem worse, and their next suggestion was to get a steam humidifier. Considering the hundreds I gave them for the new humidifier to be a wash, I figured I might as well have them go for the steam unit. I have asked them 3 times for a quote on that, and never heard back. I dont think I ever will.I cant believe how unprofessional they have been throughout the process. I dont think its one person -- I think its a breakdown in communication between teams. Each time someone came out, it was someone new and we had to re-explain the problem all over again. The owner seemed knowledgable and helpful, but he is just one person, and the processes arent in place to make it a good experience with multiple techs.

Tom came out to look at the furnace, and had the issue diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes. Tom was very friendly and professional, and clearly described what the problem was, and charged a very reasonable rate for the service call. I contacted Lakeview to work on my hot water boiler because their website said they had experience with boilers. Not all HVAC companies are created equal when it comes to boilers! Since they were coming I asked them to do a service check on my forced air furnaces.The boiler turned out to be a bigger job than I expected, but Tom, the owner, and his team absolutely know what they are doing with boilers. They were professional, and explained everything they believed needed to be done. They were efficient, and pricing was more than fair. Lakeview is definitely my go to HVAC company now.

Water is leaking out of our furnace exhaust PVC piping. Someone came out to take a look, but they were under the impression that they were supposed to be coming out for something else so he took photos and said someone else would get back to me. I never heard back. After calling back on a Friday, I was told someone would come out on Monday to re-inspect the issue and give an estimate/recommendation on next steps. No one ever came. I called back again, but no one answered the phone and the voice mail says its full so a message cannot be left.They installed our furnace 2 years ago, and weve had leaking issues ever since. Theyre always really friendly when speaking to them so its disappointing to leave a negative review, however theyve repeatedly not followed through on their word. If I was in the market for HVAC maintenance or repairs, Id look elsewhere.

Edit:As you can tell from my original review, I was originally very pleased. So much so that I had them come back and install a new humidifier. We live in a multi-story townhouse, and there are massive deviations in temperatures between the floors. We decided that we’d put an automated damper system for zoning so it isn’t so wildly different in temps. It’s been over three weeks, and I haven’t even gotten the quote that I was originally told I’d have that afternoon. I’ve called about 4 times to follow-up, and it’s been radio silence in return. I really wanted to give them the business, but I can’t keep waiting around while it continues to get more consistently hot.Sooo have you ever moved into a place and Murphy’s Law just decides “I’m about to go full blown 2020 on these people”? After a crazy day of movers, deliveries, and last minute repairs done, all we needed was not having hot water. I took a look at the heater, and it seemed like the burner burned out. I, having scored well on my ACT reading comprehension in 2003, felt I could figure out how to relight from the instructions. Lo and behold the knob to relight the unit is broken. Not wanting to risk gas leaking while the fam happily gets ready for dinner upstairs, I decided to call someone who has likely dealt with this a time or two. Having heard good things about Lakeview, I gave them a call. The owner, Tom, answered and let me know that as he was actually on his way out for the evening he’d skip buzzing his on-call guy, and would handle it himself on his way home. Tom was over within 20 minutes and had us up and running! This, my friends, is how you earn customers. I certainly hope I don’t have further HVAC issues, but if I do I know who I’m calling!

Excellent company, Tony one of the service technicians came out to bleed my radiators and shut a radiator valve off. I called them Friday and they came out the next day. They are now my go to heating company.

The people are very knowledgeable and helpful. They also are very reasonably priced. They even were able to clean my A/C units even though I dont have a hose!

Their service and incredible expertise has helped our company stay cool during this summer. The assessment was done the same day they came in, the pricing was exactly in our budget and the installation was done impeccable that very same week. Had to fix a gas leakage and replace the humidifier. Both jobs were done well and timely.

Terrible experience. Paid 150 for nothing. They charged me for doing absolutely nothing. Said they replaced filter and didn’t. Said not to use the unit and would contact me that night or first thing in morning and it’s been 2 weeks . They will not answer phone or email requests. DONOT USE this Co. it’s. Rip off.

I called Lakeview after another HVAC company cancelled on me last minute. They were able to work me in the same day. Which is super helpful when your furnace isnt working. I ended up deciding to replace my 22 year old unit instead if fixing it. They did that the next morning and it works great. Everyone at Lakeview was awesome.

Called early on a Saturday Morning, a time was scheduled for first thing Sunday morning due to my scheduling, as they were willing to come out that day to help unclog an A/C condensation line.Tom was very helpful, explained everything thoroughly and provided insight on a couple of other questions I had. My 14 year old water heater went out. Most places I called said that it was past it normal life and needs to be replaced. Lakeview Heating and Cooling came out, lit the pilot light and charged $65 for coming out. Very knowledgeable, honest. I highly recommend.

I had called and scheduled an appointment to have my gas fireplace looked at. I was given an appointment window between 1 and 3 pm and was told I would get a call when they were on their way. By 3:30 pm I had not received a call and no one had shown up. I called Lakeview Heating and Cooling where their voicemail said to leave a message and I would receive a return call within 15 minutes. I never received a return call. This was 8 days ago. He sincerely apologized and rescheduled my appointment for the following day (on the house) to make up for the previous issue. Tom himself came to check out my fireplace and was prompt and courteous. Our A/C stopped working on a Sunday when it was 93degrees out. We called Lakeview Heating & Cooling - they were one of the only places we found open on a Sunday. They sent someone out within a few hours and our A/C was fixed and back up and running within the hour! Our furnace died in the beginning of February on a Saturday evening. My husband and I are first time home owners and slightly panicked. We are so thankful that we called Tom at Lakeview Heating and Cooling! Tom came out the same day we called (a Sunday) and had his workmen to our home the next day to replace the unit. They were extremely professional and very tidy with their work. As first time home owners we could have been taken advantage of in pricing but Tom really took care of us and was very honest about pricing and what actually had to be done and what could wait. Lakeview Heating and Cooling saved me on multiple occasions. My AC unit broke this summer. They recommended replacing the unit entirely instead of pumping money into a dying unit that was over 20 years old. This turned out to be absolutely the right call, and they were able to recommend an affordable unit to me and install within a week (while I was at work!).In addition, my heating has broken multiple times over the last few years during the winter. Each time, Tom (the owner) sent out a repair man or came out himself that day and fixed the problem.These guys are great to do business with--they will do the right thing, charge you fairly, and go above and beyond to be available when you need. Tom repaired my 20+ year old electric furnace, even though it meant figuring out how to replace outdated control components with more recent relay and sequencer designs. He will definitely be my first call for any future problems.

Not 24 hour service. No same day service. Never got back to me via phone even after leaving multiple voicemail and email. Dont trust all the fake reviews - owner response - dont advertise 24hours if no one answers the phone 24 hours even during regular day time on a saturday. Hire an answering service like VoiceNation at the least if youre going to advertise 24hrs. They dont cost you much.

They dont call back when they say they will, they make appointments and then dont have them on their schedule, after the schedule issue is fixed Tom the owner calls up and tells me they cant install the exact pump needed because i purchased it myself even though his office manager very clearly told me they can. these guys are not good!

No showed my four-hour window appointment. It was raining. I called and was told they must have written down wrong number. But they also had my email, and their office is a mere six houses away from my home.
