Very clean, good (although not exhaustive) selection of products and still offering the opportunity to adopt furry companions (see pictures). Weve been blessed with the love of a pair of bonded kitty sisters who we adopted at this PetSmart over 16 years ago.

My mom took her dog Mitzie there the other day and she called me in near tears!! She asked specifically to leave her eye lashes alone and the groomer cut them off. They shaved her face and they were asked not to. The manager told my mom that she had a few spots of matting. I am a groomer and I JUST saw my Moms dog and she was NOT matted but had a few knots. The biggest issue was the complete shave of her face and cutting her eyelashes off and the total lack of listening. If She needed her body and face needed to be shaved then a phone call should have been made or it should have been made clear BEFORE my mom left from dropping her dog off. My Mom and her dogs will NOT be returning.

Went in to get a harness for our new puppy and the staff was not very helpful and not responsive. We were wandering the store trying to find certain items for our dog and several staff members passed us but never offered help, never wanted to see our puppy. When going to checkout the employees looked like they would rather be anywhere else but there. Didn’t seem the least bit interested or eager to help. Normally I expect friendliness and eagerness to help us get settled with our new puppy. We received none of that. I know it doesn’t do much but we won’t be returning here. Going somewhere else with better, friendlier service.

Petsmart Chesterfield Missouri-----Dead fish in nearly every tank. Algae lining the tanks. Just grotesque. This place isnt cared for at all. I thought Manchester was bad. This place tops it. Shameful!Update: went back 2 weeks later and its worse if that is possible. Looked like about a 55 gallon tank with less than a half inch of water WITH FISH IN IT!!!! Abusing these fish horribly. Place smelled like something died in it..probably all of the fish they are killing with neglect The board of health needs to step in. See photos.

Found this cute hat for my dog. Not sure he loves it as much as I do. Prices online at petsmart are outrageously cheaper than petco.

Contacted this store to inquire about their availability of a particular fish. The automated line said that the fish department was “not a valid choice.” I pressed “0” for an operator. I asked about availability and was told by a male that “WE DON’T do inventory checks!” I asked to be transferred to the fish department. He huffed as if I was bothering him and placed me on a 10 minute hold. After hanging up, I called back. A very nice lady who answered visited the fish department and told me how many fish that I needed, were in stock. She apologized immensely. We were going to visit to buy them, but were ultimately turned off after our initial call. I won’t be shopping there and Petsmart should seriously consider their choice of front facing customer service reps. If he is answering the phone, I’m sure he has turned off many customers with his attitude.

Took my 105 lb Great Pyrenees in for a bath yesterday at the store in Chesterfield Valley, Mo. Heather, his groomer, did an outstanding job. She put in hours and a lot of effort bathing and brushing him. She worked past closing time to finish. Took home a brand new sweet smelling, fluffy white dog. Kudos to Heather.

The person in charge of fish gave my all the wrong information and told me the wrong types of fish i can group together and many died in the first week when i did everything else correctly. dead fish everywhere, no space for them, and extremely terrible water conditions

I am a Petsmart fan, they have the products I use and have good prices.

They keep the items i need in stock and they give me coupons and rewards. They are always friendly too!

We were in your store on Saturday, May 22nd. We had a 25% off entire purchase coupon from Pets Supplies Plus. My bill came to $121.00 and I was told that your store will NOT honor my competitors coupon. I told the cashier, that Ive used competitors coupons in the store previously. He then checked with a supervisor (woman) and she said it depends on the coupon. We chose not to buy the items and went to Pets Supplies Plus. To say the least, youve lost our business over poor customer service!!!

Best place to get all of you new puppy or older dog supplies!! We brought our new puppy with us and she had such a fun time! They had everything we needed and a coupon book that helped us save a ton of money.

Although Im not a fan of the small animals in cages they are always well taken care of with clean bedding, food and fresh water. Offer great deals on pet foods and the staff is incredibly friendly.

My rescue furbaby Kai had his first grooming today. I was so fortunate to get Taylor as his groomer. I didn’t know how he was supposed to be cut and asked for her expertise. Oh my goodness she FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. My baby smells and looks like a totally different dog. Taylor is just so sweet and caring, in fact I thought all the ladies were amazing. I saw the start of a beautiful friendship between Taylor Kai and I start today and I’m completely confident in everything she did for my special buddy.

I came in to purchase a second male chinchilla. I had recently purchased one 2 1/2 weeks prior and knew we would want another. We had the first one checked at the Vet and he got a clean bill of health. I planned to wait until January, but why prolong the inevitable.

If you are interested in fish friends but have no idea where to start, walk in and ask for V! She is the bomb, and extremely knowledgeable, and so very kind. Being that Im a beginner fish mommy, V stayed patient and thorough with every single question I had. She went over so much info with me and because of her I was able to make educated decisions with confidence. She truly is an asset to the company and deserves recognition for going above and beyond.

Whoever is running the fish department at this store needs to be fired. Its downright criminal. Almost all the bettas are gasping in water that is so cloudy that many have already died. Nearly every tank is cloudy with dead fish rotting unnoticed in their tanks. Its a shame.

Love this petsmart. Always where I go if I need anything. Even have a plan with banfield... Ive gotten both my kitties from there and theyre the best kitties Ive ever had. I always go to look at more when Im there. Service is always usually an A+!

Very disappointed in the Wentzville location as theGroomer I had been using abruptly left and I was not notified. I did not want anyone else cutting my dog but was called and they wanted to reschedule with someone else but would not tell me why till I absolutely insisted to know why. Needless to say I found somewhere else to use. They also had lost my dogs collar with all of her tags once and I was on my out of town early the next morning. I had to delay my trip several hours and go out of my way to go pick up new tags since I couldn’t do this at another store. They would only replace them at the Wentzville store.

Curbside pickup of my order I placed online when I got home I realized I was given a used collar.

I picked up some great gifts for my animal babies. They have a good variety of items that you cannot find at the supermarkets or deparment stores. The prices can be a bit high, but their coupons help.

Always a good time here, my niece had her first time in a store in awhil3 and I let her get the cats and our dog a toy.

I have never had a problem finding an employee to help me with questions or concerns about a product. Petsmarts brand of food is actually rated 4 stars out of 5 and my pets love it.

Great pet supply store, but for standard items, like cat and dog food and cat litter Walmart and Sams Club still are regularly cheaper. I cime here for specialty pet items. Staff is always friendly.

The employees here are always very friendly and helpful. Bought a puppy training package for my son and his puppy. They were great about the information and following up with him after the holidays to schedule his trading time.

Super disappointed how long and how many calls it took to have a trainer call me back--2+weeks of leaving messages. Finally was able to set up a time to meet to do an eval of my pup to determine placement in a class. When I arrived with my pup at said time, trainer was not there. She had called in. Spoke with mgr and he offered no apology basically just looked at me with a blank uncomfortable stare. Store is fine for goods. I would avoid training due to plain lack of interest in customer service.

Amazing staff who helped to find everything we needed. One staffer carried the kennel we were considering out to the car to make sure it fit, then took a photo of the bar code once it was loaded so that we didnt need to unload and reload it. They even found us coupons that saved us significant dollars off.

I have had good luck with the fish I buy there but you have to watch that you dont get one from a tank with sick fish or you will be sorry & bring it home and infected your tank! It has happened to me before!!!!!

I expect so much better from a company that prides itself on animal care. There are turtles in each of these tanks. Didn’t know, yeah that is because they are so disgusting that you cannot see them. The pet care tech walked past them over and over and the CEL didn’t seem to care much either.

I got my Yorkie a hair cut and it turned out nice.

I was at this PetSmart today and all of the fish tanks were cloudy, filthy, & majority of the tanks had dead fish in them. There were some floating and some that were just bones sitting on the bottom. Probably not a good look for the young kids and their parents that come in there to see the “fishies”.

Hate to put one star for the entire store but the grooming department here is the worst!!! Every single time I come they are so rude and unhelpful. Its a convenient location for me is why I tried this many times, but honestly its worth it to drive somewhere else. There is a reason its so empty all the time.

This is the PetSmart where I got my bearded dragon from they are so helpful that will help you with anything that you need and they have great stuff so if you decide to get it animal from PetSmart and expecially from Chesterfield please go there there is so wonderful and and guess what I am 11 and I still go to Chesterfield PetSmart to get my bearded dragon and my dog the supplies that they need so if you guys are just looking up PetSmart stores please go to the one in Chesterfield that will help you a lot more and I will give you the good information that you need

Do Not use the vets here. Complete trash have taken my dog 5 times back for the same problem the “vents” took 4 visits to figure out she had fleas. They don’t seem to be very competent. Would give it a zero star if I could very unprofessional vet team.

There is a huge selection of items for virtally every kind of pet. Along with supplies, toys, and accessories, they also have a large selection of fish, aquatic plants and invertebrates, birds, small rodents, reptiles, and even a cat adoption center through Open Door Animal Sanctuary.

Always has what i need and they have great customer service

Petsmart has great prices. Dog food is great quality, but some fish look sick, and unhealthy. The specific gourami tank I saw had swim bladder disease, and almost all of the fish in their looked unhealthy. It was during that visit when I found absolutely nobody to help me. 4 employees were chatting around 2 cash registers, and when I tried to approach them they looked the other way. I had to end up tapping the employee on the shoulder to get his/hers (will not reveal) attention. So customer service isnt the best.

I took my shih tzu in for a shave down. When I picked him up his body was completely choppy. There were multiple spots that were an inch longer then others. His face was a disaster. Very choppy. Some spots on his muzzle were 1/2 inch and some spots were 2 inches. Also there were random strands that were 3 inches long, and being a shih tzu he has a small muzzle... It looks like they had no idea what they were doing. Also they didnt pluck his ears and only trimmed one ear. They did not clip his nails either which was supposed to be included... Its obvious that they dont care about their clients or how they look. They way my dog looks is unexceptable. No professional groomer would be okay sending a dog out the door that looks those way.
