Called in the previous day for three people as I wanted to treat my family to a spa day.Arrived 10 minutes early and the nail technician treated me as a nuisance. I thought it was weird that there was only once technical given that I had three people booked. When I walked in, I was barely greeted. She then ask my family what color they wanted and they said none at this time. So then she said ok then clear coat. But we requested none at all.None of the seats were prepared and had to wait for her to get the seats ready. She seemed to be annoyed that we were waiting to be seated and told us to go and wait in the lobby area in a very condescending tone.Additionally, the place wasnt very clean (which would have been more forgiving it the customer service was top notch).I am not sure what kind of business model runs on staff being annoyed that people want to pay for a service, but was a waste of my Saturday afternoon. There was no attempt to make us feel welcome at all and would never want to return here.Such a disappointment compared to the excellent service I received at Nail Expo in Ballwin/Manchester.

Every time I come out here to get my nails done, its always some excuse like my money dont spend in there. Never again. Its 2021 and the discrimination is real. So I dont look like you so dont want to do my nails. Thanks Four Seasons Nail for doing a remarkable job and welcoming me with open arms.

Great job on my daughters nails. She usually complains that they dont massage her during her pedicure but they did a long massage and great job on her mani pedi. I highly recommend going here. Very clean and nice people.

Deplorable customer service.Yesterday, (12/24/18) I went in for my scheduled manicure. The owner (who sits directly at the entrance) chose not to acknowledge my presence with a standard greeting; clearly a selective behavior as Ive noticed he greets others with excitement. I carry on to get my service with my usual tech. Approximately 30 minutes after leaving the nail salon I noticed a chip & advised my tech via text with a photo. She chose not to acknowledge.Backtrack to my visit (12/12/18):Jennifer stepped up to save the day and I appreciate it. There was an apparent mix up with my usual tech (she was out & was asked to return in a couple of hours and when I did so I was met with agitation, rudeness and unprofessionalism by the owner).Upon my return (2 hours) my tech was still not there. The owner accused me of storming out without indicating my return. Let me state I am a full grown adult who does not storm out of any place. To be accused of such juvenile was insulting.Anyway, my tech still was not there. At this point Id rearranged my day dependent on the advisement to return. We went back & forth for a few moments (totally unprofessional) with no solutions or apologies being offered. Finally Jennifer stepped in by politely inviting me to her area so she could take care of me.Indeed she did. My nails turned out absolutely beautiful & it only took 30 minutes for her to perfect my powder dip manicure. Her pleasant, professional work kept me from going elsewhere after being a LOYAL Zen Nail client for over 3 years. While being serviced my usual tech walked in; not acknowledging me with a greeting or even an apology.Upon checkout Jennifer apologized for the mix up, offered to schedule my next appointment with my usual tech and extended wishes of a good day.Ill end with this note:Good product does not outweigh bad customer service. A non-problematic, paying individual should be valued & appreciated. ALL CLIENTS SHOULD BE TREATED EQUAL.Owners/managers have a responsibility to treat clients with respect as their behavior will be mimicked by their staff.Poor customer service = a poorly run business. In having options on where I spend my hard earned money. Shame in me for putting up with it this long. I certainly will not patronize this business moving forward.~Christy

I’m from Illinois so it’s kinda out of my way to come here but I enjoy so I’ll be coming back the staff is really kind they make conversation with you so it’s not awkward they know want they’re doing and they do your nails how you want them, they want you to be satisfied before you ever walk out the door I wanted a design but it didn’t work out on my nail type I have a small nail bed so it was difficult the lady who did my design did it twice and after me still not liking it and just doing all my nails a solid color she was still nice and had no problem with it. Most definitely worth the time 5 out of 5 start with no doubt in my mind

Ive been going to Zen Nails & Salon since they opened. I wouldnt go anywhere else. To me they are the only salon that is so high tech with the state of the art instruments and products. They pamper you from the moment you walk in the door without trying to up sell you on services. I love them all!!!!

I have been here before and they did a wonderful job. This last time the lady giving my pedicure told me she was heavily medicated and couldnt keep her eyes open long enough to paint my toes. After she was done i looked at my toes and they werent even painted all the way. I was disappointed but i am willing to give this place another try since my first visit was wonderful.

They perform great however they lack humility and personality. I went in and got a polish change and I was already pushed into a color I didnt really want. I went to the rest room and bumped it a bit. Went back and said Im terribly sorry but I messed it up. I told them it was ok I wanted a new polish change from the one I had before. She proceeded to tell me that she didnt have time for me. I even told her that I would pay her extra prior to her comment and she was very condescending and rude toward me. This isnt the first time that I have gone. I went with a friend and they were also very rude to her as well so I will not be returning to this shop. Good work but not worth it.

I went in to get my nails down, asked for regular polish and while they were removing my previous nail polish they convinced me to get gel since it lasts longer. Believing what they said I got gel since I wanted nail polish that would last longer. The very next day my thumb cracked and now a week later seven of my nips have cracked. I know this should not happen to a 30$ nail job.

A male completed a pedicure for me. His English speaking skills were adequate. However, he failed to remove the cuticles of my big toes and did a sloppy paint job. I had to ask him to correct the polish. I will not be back.

I would give this shop ZERO stars if I could. It is NOT NOT NOT clean and their owner Raymond is EXTREMELY rude. I was recommended by a previous reviwer to make an appointment with the fabulous Raymond as he has done her nails for years but not only did he tell me he did not have time to do my nails because he had other customers after I made a Saturday appointment with him on the Monday previous, but he also gave awful customer service, speaking over me when inquiring as to why there was a disconnect between he and I in getting a simple coffin shaped set of dipping powder nails done, by he or anyone in the shop. I left very very disappointed and downtrodden because I just moved to the area from states away and was looking for something so simple. I went across the street to Soho Nail & Spa and Ms. Jennifer did my nails better than anyone ever has in my whole life! AND she waxed my eyebrows! Those look better than they ever did back home in Texas. So Soho Nail & Spa NOT Zen Nails. It is NOT Zen.

I love zen nails! I work right across the plaza at The Joint and dont get off work till 7pm. Ive seen them in the plaza for months so I decided to check them out. I was pleasantly supprized that I was able to get in as a walk in at 7:05pm. I got a mani and pedi and was done by 8:05pm. They were very friendly, efficient and took awesome care of me. The facility was clean and all the staff acknowledged me during my time there, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I came in wearing tennis shoes, like a dope, but hey its winter, and they helped me dry my toes and bag them up so I didnt destroy them in my shoes before I got home. The dip nails were new for me but everything was explained to me and they turned out beautiful! I would recommend zen nails to my friend and co-workers.

My nail tech mustve been high. Ive never had a worse experience at a nail salon. She had no idea what she was doing. She was mumbling and losing all her equipment (that was right in front of her face). The tech next to her did 3 peoples nails while this disorganized woman worked on me. My nails looked hideous. I didnt have time for them to take it off either because I was late, after sitting with this crazy woman for over an hour. Now I have to figure out how to soak my nails off at home. So disgusted and disappointed by this place.

If youre looking for a salon that pays attention to detail--state-of-the-art manicures and pedicures, highest sanitary conditions, and a caring environment--then Zen Nails is your place. I have gone to this salon for years, and it never lets me down. Raymond does my nails, but everyone is outstanding--Raymond wont hire just anyone because they must meet his high standards. The people at Zen are just like family, and I love their sense of humor. Since Zen is a family-owned business, they truly care about customer service. I always leave the salon with a beautifully mani/pedi and a smile on my face. Also, they know how to keep my nails healthy (no cuticle or fungus problems) and top of the line products. I look forward to my weekly appointments and never think about going anywhere else.

Went in for an eyebrow and lip wax. Might as well have skipped it altogether. The person who did it removed almost none of the hair. At the end, she used her fingers (instead of a cotton ball) to put the oil on my eyebrows. When I asked if she would do it to my lip too to get the wax off, she said I could do it myself as she was walking away to help the next customer. Im angry I had to pay for that when I now need to go get another wax that actually removes hair.

Although my nails look fine...WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. The man I had do my pedi and powder dip nails was the most rude person, Ive ever encountered.. I think he may be the owner.. He yelled at me every two minutes about the most random things.. Wouldnt even let me look at my own nails, said I needed to turn my head and watch the T.V, which was very uncomfortable. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience turned int a very embarrassing experience. Many customers in the store noticed how rude he was being to me and even made comments to the other workers telling them he needs to be nicer.. He kept saying Let me do my job, I dont try to do your job for you. This was because I kept tensing up my hand, I wasnt even commenting on my nails. Pretty hard to relax with someone yelling at you every two minutes.. I was trying to blow it off laughing about it, but truth was I was holding back tears. Cried the whole way home. Hopefully this guy was just having a bad day, but taking it out on paying customers is not a good way to keep business. I felt personally victimized. It was like enduring high school bullying all over again. Will never return here..

I wish I was kidding when I say I sat soaking my feet for 12 minutes while they ignored me. My water got cold twice (if that helps put it into context). When she finally got to trimming my cuticle, the experience turned into a tug of war with a hang nail on my right toe until it ripped off. That part of my toe is still in pain.Once she began filing and buffing, it was like she found some to-go nail kit from a gas station - quality was iffy.I wanted to like this place! So sad
