I have naturally curly hair and while many stylists say they can cut curly hair, thats not always the case. Melanie did an amazing job bringing my curls back to life and cut my hair exactly as I asked. Also, while she offered additional services, she didnt try to hard-sell me.

Cant say enough about this place. I go here about once a month and it is an amazing experience every time. Ive only really dealt with Aubrey and Mark but have gotten nothing but good vibes from everyone else as well. Aubrey is the nicest person and always greets you at the door with a smile and Mark is the best hairstylist you can ask for. Highly recommend and will keep coming here for a long time.

Ive been here twice now and was so happy both times. I left with the exact hair cut I asked for and was really happy with the styling after the cut. I used to put my hair up right after a cut but not anymore. Dana and Mark were both excellent. Highly recommended.

Salon Yorya is a first class hair salon. As a retired art teacher, I am amazed at the creative and artistic talent of Georgene and her other stylists in the expertise of styling hair. Creating hair styles is an art and they are gifted in their designs for their clients. The shampoos are very relaxing including a fabulous head massage. The entire staff is professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very welcoming and I look forward to my appointments and always leave with a big smile!

From the time I approached the door,smiles greeted me under the masks,with a nice hello,and soon my stylist, colorist,Brianne soon greeted me and I was in the chair and my holiday low/highlights were being prepared and done,conversing with me along the way to assure that my needs were meet as this was my first time there. New to area, looking for someone to go to on a regular basis. She (a master stylist- don’t want to use her name) was nice, but damaged my hair. Just wanted my roots touched up w highlights (partial foil to roots only). She decided to pull the color through which defeated the purpose of blending my hair. And in the process, it really dried my hair out. Was hoping it would get better a couple weeks in, but it’s awful! Complete waste of my time and $160. Trying now to find someone new in Chester who listens & knows what they are doing. It’s so bad in fact, I’m thinking of going to Sally Beauty myself to see if someone there can advise on at least calming down the super bright she put in the lower part of my hair without having to cut it all off. My advice- don’t go there unless you personally know someone that goes there & recommends a stylist THEY go to there.

I have only had great results and a great experience with Salon Yorya! Brianna is amazing! I highly recommend coming here. Just be sure to plan your visits. They are always booked. While the prices may be a little higher than some salons, it is not as high as others in the area and the service is friendly and welcoming.

As off today 10/15/19, I had my first visit to this salon, and decided to see Mark and it was all worthwhile first visit. His great and very professional stylist. I would recommend him 100% especially if you are new in town or even been here for awhile. Moving around every few years that you always leave your gstylist behind and try to find a new one. It’s hard to trust a new stylist in general. I have been reviewing the reviews from other customers from this salon, and they have great different stylists. Everyone have their own opinion on what to say about them. But for some reason I have read Mark’s reviews and for that I have a great feeling about him. So I decided to make the appointment for the first time to see him and not really sure what to expect or even wanted to do with my hair. I have mentioned what I wanted done and he understood but yet he did input his styling knowledge what It can be done with my hair. For that he did more than what I expected with my hair and loved it. Love the way he cut it and made more layered so I can get more volume because I have fine hair. I’m glad I finally found a amazingly great stylist which I will be seeing him again in December.

I loved the atmosphere! Each individual that works here is delightful and kind. Mark was my stylist and hair guru for my first appointment. He catered to anything I asked or needed. OK, now lets talk about the artistry. Georgene is a true artist when it comes to coloring, cutting and styling. I have never once been disappointed. I have been going here for over a year now, hands down the BEST salon I have ever been to. We move often so I have been to a lot of salons. My hairstylist is Michelle, she is AMAZING, I have NEVER had a bad haircut, color or style. It always looks AMAZING! They also do the best shampoos with a massage and hot towel. It is quite to SPA experience. The owner does beautiful decorating for every holiday. It truly is a wonderful place and I wish every woman could try it out and feel pampered for a day!

Megan was amazing! I had a TV appearance the next day and my hair looked amazing. She really knew what she was doing and advised me on how to keep it overnight and fix it for the next day. Wonderful!

From the moment that you walk in to Salon Yorya, the staff make you feel welcomed. I have been seeing Blair for a few months now and I can say that I am thrilled that I found her and Salon Yorya. She consults me before she ever does anything with my hair. I love everything that she does to my hair, from cut to color, it has all turned out fabulous! They also give head massages during the shampoo, which is awesome! I love Salon Yorya and will keep coming back.

So glad I’ve moved back to area so I can come here again!! Greeted me right away and offered me a mimosa or coffee. Of course I got the Mimosa! 😃But did enjoy some coffee later too.Dana was my stylist today and she is the one to book with! I seriously have no negative comments to make about her or the Salon. She took her time with me to figure out exactly what I was looking for and the color I prefer. I told her I didn’t like when my highlights stand out too much so she did a glaze at the end that, wow, I am in love with!!When she was done, she asked me what I thought and I loved everything about it, but made a comment that next time I think I’ll go a little shorter. She immediately began cutting away again, to the exact length I love and she even redid all the layers.I highly recommend this salon and I personally wouldn’t go to anyone but Dana!

I couldnt be more pleased with Michelles level of service! Shes consistently on her A+ game, which is a main reason why I continue to see her, even though we now live about an hour away from Chester. I was hesitant to find someone new when I moved to Chester from out of state, though I was thrilled to meet her: she knows my preferences, efficiently able to offer direction, and expertly executes my cuts and colors. Bonus: shes incredibly personable and a joy to know!

For at least 2 years, Ive been going every 12 weeks for a cut and style with Michelle. The shampoo and scalp massage is fabulous, and she cuts my hair exactly the way I want it - Im always extremely happy with it. The salon itself is lovely and changes with the seasons, holidays, etc, and everyone there is friendly - greeting you by name when you come in, and offering a pastry or beverage while you wait. The salon has an upscale appearance, very reasonable prices, and they treat me (who often shows up in jeans and flannel jacket, no makeup) as if I drove up in a limo :)

No better place in Richmond to get beautiful! High quality products, skilled and friendly staff. They believe in relationships and clients for life. My daughter already told me that when she goes to college she will arrange her visits home to when she can get a Yorya appointment.

I have never had an issue with Yorya. It’s honestly the best place for hair. I don’t mind spending a little extra $ as long as my hair is done right and fits my expectations. Salon Yorya has never let me down 💕 I love the products they use.

I have lived in Chester for 5 years now and after several failed attempts have not found a salon that I was comfortable with. A year since my last haircut, it was past time that I try again. I sat down and googled up salons in my area much like you are doing right now. After reading the reviews for Salon Yora I decided to call and make an appointment. Surprisingly, they had a cancellation and could fit me in in 30 min. I ran right over and am so happy that I did. The salon itself is very nice and clean, the bathroom even is beautiful! I saw Leah and will never go anywhere else. She sat me down and asked a lot of questions and actually listened to me then gave me her recommendation. I let her do whatever she wanted to my hair, trusting her to do a good job. Even if she did do a bad cut, the shampoo and scalp massage would have been worth it! But she did not disappoint with my hair at all. It looks and feels amazing! Not only that, but she is so friendly and cheerful that I would go every week for her to shampoo and style my hair just for the experience. If you are looking for a clean friendly, professional salon that will give you the experience of being pampered and cared for, then give these ladies a call!

I am sad that didn’t find this salon sooner. The prices are reasonable and the stylists listen to what you want; no bad surprises here! I’ve left after seeing both Brianna and Dana and both times been so happy with my look. I feel welcome at this salon and am so glad it’s there! Go-You won’t be sorry!

Salon Yorya is the most professional Salon I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The staff and management headed up by its owner Georgene, enjoys a reputation that is far above any in this area. My husband and I have been patrons of Georgenes for over 19 years and cant imagine going to any other salon. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You wont regret it!

Dont go here, they are extremely expensive! I made an appoint for the entire year for the second Tuesday of each month, so it wasnt like they didnt know I was coming. Once I got there, she put the color on my hair and while I waited, she took another customer, which was okay. However after my time was up, she had another lady to wash my hair and made me wait another half hour for her to finish with this other woman which was her FIRST visit! Now they keep sending me emails asking me to come back but there isnt any way I will go back. I will give them one star but if I could choose zero star I would!
