George and Lisa are fantastic! They have very clean procedures, and I have not had a problem since coming to them. They have been my go to for the past four years.

Customer service was horrible. Upon entering the salon I was not acknowledged, I asked the girl who was sitting there if she had been acknowledged she said no. When I asked the owner a question his attitude and candor spoke as if I was bothering him by asking him how long the wait would be. After receiving horrible customer service my $30 manicure begin chipping the very next day. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are desperate for service.

Always have great service every time I come here. The workers are friendly and the place is always clean. And I never really have to wait. Highly recommend!

I wish I could give zero stars. I would not recommend going to this salon. There are plenty of good nail salons in Chesapeake, but unfortunately this is not one of them.I went here for the first time to have my acrylic nails removed and a new full set put on (I had gel polish on my existing acrylics that were done on vacation and wanted a different type for my new full set).Right away, it went down hill. I’ve had acrylics removed professionally plenty of times and she was not doing anything I was familiar with. Just using the handpiece with bur and picking away at them. On more than one occasion she applied too much pressure to the hand piece, digging into my nail bed and causing me to jump in my chair. After several times of this I had to make up an excuse as to why I didn’t want my nails redone anymore. I told her my nails were too “unhealthy” and I wanted to let them “breath” a little before putting on new acrylics, when in reality, I could tell she was completely incompetent and was not going to waste my money for her to mess up my nails.She continued removing my acrylics and when she finished, tried to apply new. I had to again tell her “no thank you, I just wanted the old ones taken of”. She says ok, and proceeds to file my natural nails, which I didn’t ask for, but didn’t stop her. Finally I’m ready to pay, I’ve only glanced at my nails and they are awful. Different lengths, inconsistent shape, but I wasn’t too concerned since at this point I just wanted to get the old acrylics off and get out of there. When I went to check out, the charged me for an actual manicure. Very annoying since this was not what I asked for, nor did I receive anything close to the quality of a manicure but whatever. I paid and left, knowing I would never go back. I got home and went to file my nails into a consistent shape and length, only to realize that all my nails STILL had a thin layer of acrylic left on them. I am just glad I listened to my instincts and got out of there because if they can’t even remove old acrylics, or file natural nails to a consistent shape and length, I don’t even want to know what new acrylics would have looked like! Don’t waste your money here, go literally anywhere else.

This is hands down the best nail salon in the Hampton Roads area. I moved from Dallas and could not find a salon that was clean, reasonably priced, and had friendly staff until coming here. I went to Lux Nail Spa religiously for two and a half years until my move to Williamsburg. I miss it very much. The owners are great, hardworking people who are always welcoming. I have received several pedicures, gel fills, and even waxes and have always been pleased with their work. If youre in VB, THIS IS THE SPOT. Trust me on this.

Hands down my favorite place to go! My grandmother, daughter, and I all go and they are very welcoming and know most customers by name. The salon is beautifully decorated and always super clean! George, Lisa, and Tina all are very good at what they do.

It was ok. I had a pedicure. It was kinda rushed put in 20 minutes. I wont be back.

It you must get your hands and feet done during the pandemic...this is the place. Its extremely clean, sanitized and temperatures are taken at the door. Great staff and customer service!!

I pamper myself and get my nails done biweekly. As a result, I am a very loyal customer and enjoy frequenting the same nail salon/tech. My prior nail tech no longer worked in a salon so I visited this location in hopes to establish a great experience and possibly a new salon to frequently patronize.I visited this location 4 times in the last 2 months always going with a positive outlook. The nail salon is clean and in a good location . However, I have never felt more under appreciated as a customer. I have included (Not all) but a sampling of the mistreatment exhibited while there:The female owner quoting one price but increasing it when it was time to checkout without acknowledgement and when I asked about the price variance, she became irritated and defensiveThe female owner doesn’t normally greet you upon entering the business instead she will ask what are you getting done or (if the other two ladies are with clients) she will tell you to have a seat... it is rude for an owner not to greet those that are supporting her business ...in addition she never volunteers to help ( I have been to other businesses where the owner will begin the process while you wait by helping with the polish removal or at least offer a beverage etc.) when the others are busy instead she is looking at magazines, tv, etc. and has minimal social interaction with the customersOffering bottles of water or tea to select customers which should be a consistent practice for all customersDue to the “female” owner’s pooooor customer service and lack of appreciation for customers who are “choosing” to support the business, I will no longer pay for such poor customer service experiences . There are countless other nail salons ( which I found an amazing one nearby) that are willing to exemplify kindness, consistency in their treatment to all customers, good value for the service rendered and most of all GREAT customer service ! Afterall, CUSTOMER’s are what keep the business afloat!

Hands down the best nail salon I have been to. The salon is very clean and adheres to the Covid regulations with Temperature taking, washing your hands, plexiglass at every station. My nails never peel or chips between fills. George, Lisa & staff are very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend this salon!!

Wonderful place.

As a walk in I was receiving service from Tina. An appointment walked in ( a couple)and the owners were there but had no customers at the moment. The male owner began service on one of the parties and the other party was waiting. The female owner was not doing anything yet the male owner began continually calling Tina to come and do the other party’s pedicure while she had yet to finish my manicure. This continued for the duration of my service. I was so uncomfortable I never returned. Beautiful shop however, don’t say you accept walk-ins if they are treated like this.

I was very impressed with Lux upon my first visit. I wanted to visit one more time before writing a review. This time I dropped in with a friend during our much needed mom pampering day. It was nice to see the same friendly faces ready and welcoming us in for our pedicures. I love how clean and fresh the nail salon feels. I really enjoy not having to stare at a wall of polish colors. Instead, I can take a few of the sample colors that are painted on plastic nail forms with me to the pedicure chair, relax,and pick a color at my leisure. Their prices are great and unlike other places I didnt feel rushed. Im happy to say that I think Ive finally found my new nail place! Thanks Lux Staff!

I really really wanted to give a good review. I came in. Asked for an acrylic set. I picked a color all standard. When I go to pay, it all cost more than I thought.I go back inside for clarification and they say its because I got gel. I never asked for gel. They added the gel themselves without asking me. I thought regular acrylic was standard. He said I have to tell them specifically I dont want gel. He said they applied gel at the end. I thought it was a clear top coat. And then I put my hands under the heat to dry as she painted. Its very manipulative.Then, to add insult to injury, he said that he can remove all of my nails and redo them and I can for 15 minutes under the dryer and he will return to me my $10.It wasnt worth it. I just said okay and left. I was ready to tell everyone I know to go there and get their nails done but after they added gel without me knowing and charging me extra for getting the color on 3/4 of my nail instead of the whole nail, I wont be back and Ill leave this review.Im used to getting color and a clear top coat. If you want gel, you pick out a special gel polish. I didnt do that yet somehow ended up with gel on my nails.I still left a 20% tip. So $63 in total. Im very disappointed in this experience.

I love this place. They offer a free cup of hot tea, which is a plus. All of the techs are friendly and very good. Its also very clean.

I love this place. Very clean and Ive never walked out unhappy. Prices are decent too. Theyre average pricing but you get your moneys worth. I especially recommend either of the guys. Theyre funny and in my personal opinion do the best job.

When we walked into the shop it felt as if you arent welcomed. Being that they were the only nail shop opened in the area, my mom, daughters and I decided to stay. Once we sat at the different stations they decided to greet us. The nail techs did not wash their hands before doing our nails. My nail tech rushed through my nails with a drill, burning my skin and calling it a hang nail when I flinched. My mothers nails looked as if shed done them herself. Me being a skilled nail tech, had to go home to file my basis properly as the nail tech I had didnt bother to clean the acrylic from my skin, around, and under nail. My daughters tech rushed through her nails as well, while getting upset with her, he left Polish and acrylic on the outside of her nails as well. Needless to say, sometimes its best to do it yourself. We will NOT be visiting this place again. Nice furniture and clean floor, but VERY unskilled nail techs.

Hands down the best service. George has been doing my nails for over a decade. Now he owns his own nail salon. Lisa, George and AJ are very well talented and professional in all things nails. George gives the BEST pedicures.

First time visiting this establishment as I was heading to a shoe shop repair on my lunch break. Beautiful place at first sight. Quiet, bright, refreshing smells. Decor very nice as well. Will post details of pedicure (deluxe) once completed.

Went here with my friend recently and had a great experience overall. The building was clean and equipment was modern. They were friendly and did not rush, and the result was a very well done mani and pedi. Prices are on par with other spas. Please be aware that while they aceept credit/debit cards, they only accept cash tips. This nail spa gets my recommendation.

My 1st visit i had a super nice nail tech but my manicure was not so nice...the gel polish peeled within 3 days and had to go back. Now my skin above the cutical area is peeling back creating the little hanging skin and tenderness until the skin rebuilds.

Very disappointed with the customer service and my nails. came here two days before christmas to get christmas themed acrylics while on vacation here and it took AN HOUR AND A HALF of service to get a full set of acrylics. Not to mention the awful customer service and i had to switch nail techs half way they because lisa got up and told me to wait 5 minutes and she’d be back, meanwhile george walked up and asked what still needed to be done and he took me to his desk and finished my nails. super irritating and unprofessional. not to mention they did gel nails without asking and still charged me $50 even after it took AN HOUR AND A HALF to get my nails done. Back home i get gel acrylics for $30-$40 in 25 minutes that look better than these. they are clumpy and there is gel clear coat all over my fingers.
