I purchased carpet through Home Depot for a beach rental property on the Outer Banks. Romanoff, a Home Depot subcontractor for carpet installation, sent Santos A. Mendez and Vladimir, and they were absolutely GREAT!!!! They were punctual, thorough, courteous, and very responsive (my kids were in virtual school that day so Santos and Vladimir worked around the kids school schedules leaving 2 rooms free until the end of day). The project took the whole day (6 bedrooms and the Living room/dining room) and they did not stop even once for a break. The carpet looks great and they did a fantastic job from start to finish (prep-to-clean-up). Top notch work! I highly recommend REQUESTING this team if Romanoff is your selected carpet installer!!!

The team was fast, however they damaged my fan during the installation. This was unpleasant, because they didnt even tell me they broke it. Upon calling the company to get them to replace the damaged bits. They wanted to only offer a 50 dollar gift card. I explained this was not fair compensation, I was told I needed to wait for someone else to contact me and they never did.

My experience was great!! Santos and his assistant were on time, professional, neat and accommodating to me moving my pets around. The total installation was beautiful and and I still cant believe only 2 people did that whole job in less than a day. Highly recommended

Romanoff Renovations did exceptional work for us! They expertly & beautifully installed new carpet in 3 big bedrooms and 2 stairways .one stairway had 20 posts supporting the bannister and they carefully wrapped the carpet completely around them--with no extra charge. Its like art work! I highly recommend them & would call on them again for any flooring installation in the future.

Purchased carpeting from Home Depot. Romanoff Renovations was to do the installation. The initial contact from them was very informative. The date selected was fine, the subsequent contacts until installation day were very helpful in clarifying details. On installation day the installers arrived, did a great job installing the carpet, removing the old carpet and leaving the area very clean. All communication took place while I was in northern Virginia and the installation location was in Kitty Hawk, NC. My rental agent in NC inspected the work and was very pleased.

Installed new carpet in living room, 3 closets, and 2 small bedrooms. Was told eta was 10-1. No call ahead to give notice. I had to call their customer service phone number to find out. They got here around 1 and left about 4:30 They had a 2 man crew, which didnt seem like enough people. Installers were friendly enough, it was such a language barrier I felt like he didnt understand me. So, I couldnt really communicate with them very well. Carpet is nice. For the money it cost I wasnt blown away with the work. I used to work in flooring and their customer service could be better. Its like their nice enough but it doesnt make you want to return.

I ordered glass ceramic tiles from Home Depot and Romanoff sent their installer. He was professional, but the quality of his work was poor compared to what I paid for the service. He installed glass tiles against the wall above my counter. The tile near the kitchen hood and near bottom of the cabinets were not flush. I think he felt the mistakes would not be seen because it would be covered up with caulk. I was not happy, and Romanoff had him come back out to correct the job. There was nothing he could do except add more caulk. I would not use Romanoff again and I’m equally disappointed with Home Depot.

Romanoff completed 3 levels of flooring in my home in 1 day! Carpet removal and install as well as LVP on 2 floors. Very impressed with the entire experience and the speed at which the work was done. Only down side was going though Home Depot. For future projects I will deal with these guy directly .

Great experience. Easy to schedule, on time, did an excellent job with our carpet install. Carpet was stretched perfectly and the stairs were done so well the door to the stairs which previously wouldnt close with the old carpet, now closes without an issue. This is impressive because the new carpet and pad are about as twice as thick as the old existing carpet. They also took the time to clean up very well afterwards. Would highly recommend.

Two men who were EARLY, were so kind and polite. They did an amazing job and my carpet was cleaned after. They cleaned up the mess after including sweeping my floors where carpet fibers had gone. I highly recommend them. The company is super professional and the workers are so respectful.

The installers were professional, friendly, skillful, and ask me if something needed to be done different. My carpet look great. I would use this company again and would request the same installer. I love my carpet install. There was no damage done to the baseboards. Cristina eent out her way to get us scheduled in a timely manner for our install. We live out of town and they were able to do everything smoothly without any issues. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service from the very beginning until the job was done. We had a bathroom floor installed, and Vernon from Romanoff Renovations was right on time, the job was completed expertly and the sign off was easy. Once my husband saw the floor, he noticed the transition piece was installed differently than he preferred, and called to see if this could be reinstalled. The service staff was polite and professional and scheduled Vernon to come out again to reinstall the transition piece. He was, once again, right on time - scheduled it first thing before his other appointments - and the bathroom is perfect --- thanks to Romanoff Renovations. Thank you Vernon and Team!

I hired Home Depot to install carpet and wood flooring. Home Depot uses Romanoff Renovations to do the installs. The installers for the carpet violated the states health requirements and did not wear masks. Even though their email stated they would. They also did not have any identification and had a significant language barrier.The carpet installers utilized my garage to cut the carpet, which was fine. At the end, one of the workers used my yard blower to blow the carpet debris onto my driveway. I had to vacuum my driveway for the excessive carpet fibers and nails. I also had two tires that had to have nails removed.I attempted to contact Romanoff, but they were unresponsive. Their main phone number goes right to voicemail. They preferred to communicate via text, which is very unprofessional and out of the ordinary.A week later, Romanoff then sent a wood installer out who proceeded to pull up my carpet. He said the subfloor was “wet” and needed to dry out. There was also some mold on the carpet tack from where the door that I had replaced leaked several years back. The next day, I was told by Home Depot that Romanoff said my floors were damaged and could not have wood floors installed. I had ServePro come out and they indicated there was no damage to my subfloor. They also indicated the level of moisture in the wood was less than 2%. This is well within acceptable levels for wood installation.Home Depot then called and said Romanoff is refusing to install the wood and cancelled my order. Debbie was very unprofessional and abrupt. I informed her several times there was no water damage. With the order canceled, I asked for my money back. They assured me it would be refunded but has not as of yet. This was not a credit card purchase that I could file a dispute on. This was my debit card that I now have to file fraud charges on. They also refused to send me an itemized receipt. That is amazing. I, the customer, am not entitled to an itemized receipt showing the refund.Oddly enough, the store manager (Sean) is never available and Home Depot does not have a customer complaint line. I tried to call the district manager to no avail either. Romanoff called the next day and denied they told Home Depot to cancel the order. So, as you can see, both Home Depot and Romanoff have major issues. I am out several thousand dollars, time, and patience.It is better to utilize a small business who has pride in their work. Outsourcing through these big box stores get your shoddy work and not accountability. It is also a safety issue because Home Depot does not screen who they sound out to your house. Poor management all around.

Romanoff Renovations came on time, finished earlier than expected, answered all of our questions and concerns, and did a wonderful job installing carpet in our baby’s nursery. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier. 😁

Kong and his team were phenomenal. They called 30 minutes prior, showed up 10 minutes early, every team member greeted myself and my fiancé. They came in and started going to town! Very respectful to us, and took maybe 3-4 hours to get it all done. Came out amazinggggg and we love it. He answered all my questions and even gave me some advice and tips on maintaining it. Contact with the company was super easy! They called and texted throughout the whole process from when the appointment was made to the job being completed. We loved our experience and will use them for any other future jobs! HIGHLY recommend them.

I can no longer recommend Romanoff Renovations. We had some good experiences with them previously with carpeting and a hard wood floor installation. Based on that experience we opted to use them for a master bathroom renovation and to replace tile in our kitchen, guest bathroom, and laundry room downstairs. After two months, we have yet to receive an itemized invoice for the work they performed in the master bathroom and that renovation project is yet to complete. Beware being downgraded to punch list status.Romanoff has also recently determined that the craftsmanship of the tile floor installers for the kitchen was so poor that the entire floor must be ripped out and completely reinstalled. Management has been glacially slow to address the problems. Further, my intuition tells me that they speak with forked tongues. Based on these recent experiences, I would seek services elsewhere. Romanoff Renovations is not worthy of trust.Ask Aaron Ribner ([email protected]). Ive included him in conversations and hes yet to respond.

Great Customer service and quality installation VT

Romanoff is one of the greatest flooring installation companys out there. The customer service is top notch.

I was forced to give one star....the site wouldn’t allow me to bypass. Romanoff Renovations sent an unstable subcontractor to my home for a kitchen floor and backsplash job. On day 1, the contractor called to provide his ETA but instead went into a rant about how he needed to pay his bills and run personal errands and how the company didn’t allow him enough time to do those things. Each day he took lengthy breaks which extended the length of the project ( I was unable to cook or use my kitchen so imagine having to eat out for an entire week). Management was aware of his behavior from day one. Instead of replacing the individual, I was immediately offered a gift card for my inconvenience . On one particular day the subcontractor sent a text message at 2:25 pm saying he was taking a break and would return in an hour...he returned after 6pm and took it upon himself to work until 10pm. He informed me that the company “doesn’t have anyone” and he’s being asked to do most of the jobs. When I asked him about damages to the floor boards, he got irate and decided to confront me in MY home (I’m a female who he assumed was home alone). After he was asked to leave, I noticed a piece of tile was missing from my backsplash (which he had previously completed the day before). The Manager had to send another contractor to finish the job. I have yet to hear any follow up from the company since the job has been completed. I’m concerned that this unstable contractor will be sent to someone else’s home.

We had tiles placed on the backsplash in the kitchen. Afterwards, electrical outlet for microwave was not functioning. Worked all the way up until tiles were placed, to the day. We never had a switch go bad in over 10 years in the whole house. We had one damaged when contractor worked on our kitchen exactly where he worked (garbage disposal switch linked to microwave). Blame game insued. Was told it was old age of switch by electrician (he has nothing to gain say otherwise and likely more paperwork). This diagnosis is very unlikely given the circumstances. Had to pay electrician to replace a switc. Happy with back splash. Not happy with the extra $230 for electrical costs. Even more unhappy about how I was treated. PS- I have never left a negative review about a business before and only lefty positive reviews in the past.
