Its a small barber shop but I love going here for myself and my son (hes 3), its relaxed, you can get in and out or get a haircut with conversation and relax. I tried going to several other places that were closer just for a haircut for my sons funeral and they all wanted me to get online and make an appointment even though noone else was in there getting haircuts. If you want a great haircut without all the craziness, this is the place to go! Thank you for the great service and hospitality, thats why we keep coming back!

I went today to get a haircut for my boys. This was my second time using Martha’s barbershop. I forgot that they don’t accept credit cards and did not have a form of payment with me. They were kind enough to cut my boys’ hair and allow me to bring the payment tomorrow. Both ladies who work in the shop are very nice and do an excellent job. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Best barber in town!I had the pleasure of interacting with two of the stylists at Martha’s and I was pleasantly surprised with how personable they were. Most barbers like to make small talk but these two women made great conversation! My haircut was awesome and I left feeling like a new person not only from the haircut, But from the family interactions that I just had. I highly recommend this shop to anyone.

After several bad haircuts at one of the chain stores I decided I needed to try a professional barber. I couldn’t be happier with my haircut—the ladies at Martha’s were friendly, fun, and most importantly, listened to what I wanted and delivered on it with a good looking fade and even cut on top. Prices are reasonable and I didn’t have to wait long when stopping in mid day on a weekday. I think it’s cash only so be prepared. I’ll definitely be back.

NOT a military haircut place. I assumed all barber shops knew how to do fades and it had such high reviews so my husband came here. The lady was very nice (older blonde, long hair, deep voice) and the customer service aspect was good but we had to go to another barber to fade the lines into his haircut. Great for scissor cut but just doesnt know how to fade at all

Ive served a number of years in the military and this is the kind of place i hope to find anytime we have to move to a new location. Super nice ladies who know what theyre doing and do a great job of it, and at a price that you just cant beat. Highly recommended!

Well deserved 5 star! This place rocks, literally, they have classic rock playing from a huge cd collection. An old school type barber shop, they friendly and you can tell they love what they do. They will take their time to ensure your happy with your haircut. Plus its not some chain; its locally owned and operated thats been here 35 years.

I cant recommend Davan and Jackie enough. Friendly service, excellent atmosphere and superb conversationalists. I came in not knowing what type of haircut I wanted and they fixed me up perfectly.

Great little shop. Best customer service in GB. The parking lot is shared with a few other businesses so it always looks like they may be too busy but they are available. Fast, quality barber.

Never had a complaint going here. Mostly caters to an older crowd, and they do a $10 cut for folks over 65.Theres lots of magazines and always a newspaper to browse while youre waiting.Deven has good taste in music, mostly 70s and 80s bands, and regularly plays full albums off of CDs.Not the place if you need something really fancy done to your hair, but if youre looking for a standard male haircut, then youre likely to get something looking fresh.

These lovely ladies give a great cut at a very good price. Been looking for a barber? This is where to go. Period. Just remember to bring your cash or cheque because this is old-school right down to the original 1950s chairs.

My husband and so just got their hair cuts from here. Their hair looks great and the ladies were super sweet!!! Well definitely be coming back!!!

Racist Shop Talk - First and last time going here. Sat down and the *blonde* woman was giving another woman a buzz cut when the customer stated Ive worked with an African Woman for years and every time we go out to eat theres always something wrong with her food....To which the *blonde* replies thats what they do, they eat and dont pay for it....just to make sure I wasnt hearing things I sat there for another minute...and they started talking about Filipinos....got up and left. Unreal.

Just moved to Chesapeake in August 2014 and been looking for a barber shop that does a great job. They listen to what you want and in sure they cut your hair the way you want it. My son is very picky when it comes to who is cutting his hair, and he enjoys Marthas Barber shop.

We moved to Chesapeake from Virginia Beach and until I found Davan at Marthas Barber Shop I was returning to Virginia Beach every 2 weeks to get my hair cut.
