Barbershop 27 is one of the best around the 757. It’s clean, a good atmosphere and the barbers are truly skilled artists. DJ keeps me looking fresh and always keeps his appointments top priority. If you need a cut, you definitely need to stop by or call for an appointment!

Man I went to this shop because my barber was out of town & when I tell you homie pushed my hairline back, he jacked my s*** up! I am too embarrassed to post the picture! I’ll never go back to this place EVER! Don’t waste your money fellas

Jaquan cut my grandsons hair today after we rode around stopping to shops in Berkeley, G.Wash Hwy in Portsmouth, Towne Point Rd and finally to Churchland looking for a great barber. The staff were very welcoming & professional unlike the others and the shop clean & professional also. Ive finally found a barber for my grandson. Jaquan exceeded my expectations. My grandsons razor line was so sharp Im totally satisfied.

This is a very friendly, clean, and relaxed environment. The owner of the barbershop, Kyree, is very professional, knowledgeable and stays up to date with the newest styles/haircuts. The barbershop staff are all very professional and provide warm greetings upon entrance. They offer an appointment scheduling website which helps with time proficiency to decrease long waits. This is a plus as I can select from the available appointment times to fit in with my schedule for the day. My son has been getting his haircut at Barbershop27 since they have opened and I have no complaints!

Took my son here for a quick haircut and I wont be coming back. The barber (JaQuan) didnt seem too experienced and actually left my son with some pretty bad cuts on his forehead. My son has NEVER had scars from getting a cut and for thus reason I wouldnt recommend this establishment.

Ive been going to this barbershop for several years now. The other establishment that I went to was unprofessional and I found many of the other ones in the area just as bad or worse.
