My son has always had the best experience here with Dr. Clay and the rest of the staff. My daughter had her first dental visit there today, and was very hesitant. The staff was very patient with her, and now she is looking forward to coming back next time!

Our son loves going to Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga. They take such great care of him. The staff is incredible. He never dreads his appointments. The dentists are very informative when telling us about what they did and saw. Our daughter will begin going soon as well!

Excellent attention, my daughter was very happy, it was a good experience for her without any trauma. I recommend them one hundred percent. Maya came out as if she had stepped out of an amusement park! Thanks to the doctorate and the entire staff, we have no doubt that we will continue to place her health in her hands.

Today was my daughter’s first appointment and it was a wonderful experience! From the time we walked in to the time we left her and I loved the people and the atmosphere! Everyone was so personal with us. The experience was so easy for my 3 year old to get her ex-rays and her teeth cleaning. Highly recommended from my daughter and myself! First time there and the experience was amazing. The doctors were super patient and knew how to calm down toddler/kids to ensure there visit would be great. My daughter was very comfortable and she done an amazing job.

I was super impressed with Dr. Clay and his staff. He was incredible with my son, who is normally anxious with new things. We were there for a consult and we do not live near by. They were thorough. informative. helpful. and kind. because of how great Dr. Clay was I decided it was worth the drive to come back for my son’s first cleaning and dental work in a couple weeks. highly recommend Dr. Clay. he’s worth the drive!!

The waiting room is nice, but that’s about all I can say about this place. They want payment a week before the service, which is ridiculous! It says a lot about what kind of business they are running if they feel they need you to pay before services are rendered. And the office manager only has two things to say about it “it’s our policy” and “it has worked well for us so far.” I guess they have never heard of people paying the day of service before. They had the wrong number and cancelled my daughters apt bc “they couldn’t secure payment” but I never knew they cancelled either. There are so many pediatric dentistry offices in Chattanooga, i would recommend you pick another one. Looking at the tan Ken Barbie they call the doctor, I can tell they want you to do more work to support his lifestyle and the odds of them having your child’s best interest in mind is very slim.

Always have treated my daughter and me with great respect. Besides some super minor scheduling issues, they have always worked well with my payment options and made me and my child feel welcome.

My sons first dental appointment went so smoothly! This was not the closest dentist to me but I went out of my way to find a place that caters to kids... and they did not disappoint! My other 2 kids are excited for the dentist because of my sons stories... he absolutely loved it! Jessica and Dr. Clay are wonderful!

We had an emergency situation with my daughter’s tongue being split open. They got us in quickly and worked great with my daughter. Quick and efficient and knew right where to send us when we needed oral surgery. I definitely plan to use them for my daughter’s dentist in the future. Staff were friendly, took time to answer my questions, even things I didn’t think to ask!

Best experience at a dentist EVER! Makayla and Dr Clay went above and beyond to make sure my kids were comfortable, felt safe and weren’t scared. They let them see all the instruments before and adapted to however they wanted to do it. My daughter summed it up best when she walked in... WOW! So thankful for a great dentist and great team!

I brought my son in for his first dentist appointment, I was nervous because he is autistic and absolutely hates anything in or near his mouth. Everyone was great with him. He started to freak out over the train because he wanted to watch it. Dr Clay held him and talked to him and watched the train. After my son had no problem laying down to have his teeth looked at. 10/10 would recommend. We will be coming back here anytime we need.

I wish I could recommend them higher than 5 stars, the vicinity is beyond impressive with plenty of toys and activities in the waiting room, and even a train that goes around a track overhead, it was my son’s first visit to the Dentist and he has a sensory processing disorder as well I should mention, naturally I was hesitant about his first appointment. They completely alleviated any feelings of worry from the first moment we went back together, staff is highly professional and kind, he was incredibly comfortable and that means the world to me. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else, thank you.

I LOVED the office. It was PERFECT for my son. Everyone was so kind, gentle, caring. They were incredibly sweet to my 11 month old. They spoke directly to him and made him feel safe and happy. Everything was very clean and easily entertaining to kids. Safety was a huge part of our visit.They each took time to listen and answer all of my concerns.Felt more like a fun outing and less like a dentist visit.

After being a patient for one year (6 appts, 2 kids), we unfortunately are switching over to Pediatric Dentistry in Ooltewah, as Children’s Dentistry already had “three strikes” for us. While we LOVED the environment, and Dr. Clay Goins was wonderful, we had three issues we encountered in the short time there, and needed to switch rather than allow them to repeat.#1 – COST TRANSPERENCY - Clay Goins found 3 cavities on my 5 y/o and his staff relayed the cost of repair would be the dentist fee (largely covered by insurance), as well as an estimated 775 dollars for an anesthesiologist (not covered by insurance). When I reviewed the paperwork, I noticed a cheaper sedation option listed, but not “selected”, and found out I could handle the 3 cavities with 3 separate appts, paying only $52 each time for a “conscious oral sedation”. I was like… ummm... yeah… we are going to do that, and save $600… I was stunned that they didn’t approach us with that as an option from the beginning, but I brushed it off and we scheduled the 3 procedures.#2 – AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS - Due to Covid, the staff really didn’t talk to us the days of her procedures, they came to car to get my daughter and then brought her back to the car after her procedures. They didn’t give us any long-term Care Instructions, written or oral. This led to us being unaware that the cavity silver caps, means she can’t have gummy or sticky textures AT ALL – so of course it fell out a few months later, and we learned our lesson, one they could have educated us on from the beginning. Luckily the replacement of the intact cap was $11, so again I brushed it off.#3 – CANCELLED APPT - final straw – In January, we scheduled exams for July 5th, and I promptly made note in my Google Calendar. They text in March that they will be closed July 5th, and that they will be sending a rescheduled time, and to call if it conflicts. THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO CONFIRM I KNOW ITS CANCELLED, AND THEY FAIL TO SEND THE RESCHEDULED TIME, so I never move the Google Event (I was going to move it when they texted the new day/time). I show up on July 5th (per my Google Event - lol!) and waste my time, as their office is closed, giving me time to re-evaluate why I’m even at an office that disrespects my finances, and now my time. Heading over to Pediatric Dentistry of Ooltewah for Im sure the same awesome environment and a qualified Dentist, just a different office staff.

Love this place!! Ask for Jessica Wilson! She was wonderful with our 2 year old daughter. I highly recommend her. The staff made her feel right at home, and comfortable as soon as she walked in. She was asking to go back for another cleaning before we even got to the car. ❤️

My experience:So I live in Cleveland, and have a pediatric dentist we have gone to up here. With one of my sons, everything goes smooth and I have no problems. With my other son, he’s more apprehensive about doing most things. Unfortunately despite he and his brother having virtually the same diet and hygiene habits, he has had cavity problems when his brother hasn’t. At the dentist up here, when they went to get X-rays, they would try to get him to bite down on that plate thing, and he would have a little bit of a gag reflex. At that moment, they flat out quit trying. They finally recommended we take him to the hospital, have him put full under anesthesia, and taken for x-rays. Then at a later date they would put him back under and fix his teeth. You don’t wanna know the estimate on that bill. No one else in Cleveland would work on a child his age. I came across this place as being a place that specialized in working with kids with conditions like autism, and felt it was worth a try. They were able to get X-rays easily, put together a plan to fix his teeth, and get the sedation surgery done. It’s not cheap, but it isn’t what we were about to pay either. They did a fantastic job working with him. I actually like that they have him go back without me like a big boy, and only bring me in when they are done to follow up on everything. Very kind people, would definitely recommend, especially for anyone with an apprehensive child

The staff is super friendly and super efficient. Both my kids were scared at first but the staff made them super comfortable and excited about next time.

I swear, these people are the Chick Fil A of kids dentistry! You’d never know if ANYONE is having a bad day bc everyone is so happy and welcoming! My son LOVES to visit his “teeth doctor” and never gives me grief when it’s time to go for his visits! So thankful we found a place for him to go!

Dr. Clay and his staff is absolutely amazing. We always have a great experience. I told my husband if I’m ever doubting my parenting We will go see Dr. clay bc he always makes me feel like I’m doing an amazing job and my kids love going to the dentist!!

We absolutely LOVE Childrens Dentistry, my daughter/niece loves the people and the experience is always a pleasant one. Shes 3 and I was so worried about her visiting the dentist but shes always excited to go.

Tons of paintings, trains, video games, movies, etc to keep kids entertained. Dr. Clay was VERY nice and great with the kids. All the staff was very professional, and it was also very quick. We had to wait about 3 minutes before they brought us back. DEFINITELY recommended!

And there is a lot of cool stuff to play with and look at, and they give you toys, and an extra toy if you wear their T-shirt (they gave me that too!) There are video games to play while we wait. I want you to take me sometime early so I can play longer. Why can’t we go when we don’t have an appointment just so we can play in the waiting room? ...There are Disney movies to watch if moms won’t let their kids play with video games. And a tree you can climb into to hideout. The little kids go in there a lot. It’s fun at the dentist. Better than when you were little I bet. Like when you had to walk to school...”Me: “Yeah, yeah. They charged me for a visit where they refused treatment on my daughter. I kept calling to have them remove the $50 something charge since I didnt feel we should have to pay for a visit where they refused treatment (it was a cavity filling on a 4 yr old where they wouldnt let me back to help ease her fear and after literally 3 minutes of trying to get the gas mask on her, rather than ask me back to help calm her, they just said we would have to reschedule her to sedate her... I was not okay sedating my 4 yr old for a simple cavity filling. After some back and forth, emails and phone calls, the dentist let me come back with my daughter on a rescheduled visit for her cavity filling and she did great with me beside her, but for some reason, they thought I should still be responsible to pay $50 for the 5 minutes we were there for the first visit where they refused to complete the scheduled task). I called them several times about removing this charge from my account, even talked to the actual dentist about it, but they did nothing about it. Brushed me off like it wasnt a big deal. Well, it was a big deal to me. Dont get me wrong, the office is decorated very nice and the dental hygienists did a good job interacting with my children, but my particular experience still makes it so that I can not give them 5 stars.

This place is amazing!!!! There’s a very entertaining lounge for kids of all ages. The staff were great, friendly, very patient, and answered all my questions. My daughter loves this place over the dentist we were going to for a year. They have great toys to chose from as well, instead of cheap dinky toys. Can’t suggest this place enough ☺️

The best childrens dentistry Ive been to, thus far!!! The decor is perfect, its a kids dream! The staff members were all so friendly and pleasant. No complaints!!! They made my daughter feel so comfortable and now she wants to go back. I highly recommend this dentistry for your children.

We love Dr. Goins and his staff! Theyre always incredibly patient and caring with my kids (ages 4 & 2). I appreciate how they always listen to my concerns and take time to answer my questions thoroughly. Its a huge bonus that weve never had to wait past our appointment time, of course it probably wouldnt matter if we had to wait because the office is fun and inviting; my kids usually dont want to leave.

Amazing staff! We had our 1st visit today and I couldnt believe how wonderful everyone was.

My children love going to the dentist (I actually had to pick my 4 year old up and carry him out. He didnt want to leave.) They make sure the kids have toys and games to occupy them. The nurses are wonderful, sweet and make sure you and the kids are comfortable with there procedure. The doctors are amazing and really care about the kids teeth. They explain in detail everything they need done, steps to help and what needs done for them to have the best teeth possible. I would most defiantly recommend this dentist to anyone with children.

We love Pediatric Dentistry of Chattanooga! My children are patients at the Fort Oglethorpe office. They are always excited about going to the dentist, the staff makes everyone feel like their favorite patient. I love how patient the hygienists are with children and how much time each of the doctors spend answering my questions. They are NEVER too busy to answer questions, no matter busy they are. I refer everyone with children to PDOC♥️

My kids love this place. The whole entire staff is so nice and welcoming to us and our children. The place is decorated so neatly and fun plus there are tons of stuff for the kids to play with so they dont get bored waiting. My kids actually get excited to go here, they are never nervous about their dentist appointment.

Great office with amazing interior. Ive only had pleasant encounters with the friendly staff. I had no problems getting or changing appointments to when I wanted the new appointment. The wait for the appointment doesnt take long. It may be easy to miss the entrance to the medical complex since there are so many businesses on Gunbarrel Road, but if you are coming from East Brainerd Road and just passed it, you can take Ziegler Road to get back into the medical complex. I never had a problem finding parking. Getting out of the medical complex onto Gunbarrel Road may take some time with all the traffic that uses Gunbarrel.

Absolutely love this office and the staff! My daughter is six and we have been taking her here since her very first checkup. She loves it too! The office environment is fun and relaxing for the children as well. I recommend this office to everyone! Also, we never ever have to wait more than a few minutes!!

Absolutely loved this office!! My daughter had a wonderful experience and was very well behaved. She is only 2 so I was worried she wouldn’t even open her mouth for them but they made her feel so comfortable that she did everything they asked! We love Dr Goins and staff. They are very professional but still kid friendly. My 11 year old started going to Dr Goins when he was 2. I took my daughter at one year.

This was both my boys first visit to the dentist—my 6 year old was calm and cooperative and had a good experience! My 5 year old was not so thrilled to do something new...I could tell it frustrated his hygienist some but we got him on track and Dr Goins was so kind and gentle with them! The office is beautiful, very kid friendly.

Dr. Clay is a kind, competent dentist who cares for the children who come into his office. He takes time to explain things to parents and has really helped me out when we needed a procedure done another dentist would not do. He has an excellent facility and great staff members. I have four kids and recommend him over any other pediatric dentist in this area.

Friendliest staff, extremely clean environment, and multiple toys and cute scenery to keep your child feeling safe and happy. Our daughters first appointment was perfect, she didn’t want to leave! Would reccomend without hesitation. ☺️☺️

An absolutely wonderful place to take your children! My daughter is 14 and this is the first time she has had any dental work, aside from check ups. She was soooo nervous but the staff put her totally at ease,she came out with a smile on her face,well half,lol! She was so happy all her fears were for nothing! Just a terrific staff that puts your child first!
