I cant speak highly enough of the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism of everyone at Southside Dental. So far, in three office visits, Ive consistently been seen promptly at my appointment time, the cost of services has been completely transparent, and the procedures were quick and painless. The other reviews already go into great detail about Southside Dental and I agree with the overwhelming praise. The only thing I havent seen anyone mention is the music. Granted, its a tiny thing, but I have absolutely loved the music playing in the background every time Ive visited. Tom Waits, Velvet Underground, Tame Impala, Beach Fossils, just to name a few. Kudos to whoever controls the playlist!

Choosing a new dentist is a rather stressful event, as I recently discovered when my previous dentist (whom I liked a lot) stopped taking my insurance and I went for way too long without a regular check-upbecause of a pandemic. After a pretty extensive online search, I chose to try Southside based on some online reviews and, admittedly, a completely unsophisticated assessment of their offices based on a brief drive-by. First impressions are important after all. And first experiences are even more important. Fortunately, mine was great. I felt at ease, in very competent hands and appreciated. Essentially, exactly what I was liking for in a new dental team. I like this practice and look forward to returning. And who says that about their dentist?

I’m happy to share that over the past two years I’ve gotten my dental needs taken care of at Southside Dental. Every visit has been a pleasant experience from reception to departure. The staff is calm and considerate, they clearly care about what they’re doing. The office is equipped with good equipment and technology for state of the art service. Amazing experience at Southside Dental! If youre one of those folks who dreads the dentist (and even if youre not), then this is the place for you! The entire staff was friendly, fun and professional, and the facilities were incredibly clean and comfortable. Ashley, my dental hygienist, was BEYOND amazing -- she went to great lengths to get my teeth perfectly clean, dropped a ton of dental knowledge, and never lost her sense of humor in the process. Dr. Patterson was kind with a great bedside manner. While Im not someone who fears the dentist, I admit, I WAS nervous about this trip -- because of COVID, it had been a minute since I saw a dentist and my teeth and gums were really bothering me -- I was afraid of the carnage done to my chompers (and hence, what that would do to my checkbook). But no -- all I needed was a good cleaning, and my mouth is good as new. The appointment went so well that I ended up investing in a teeth whitening kit, which is something that Id wanted to do professionally for a long time, but thought it was out of my price range (at Southside, its only $88!!!). AND I have hope that Dr. Patterson will be able to fix a chipped tooth that Id given up on years ago (another appointment next week for bonding!). All in all, an absolutely wonderful experience. How many people can say that about the dentist?

Best dental office I have ever been to, hands down. Kelley is so gentle. I had so much anxiety about going to the dentist after not going for over a year, and my cleaning was painless. And Christina at the front desk must be a saint because my work situation changed during 2020, and I’ve had to reschedule so many times. Dr. Patterson is great, and he’s right. I should really floss more often.

As a patient with gum recession I was a little anxious going in to a new office after moving from Huntsville.Monica was excellent . As was Dr. Patterson. I feel like I learned some strategies and understanding about my gum recession and Monica was a great teacher in this regard. Also they have some chapstick at the front desk that you get to take home for free after your appointment and this made my experience all the better! No more chapped lips after dentist appointments!
