Southern Teachers is an excellent placement agency, especially for new teachers such as myself. It can be difficult for anyone to find a job in a competitive market, but is made even more difficult when you have certain preferences that can be limiting in your search. Thankfully, Southern Teachers made the job search incredibly simple and presented numerous opportunities. They send your resume/job profile to schools that fit your preferences and some of those schools will then reach out for interviews. I have two years of teaching experience. They sent me a generic response rejecting my application and did not bother to respond back to notify me why they did not accept me. I read reviews elsewhere saying similar comments to my own. I do not appreciate their lack of professionalism.

Southern Teachers helped me with two job searches: one in 2018 and one in 2020, securing me placement in the latter search. I mostly worked with Colin, but I found out that everyone I talked to was familiar with my search. I had VERY narrow parameters in terms of geography (one region in one state), in terms of age group and subject (11th and 12th English), and in terms of school type (private secular, non-military and non-residence for faculty on campus). They were always professional, understanding, and caring, and they checked in with me every two weeks. I have worked with at least two other job placement agencies in the past 3 years, and Southern Teachers is by far the best.
