I took my car through early in the day after cleaning it out and got a very good wash at a fair price for it.Given this great time, I brought my wifes car after cleaning it out. Same day, same crew, ~3 hours later. That wash was disappointingly poor, especially the options. I left with half wiped dull wheels and dull tires (fine where it not charged and paid for specifically), smeared windows, etc.Inconsistency like this is a problem. The gamble is to large. Go somewhere good and fully automated instead, or to a self serve.

Theyre friendly and worked quickly. The outside looked good but the interior cleaning was not satisfactory. The surfaces were not wiped down, crumbs in the cup holder and stick shift, and it seemed like I left with more dirt in the mats than I came with. Youre prompted to tip before you get the wash, so Id make sure you inspect before pulling out.

I got into my car and initially saw that the dash was still dusty which is extra cost that I paid to have serviced. The door jams were still dirty and parts of the car were still not vacuumed. The tire shine on the rear driver side has already dissipated. Just because I can afford to have someone else clean my car doesnt mean I should get sub par service. I did have the guy correct the mistakes made and had my dash and door jams cleaned. I decided not to wait around for the vacuum and left. This place is comparable to White Horse, end of rant. Save your money do it yourself as I will going forward.

Paid extra for tire shine and wheel cleaner but they didnt do it or it was completely ineffective. Tires & wheels were still extremely dirty when I got home.

First Ill highlight the good points. The service was quick for what appeared to be an insanely busy day at this establishment. Everyone appeared to be working hard to try and keep up.However, the result was pretty pathetic for $35. I paid to have the back of my SUV vacuumed and never even saw the rear hatch opened, so Im certain that never happened. Only an extra $3, but still its the principle here. They were so busy that the windows inside were wiped down with damp rags and left streaks everywhere. I would have rather theyd never touched the inside windows. The outside wheels looked fine, but once again using wet towels to dry a vehicle doesnt yield the best results. The windows were covered in streaks/water spots/waxy residue. And to top it off literally and figuratively, there was still an obvious smudge/pile of dirt on the roof when I went to drive away. I wasnt about to argue with anyone at that point because they were in full assembly line mode of operation and I was in the way. So, I cut my losses and left. Too bad because I was recommended to this location by people I trust. Probably just an off day given the huge demand. I delayed writing this review, but looking at those streaks on my windows every day for that much money kinda bugs me!

Exterior wash. Quick, efficient and through. They use a touch less system and then hand dry what didnt get blown off. They did a good job getting the bugs off of my car.

$47 for interior??? Had to return to have my dashboard cleaned, center cupholder lid was not cleaned (cup holder will be cleaned if you pay for detailing!) windows needed repeat x 2 cleaning. Manager was nice, but heck for $47 train people to do a thorough job!

If you’re someone who works an 8-5 job, this isn’t the place to get your car washed. I was happy to see they were open until 8pm...until I found out (after going through the exterior wash) that they don’t clean the inside of your car after 5pm. Weird policy (and exterior of car still had dirt on it). Save your money!

It was an ok car wash. Outside did look very good and tire shine was applied and also looked good. There were two people at the interior cleaning part. This is where it went a little bad. The man that was handling the right side of the vehicle completely didn’t even touch the dash and the left side detailer did, you could see where dust stopped and started half way….lol. It was very obvious and I had to stop and ask for it to get wiped down after they returned my car to me. It also smelled like mildew bad in my car after they cleaned it. I’m not sure if it was an employee or the rags/cleaner they were using but it was very pungent.

Paid $34 for wax and interior cleaning.Carwash itself was good, but dryer doesnt evenly dry cause spotting.They do wipe down wet areas reducing the spots. However, i had to go home and clean it again inside because they only ran the vaccuum. Missed the steering wheel, dashbord, interior windows, molding on doors and exterior of middle console. I could have saved the trip and did it myself.Very disappointed overall.Reply to comment:Interior was never cleaned other than vacuumed as stated above and also stated on other reviews. THE PINPOINT OF THE PROBLEM IS, that nobody cleans the inside of the vehicles. Period! Could have saved the $34 and went to Tiger in Ruckersville or did it myself cause I ended up cleaning the inside after paying the extra cash to have it done. This was your second chance.

Its all automated but still have assistance outside to help you if needed and on completion of your drive through then a team will towl drive your vehicle. They have multiple options at various prices and it does a nice job

I got unlimited washing but its still asking me to pay more. Cant even get any help coz no ones there on the booth. Called them on their number but as expected no answer at all.

Car Wash was fine but the Hand Drying has a much less approval rating--they missed the passenger side door area and steps today (2/25/21).

Had to drive to the nearest autozone to buy detailing products because of how nasty the car was inside, they just vacuumed and didnt wipe anything. Didnt think it was going to be this bad and left a $12 tip. Inspect your car before you drive away. Terrible service imo.

It was nice to get the dust knocked off my car. The men were courteous and diligent in their work. I do have to say I was quite disappointed they didnt clean my car seats. That has always been done and a full detail would be more thorough than the one with a drive thru which the consumer does now. I realize COVID has changed things but if the employees wear masks when working on the interior of cars they would be fine since it is airborne.

Came here for the first time since moving to the area - didnt check reviews since its the closest place to my house. It was pretty dead around the time I went. I paid $30 and they didnt even touch my center console or dashboard - it was obvious since the radio was just as dusty as when I went in, and same with the cupholder section. Ill find somewhere else!

I was 4th in line to get my ticket and it took 10 minutes to get my ticket. Everyone was having trouble with the ticket machine. Once I got my ticket there was a delay in getting into the wash. First time I had these type of problems.

Ive always had great experience with clean machine. The only thing I am disappointed in this morning is that all of the sand was not removed off of the carpets in the front and it did not look like the carpets were removed to vacuum underneath of the edges. I will continue to come to clean machine and just chalk it up as an oversight. I respect and believe clean machine is a great organization. Thank you. I also did not notice if they blew out the vents.

We have a monthly membership, so I go to Clean Machine often. I usually do not have a problem. Twice now, I have had an issue. The first one was resolved by them giving me the particular service for free the next time I was there. I had paid for interior services, which are not included in our monthly fee. The dash board was completely forgotten.Today I went there to use the monthly membership, to pay for interior services & to get my mats cleaned.I was told that they could not wash my mats at this time because they had just started giving lunch breaks. 😳 And that I should get that done when they are less busy. Wow! Incredible. The person who told me that, also said that I should ask the person in charge myself as he’s usually nicer to the customers...then to him. Another wow! I ended up still paying to get the vehicle vacuumed & windows cleaned. Which they did a good job with. Even remembered the back window. I checked my receipt when I got home...and I was charged a sanitizing fee, which I was not told of. I only asked for vacuuming & windows/dash. Needless to say, I didn’t have a good experience today. Maybe next time will be better. 🤷‍♀️

Paid $250 for a full detail. The rags must have been dirty because I have dirty smears all over the interior console of the car. Also my phone charger is now missing and after calling three times I can’t get anyone to answer the phone. Definitely not worth what I just paid.

I was shocked that not a single employee social distanced or were wearing any kind of protection. I know bring outside it’s very risky to wear a mask for hours but the people interacting with the public should be protected to protect the customers.When I asked about this I was given obviously not well considered responses.Needless to say that I felt not safe there and will not return despite the excellent car wash i received.

Worst interior car cleaning ever. My interior surfaces are still covered in pollen and dust and the floors got the bare minimum of vacuuming. There’s still grass and crumbs every where and they didn’t even vacuum the back seat cushions. I’ll never go back there.

I purchased the 34.00. And my doors where never touched or my mats. My car was done in about 10 minutes. I had to clean my windows because they where so dirty. I would never go there again. And I am handicapped so having to clean a car I paid to be cleaned was unacceptable. They did not clean my console either.

I called to get my car seats steam cleaned. It is an individual service so I could not find this selection to schedule it online so I called. He told me I must schedule online for a detail service. Never used these people but theyre obviously not too eager for business and very unhelpful/unprofessional over the phone. Terrible customer service.

Only place in town I can get my truck through. They are brushless as I have a ladder rack and normally do an extremely thorogh job. In regards to our current health crisis, they are only attending to exterior of vehicles.

Great place for anything from a cheap car wash to professional detailing. They have taken great care of my car every time, and provided exemplary professional service. The only downfall is that due to the popularity of this car wash is that the wait time is usually extensive. A typical car wash takes about an hour or so, so plan your trip accordingly.

We just moved to the Charlottesville area last fall and went to have my cars cleaned for the fall/winter season. The cleanings on my cars were good but Im beginning to see my headlight covers are fading dramatically!! I mentioned it to them on the last cleaning and they advised it was from the sun. We moved from N.Carolina were there was plenty of sunlight and never had any headlights cover issues. Ive been reading the previous reviews and havent seen any mention of this so Im wondering if anyone else has experienced this with there vehicles? Any response would be gratefully appreciated.

I really appreciate that the business model allows employees to attend to my vehicle and not set arbitrary time limits that cause poor service which I have experienced elsewhere. I also wasnt solicited to pay for anything I didnt want/need. I have enjoyed my experience and the service numerous times at this establishment.

Dont waste your money. I spent $20 for a wash, vacuum and windows. A five year old could have vacuumed better than this. There are still crumbs on leather seats. Go do it yourself for $1 uptown.

I got the unlimited exterior wash deal. Since its a no touch car wash so its safe from scratches, then a wax by hand. There were still old dirt streaks at the bottom half and front of my car on close inspection. So I just went back one more time and still some old bug stain/ deep dirt. I did give in and actually scrubbed down some tough dirt problem areas myself. After that, this car wash is working out as a quick touch up clean. The unlimited car wash deal is a decent price sice you can come by daily. They also do interior cleaning 👍

Dont waste your money getting your car cleaned here. Took my new car to get the road grime washed off. As I stood outside waiting for my car to come through, I noticed that several cars were still dirty, as was mine when it exited the wash. I watched as the towel guys wiping the cars down were dragging the dirt over the paint. Must be great for the finish. When the employee attempting to drive my 5 speed kept stalling it, I told him to get out of my car before he tears up my transmission. I then told him that they were dragging the towels over dirty cars and that they would not be touching my paint with them. I left and took my car home and washed and waxed it myself the right way. Will not be back.I will note that the employees were very polite though.

I have never had a bad experience here. They keep my car looking great and are cheerful and efficient. Its the only place Ill go for a car wash in Charlottesville.

Good car wash. The employees are courteous and refreshments are provided while you wait for the car to be finished. My car was shiny and resisted typical dust and dirt for weeks. The only complaint I have is the location. It is on the corner of a rather busy intersection which makes it difficult to get out of.

I came in for the first class interior service. I was unsure, because $130 seemed like a lot to spend on cleaning my car. I think it was absolutely worth it! My car started out pretty dirty on the inside and looked almost like a brand new car at the end. So happy with the job

Very good wash. Cars are wiped down by hand with attention to detail wiping around door jams, etc. Floor matt cleaner works well. Window cleaning and price could be a little better.

HORRIBLE! When my car was supposedly completed, I pointed out that my rims were not dried off (which had been done in various past visits) and I was told that I did not pay for the tire treatment. I was not asking for any treatment just for them to dry off the water so there were no water spots! Drying the entire car is part of every package, so I thought. I then asked for the Manager who did NOTHING; I was told again... I did not pay for the tire treatment”!When I arrived at my place of work (5 min away) I inspected the car further and noticed dirt everywhere…on both front and back end of car, all along sides, on mirrors and water spots everywhere! The windows - full of streaks.Its so sad that customer service has gotten to such a low level. Maybe if the employees spent less time joking and laughing with each other and focusing on what they are doing, quality would be better??? On second thought, if led by an equally uninterested Manager, probably not.To quote another dissatisfied customer…”if you want to throw money down the drain” this is your place. I know I will never return!

These guys do an amazing job!!! I have dogs and horses so my truck is always FILTHY - dog hair, horse hair, hay, gravel, dirt, gatorade spilled all over the backseats... I had them do an interior detail and holy cow! I couldnt find a dog hair anywhere and the truck was cleaner than when I bought it. Ive been to a few other places in town and was never satisfied - Clean Machine has them all beat! I really wish Id taken a before picture.

Good price and didnt take too long. They did miss a few key spots that I ended up doing myself when I got home. The cup holders werent touched and the doors still had tons of dirt build up on them.

I got the Full Service wash here on a Sunday towards closing time. The gentleman who initially took my car was not helpful and did not explain the services at all. Afterwards, the guys drying my car didnt even tell me when they were done. And to top it all off, when I got home, I realized the entire passenger side of my car was not cleaned. The doors were still covered in dirt, the wheels were completely untouched, and the back end was filthy.If you enjoy literally throwing your money down the drain, come here. If you are a sensible human being, stay far away.

Ok this review is as real as it gets. My husband and I visited this business on 10-16-2017. We entrusted this establishment to wash our vehicle with their “touch less wash system”. Big mistake. The workers who lined my vehicle on the track must have had my wheels to close to the track because my rear driver rim was scratched. As my vehicle was dried the so called manager on duty and workers congregated around the damaged rim and were going to let us drive off. Both my husband and I are retired Army and we definitely PMCS our vehicles daily. I did notice the damage prior to departure and the matter is not resolved. BEWARE!!!! Take pictures of your entire vehicle because they have zero respect for the customers property. The manager and President have no backbone and do not support the customers complaint and allow the employees to provide substandard service. This is unacceptable and a warning not to take your vehicle here because they don’t care.

Though it seems a bit pricey, the Clean Machine Car Wash is the only place I know that consistently does an excellent job of interior and exterior cleaning.

Inside doors were barely cleaned, lit of dust and dog hair left. Not going back.

I started using the power sope selection. But there was no sope, keep trying. After $6.00 I could see sope was not going to appear. I told the attendant. He stated he knew there was no soap but could not adjust the equipment the owners knew that there was no soap but still they were in operation. At that point I insisted they return my money and I left and will never go back there again. As far as I was concerned if management knows the equipment was not functioning properly they should not be taking the money of people trying to wash their car.

They usually do a good job, never had a spotless clean but always very close.

Three times I have visited Clean Machine and each time I have to clean the car afterwards. They dont a fine job on the exterior, but the interior, no matter the package, is never really clean. I ended up vacuuming and wiping down the car again.

Awful job on my car. There was still dirt in my door jams and under my hatch when I got it home. Icing on the cake ... Someone stole $20 out of my car. I will never return, even for the free car wash they offered over the phone as an apology.

They do a great job on the outside, but if you get the inside done, keep an eye on it. They sometimes need to be pushed a bit.
