I started visiting this location during the summer of last year. My first experience was with Miranda but she left for another opportunity and I transitioned to Kim. My son has had his cuts during the same time period with Brittany. I provide all these details because our 3 stylists have performed extremely well, exceeding expectations. You just never know what you will get when trying someone new and if there will be consistency and/or improvement along the way. In my case, Miranda rocked it and then she found something better for her and here I am trying someone else, again. I dont want to give the impression of turnover, this appears to be an isolated scenario. I highlight this because all the stylists really know mens hair and more importantly, the modern styles that guys are trending towards. Skin/bald fades, hard lines, parts, beard blending, etc. The environment is friendly, clean, bright, and welcoming. The hot towel and shampoo is great, do it. As for Kim, she is amazing. I have really settled into our stylist/client relationship, feeling very at home in her chair. She always makes me feel comfortable to tell her if I need her to alter part of my cut, add something, inform her that Im hot in the cape, or need a moment to send a message on my phone, etc. To me these are little things important. Give her a shot if you are looking, she does a great skin fade and hard line. Brittany has provided my son with amazing results. His last cut was one of his best ever and he went with a bald fade. Their client rewards program is a nice added value so take advantage of that as well.

When I moved here last spring I was very relieved to find this place. As a military member, a good haircut every few weeks is a must. Kim does an outstanding job. She is meticulous and detail-oriented with a straight razor fade. Highly recommend this place!

I really enjoyed the haircut today, amazing place. Clean, professional quality, love the experience I had. Not a bad price for everything I received. Was even asked if i wanted my eyebrows done too. I moved to Charlottesville and have been struggling to find the kind of men’s hair salon I want. I have Ben to four places and six stylist. Brittany at Razor’s edge listened, did a great job and I made a return appointment.

On a whim my brother and I went to get our haircut, he said he was going to Razor edge and invited me to tag along, considering we have the same faded undercut haircut, I said sure. However, while he was welcomed, I told I could not get my hair cut there, they do not cut womens hair, and was turned away because of my gender. Again, I would like to state that my brother and I have the same haircut. This is unprofessional and has never happened to me before at any barbershop. I recommend using any other shop in Charlottesville instead of The Razors Edge.

Not one to normally review, but this place deserves it. Needed to get a hair cut on short notice- so found this shop verses my normal. I think they just got me as a new loyal customer. Gotta say, this place is really great. The shop has a great relaxed vibe with really nice modern look and equipment. Staff is really nice and professional. Getting an appointment can be done by phone or website, which is nice. My barber asked a few questions and made quick work of exactly what I wanted. It was a 10 out 10 hair cut. Someone else also was having their hair cut done by another barber, looks like his cut was great as well. They keep record of your preferences, so theyll do it the same everytime without needing to be reminded. Razor Edge also has some free extras with your cut. Theres also an automatic rewards program- Ive never had that before with a barber shop. Id fully recommend this to any guy looking for a new place or just seeing what an updated barber shop feels like.

Kim did a great job on my sons hair cut. She also made it extra awesome by adding green hair color and a spiked style!

Stylist/barber could not understand the way I wanted my hair cut after showing several photos, and could not figure out a way to mitigate my cowlick. The end result basically looked like a mom haircut. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Excellent barber shop that Charlottesville needed! The treatment of clients is professional yet casual. You can expect the same results every time you go. The location is very clean and the extras such as a hair wash and a warm towel really take the experience to a new level.Prices compare to any other barber in town (ie. super cuts, great clips, etc.) but the bar is set much higher at Razors Edge.Do yourself a favor, if you are thinking about trying out Razors Edge, just get yourself in there already! you will not be dissapointed.

I found this place a few months ago and have had 2 very good experiences with them. Both times Ive gone for walk in and received an excellent haircut from Sam. Very happy with their service and their pricing.
