Some techs need more training on pedicures, have had poor pedicures last 2 times had this service.Concerned about COVID precautions-not 100% wearing of face masks by personnel-even with partitions staff need to wear mask all the time. Customers asked to wash hands before service but would be nice to see staff washing their hands as well before nail services.

Good vibes. Reasonable prices. I love the music selection. I felt pretty relaxed. I went on a Sunday and they had r&b music playing. I really liked that. My technician Island Vibes was nice. I would definitely come back here.

I was impressed with the service and professionalism that these young ladies displayed. My tech was quite knowledgeable and thorough. She did an excellent job and though it might have taken a little longer than at other salons, the work was impeccable. If you’re in a hurry don’t go there and get an attitude because these techs are thorough and professional.

I just left this salon about 40 minutes ago. My nail tech was very nice, and happily accommodated all of my requests. I am very picky about my nails, and the quality of work delivered in my appointment today was phenomenal. Periodically throughout my nail services, my tech, Redd, ensured that I liked the work she was doing. They were out of the gel powder I originally went in for, and Redd showed me other options, she even tested different colors out on a napkin so that I could make another selection. All of the ladies in the salon take their time to ensure quality work, and I don’t mind waiting for great service! I am VERY happy with my nails!

Great shop with a great owner and staff! I had a great time at the shop and I received great service. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you for making my mother and I feel right at home. I think that I will be coming back soon for another pedicure! You all are great, keep it up! It feels great to be able to support an up and coming business with so much promise, in a field that is not normally occupied by black women. Finally finally made it over to TOP COAT!! Im super proud of the owner of this establishment (YOUNG•GIFTED•BLACK)Service was good. Quality was great. Reds energy was fun.It took a little longer than normal but it was quality work so it was worth the wait.I love that they have appointments on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.I love the Sunday music selection.Please keep up the good work.

Im so happy I found this salon. A friend recommended them since she knows the owner is all about her clients having the best beauty experience. I got the signature pedicure, and when I tell you all I remember is sitting in the chair! My tech was great, careful but firm, and my legs and feet look and feel AMAZING. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed, I cant wait to go back!

I recently visited Top Coat and I must admit it was one of the better experiences I’ve had in a while. The staff members were very friendly & professional and the prices were reasonable. My services were not rushed and the environment of the nail salon was peaceful, WHICH IS A BIG PLUS!!! The owners were there during my visit, they were also super friendly and approachable. Five stars Top Coat, I will definitely be back!

My technician Island Vibes was amazing. She does amazing work. The only gripe I have is getting a refund on a cancelled appointment. Ive contacted them several times with no luck! Other than that, the service is good.

I have visited Top Coat Nail Bar twice since its opening. Each time I was greeted with a smile and amazing service. The atmosphere is refreshing compared to other experiences I’ve had in the area, on top of that they do amazing work. The owners, manager and nail techs are all super helpful and friendly they really go the extra mile to make sure you feel welcomed and satisfied with your service. I’ll definitely be back!

They estimated a wait of an hour which turned into three hours. The only reason I waited was due to me having to shop in the mall and was able to leave and come back. They said it was due to them being understaffed but there are 8 chairs in this salon and 6 were filled with one person working on feet. When I finally did get a chance to get my nails done the quality of work I received compared to how long I waited was not worth it. You could honestly go somewhere else and receive the same quality if not better in half the time. I observed some of the girls as well and realized how slow they moved which is the real factor contributing to this 2 to 3 hour wait. If you ladies want to move like Mrs Daisy this should be an appointment only salon because you seriously waste people’s time like this. Then when speaking to the owner Ashley, the head technician at the front you could tell this lady has never ran a business before and has no idea what she’s doing. I could tell she was very young and has a long way to go in regards to efficiently running a nail salon and diffusing situations to make things right with her customers when her staff or her are in the wrong is vital. You want to give your money to support black owned business but there’s a reason why they can only get but so far. There work ethic and customer service is not up to par. I personally would never spend a dime with them again, it isnt worth it.

My experience here was less than stellar as soon as I walked in the door. I got to the reception area and the woman there(who I later learned was the manager/owner) [barely]greeted me in an unwelcoming manner. Unlike any other nail studio, there wasn’t any sort of sign-in to keep track of the service queue. Thankfully, my nail tech, Red, was friendlier and professional. I really enjoyed my experience with her and can tell she goes above and beyond to make up for other issues out of her control.I was a walk-in, so I expected to have a little bit of a wait. It seems like most customers of Top Coat come in for acrylic full sets, which take about an hour to do, so anticipate a lengthy wait(even on a Monday.) Even customers who set up appointments to avoid the wait ran into issues because the appointment times were recorded WITHOUT a designated nail tech. Someone came in for their appointment, but all of the nails techs were busy due to lazy scheduling.The nail techs are talented and the atmosphere of the studio is nice. There’s a lot of potential here, and I would hate to see it close down due to the mismanagement. I will not be returning.

I had an appointment, no one showed up for it nor opended the doors for business that day. I waited and waited along with having to reach out on social media for a response. Nothing. I will never try this company nor refer them to friends

Terrible experience here, my fingers and cuticle area are cut, sore, and painful. My nails look TERRIBLE, and I got a new set! Every nail is a different shape, length and thickness. The polish looks like a toddler did it. I will be going to another salon tomorrow to soak off this mess and start over.I was so excited to patronize this young female owned establishment, but they need to do a better job with their techs and quality control. The atmosphere was very unprofessional, and neither of the owners were present during my appointment. When one of owners (a male) stepped in briefly the techs cleaned up their language and conversations. All talking about pricing and charging some people more than others.I hope they make the necessary changes... Time will tell and I wish them the best, but I will not be returning.

Even though I loved their service, I went for gel polish with the intention of it lasting for at least 2 weeks. I got it done on Saturday and 2 days later, the polish is already coming off. Its definitely a disappointment. I liked their pricing, but wish the quality was better.

When I visited top coat nails bar, they took very good care of me. They took time with my nails and made sure that I was satisfied with everything before leaving. They had a wonderful staff which I also appreciate and Im definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Me, my fiance and his daughter came in today for pedicures. I must say, the visit was very pleasant! My technician was a young lady name Bri, she was very sweet. THANKS for the color choice, I LOVE IT! My fiance daughters technician was name Redd, she was AMAZING! Thank you for making our visit comfortable. Lastly, my fiance technician name was Cathey. Girl. You are a MIRACLE worker! We will be back. Need more color choices though.

I went to this salon because the salon that was there nail spa have been doing my nails for months. Well when I realized it wasnt there I decided to stay to because I didnt want to go any where else. I waited 2hr, technicians was very slow. When I did finally got in the chair it took forever for my fill-in. Well I got my nails done on Saturday and on Tuesday one came off and the others or lifting. I will not be going back there wasted my time and money.

This was my first time coming to this nail salon. Now I have been to several other salons in the Charlotte area and hated the whole experience. The work was either rush or the owners/nail techs were rude. NOT HERE! They acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door and asked what services I was looking to get done and told me how long the wait would be. I might’ve waited maybe 45 minutes which was fine because I rather you take your time than to rush through my service. So I was seated and Bre was my nail tech. She did everything I asked and shaped my nails perfectly. She took her time on my nails which is a big thing for me and they look amazing!!! I will definitely be back! I love to support black businesses because I want “us” to thrive!

The nail technicians here take forever! I was very excited to try this new salon, but I ended up being really disappointed. When I arrived there was a lady already sitting in the waiting area. She mentioned to me that she had already been waiting for an hour just for some simple. I went there with my niece to get full sets and they saw her right away after she picked her nail color. I was sat down about 30 minutes later. The tech that did my nail tech finished my nails and the girl who was doing my nieces nails was still doing her nails after mine were done! I will not be going back there, unfortunately.

The service at this shop is simply amazing! The owner and the nail technicians are kind and extremely attentive to their customers . My nails turned out great and I recommend this place to all my girlfriends, I will definitely be making this place my spot ! 💅🏿

So I was so excited to patronize a black owned nail salon☺. Made a 12pm appt, get here 11:50, I have to wait an hour. Didnt get my nails done😞. Very disappointed.
