I love this place. Its the place to go if you are serious about improving your health span. Hard work and immediate results.
Ive had the WORST experience of stopping this gym from drafting my account three months AFTER Ive stopped going, well after my year! Its a very unprofessional practice of continously taking peoples money after theyve stopped patronizing your business. Ive called several times and seems like no one knows how to stop their system from taking my money. So, obviously I had to what I had to do to stop it with my bank.Buyer beware.
Great gym! Had all the equipment you could need 😊
Great facility with quality equipment! Awesome staff!!! 5/5 stars. Would definitely recommend
I was a college athlete who moved to Charlotte and looking for a gym. The atmosphere is great and the people are even better! I go everyday after work. Very professional and the workout I get is like no where else I have trained! I am beyond happy to call Pride Conditioning my forever gym!
Top tier training facility with highly knowledgeable and experienced coaches. Hands down the best gym in the region.
Very cool and welcoming gym. Super easy to get to if you live near the uptown area!
Great Gym! And the environment is even better! Would definitely recommend.
I want to give a big thank you to Doug. I live out of state but saw one of his YouTube videos and emailed him for some help with my rowing technique. He was very kind to send me a detailed analysis of the video I sent and told me where I could make some improvements. He also gave me some ancillary exercises to do to improve my strength and technique.I really appreciate his time and effort to help me out even though there is no way I could join his health club. Thanks Doug!
Great space and great people! Doug and Lindsey and the whole staff are great teachers and coaches! Also, the best price in town. But don’t be fooled - the workouts will kick your butt!
Signed up in July for the Beginner to Beast program. I’ve seen dramatic changes in my strength and condition. Highly recommended to anyone that wants to make a change. Great atmosphere and coaches to keep you motivated.
Ive been going here for over 2 years now. By far in the best shape of my life at 33!Doug and the rest of the coaches are great at pushing you to be your best, but also making sure you have good technique and are staying safe.If you want a gym that works on your strength and endurance Pride is the place for you!Id reccomend signing up for a year membership. You get a discount and also it motivates you to come because well...youve already paid for it!
I’ve been to a good amount of gyms- either dropping in from out of town or checking them out and this gym has one of the most welcoming feelings as a person who can be shy when I don’t know many people. The owner was so genuine in his words and actually wanted to help me with a movement. I’m in love with the place already
I have been a client of Pride Conditioning for more than 8 years. In that time, I have not only gotten stronger physically but also mentally. My body and mind look forward to the time in the gym and if I am traveling or unable to get to Pride, I miss the workout AND my friends (the folks who hold me accountable to keeping active daily!). Taking the first step in joining a gym is the easy part (join Pride Conditioning!). Getting to the gym the first time is the hardest part - but you wont regret it!
Pride gives you a nice mix of strength, mobility and cardio work, which is good for a novice to expert. Classes are a lot of fun and the gym has a great community of people. I highly recommend checking it out if you want to get (or stay) in shape and reduce your day-to-day stress.
Best workout in town. Very challenging. Changes daily so you don’t get bored or complacent. I’ve been working out here for 7 years. Top notch trainers!
This is an amazing facility with excellent programming and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. In my opinion this gym will give you the best chance there is of you reaching your health and fitness goals, thats why I chose to join. We even have some fun every now and again ;)
Awesome gym and people! Been going to Pride for 6-7 years now, and continue to be pushed to bigger and better things! Not only are the trainers great, but its a great team environment where everyone supports and encourages each other. Give it a try!
I do the 6 am workouts, and its definitely a good start to my day. Challenging hour of working out, but I have been going just a few times a week (2-3) for a few months now and I can definitely feel myself getting stronger.
I happen to be a fellow gym owner on the outer side of the county, I have been following Doug & Lindsay for quite sometime and have had many conversations with Doug on training methods as other our gyms focus on the same methods, i can tell you Doug & Lindsay know their craft. Doug is a boss when it come to Kettlebell training! Your in great hands by training at their gym, it doesnt matter if you never been inside of a gym or looking to compete they can help you succeed in your goals! Many gyms in this area of town, but you want get the hands on knowledge they will give you!
This is an amazing facility with with programming designed to build strength and conditioning at all levels. The trainers do a great job scaling workouts to challenge people while ensuring good technique. The community, coaches, and programming will be sure to keep you on track for reaching your health & fitness goals.
It was a great workout, I love the environment most definitely go back again. I look forward to seeing what probably can offer in the future. I will be going to pry conditioning for my gym in the future!!
Been coming to Pride for 6 years. Great programming and coaches. You get exposure to an amazing variety of workouts and components, along with technique feedback across the board. Although everything is scalable, you have to come ready to work hard, because the workouts arent easy -- but theres a real sense of common purpose and togetherness at this gym, and if you embrace the challenge and stick with it, youll quickly find yourself in amazing shape (and probably make some friends along the way).
This isn’t just any gym, it’s a family! Not only do you feel welcomed the coaches make sure you are comfortable and confident in every workout you do. The training and programming is unlike any gym I have been to. I have been to a lot of gyms in Charlotte and Pride is hands down the best in the QC!
Best workout in town! A good variety of cardio and strength and it’s always challenging. Great group of people to workout with as well - been coming for over 6 years and love it!
I can’t say enough about Pride. Doug is an awesome coach. The program works! There isn’t another gym around that can produce results like this! I joined not know much about what I was getting into. Doug worked with me everyday to get me where I wanted to be. Can’t make it to a class? Guess what neither can I but Pride made it work for me. Come by and check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Pride is where you go to get real results!
Been going here for 2 years now. Love the people and coaches. The have great programming, great coaching, and lots of options in which you can aim towards what you are interested in. Highly recommend giving it a shot.
I’ve been going to Pride for close to 5 years. The variety of workouts keeps me engaged and when I want to try something new, there not just options but Doug, Lindsey and the staff are awesome in helping members try the next thing. Since I’ve been going to Pride, I’ve done athletic training, kickboxing and am now power lifting. Earlier this year I decided to challenge myself and enter a powerlifting completion. Everyone on the team was incredibly welcoming (and now are friends) and with the coaching from Lindsey and Doug, I achieved my goal. I’m in better shape at 40, than I was at 30.
Wow, what a great place to have a healing practice! Ive been using the gyms treatment room for my clients for the last several months and have been more than satisfied. Doug and his trainers are great to work with and the facility is top notch.
Ive been going here for over 2 years and wanted a gym that would teach me good technique and Pride does just that. The classes are always different so you do not get bored and the app they use for the workouts is great as it tracks the weight youve done and estimates 1RM for you. This gym has everything you could ask for from kettlebells, rowing, powerlifting, weightlifting, etc.
Doug and Lindsay are dedicated owners who are devoted to helping their clients achieve their goals. Pride is highly recommended to anyone looking for a challenge.
Doug & Lindsay have done an incredible job of creating a positive environment for people of all fitness levels! The class workouts are challenging, and they offer Powerlifting, Kettlebell Sport, & Olympic Lifting programs as well. The atmosphere is always competitive, yet encouraging. Pride Conditioning will bring out the very best in you!
I am a firm believer that programming is what makes a gym. Dougs programming is second to none. He keeps it challenging and diverse while making sure form and technique are on point. You WILL get in great shape if you just show up. Not only will you look like everyone desires, but you will become functionally fit that will translate into all areas of your life. I did crossfit for years, and like most I ended up injured. All of Prides workouts are well thought out and compliment each other, so you arent ruining your joints from repetitive abuse. Ive been with Pride for 5 years now, and I will not go anywhere else. Come check out where brains meets brawns.
Been working out in Charlotte for 10 years. Ive been to at least 30 different gyms from the Y to crossfit and many places in between. I was a certified strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer, and I have a degree in Sports Medicine. It took me a long time to find Pride Conditioning, but Im never leaving. The place is low maintenance. Its not a spa, its a gym. You pull right up to a parking spot, you walk in, throw down your stuff, and you make the magic happen. Its the best of both worlds- motivation of a group, but lots of personal attention. Creative workouts including everything from tractor tires, sledge hammers, gymnastic rings, speed ladders, medicine balls, and of course the basics. You work hard and you go home having accomplished something you never knew you could do. Thats it. Its a no BS atmosphere where you come as you are and you meet cool people because those are the kind of people that appreciate a place like this. The owners are good solid people who love what they do, lead by example, and are extremely knowledgeable. Pride is not a fad. Its functional fitness (Added Bonus: colorful commentary from Doug and pretty killer tunes).
Hands down this is the best gym in Charlotte! I have been a member for over 2 years and have loved every second. Ok maybe that is an exaggeration since there were some tough moments in the beginning. That has nothing to do with the crew over at Pride and more to so with how out of shape I was lol.I found more than a place to workout. I found a second home, a great group of friends, a team, and an awesome family. Everyone here, including the other members, are committed to making you better, fitter, and stronger. The coaches are such a well rounded group with a vast array of knowledge in multiple disciplines. You will not find a better place to train!
Great community and gym. If you want to get strong this is the place.
Amazing coaching, programming, and people who workout there together daily. Hard to complete against a solid foundation like Pride Conditioning.
I have been going to Pride for more than 2 years now. Trust the work outs from the trainers from Pride conditioning and you will see results. Hurry Sign up now!
Ive been at Pride for almost 3 years, and Ive never felt better. This gym is about getting stronger and faster. The coaches are committed to helping you achieve that goal, without neglecting technique. You can workout on your own time or with your own program, join a class, or sign up for customized programming including kettebell sport, powerlifting, olympic lifting, and more. Classes vary daily but always focus on both strength and interval training, and are always challenging.
Been going to this gym for 5+ years. Great program and classes. Results too
Great gym great community great environment. Everything you need
My favorite place to in Charlotte! Doug is an amazing owner and its always a great time at Pride Conditioning.
This place is no BS! No fad workouts, no magical pills, just show up, do the work and youll look and feel great. After 4 months here, I am in the best shape Ive been in since I was a young marine. I love the variety of classes they offer. There is no judgements if your out of shape, just motivation to do what your capable of and pushing you to be your best. What I most like is their dedication to form. Knowing they wont let me screw up my back in a workout is key. When your pushing yourself every day, its key to keep healthy. All in all, I highly recommend this gym. Give it a try no matter where your at in your exercise experience and itll pay off.
I have been a member since moving to Charlotte about 3 years ago. I go 3x-4x a week and have seen consistent improvement in both max lifts, overall strength, ankle and shoulder stability, and endurance.Doug is the man. Not only is he a knowledgeable coach and trainer, he is a caring individual who is a resourceful and experienced point of reference. He has referred me mechanics, tire shops, restaurants, and even dog walkers. Part of his mantra for his gym is daily improvement and he practices what he preaches as he is always looking for the next newest thing to add to the gym, whether that is bringing events to the gym, having PTs come in for seminars, and resident neuromuscular therapist!I am excited for what he has planned in the future yet somehow still nervous about the workout this afternoon. I am scared of ever moving away from Charlotte, as Pride Conditioning has set the bar too high.
I have been coming to Pride off and on for years - consistently for the past year. I kept trying other gyms and classes but there is something that keeps me coming back to Pride! The classes really challenge and push me. I have never taken the same class twice! I have really grown in strength and its also helped me set PRs in my 10ks and Half Marathons in the past year.
Ive tried CrossFit in the past and loved it. When I moved away, I lost quite a bit of ground with my fitness (not that it was all that great to begin with). So I shopped around and found that PRIDE is very similar, with a focus on Athletic Conditioning. For less of the cost, I feel that Im getting a CrossFit experience. I would recommend signing up for a year to get the best price/month. The class options are varied, which makes getting in your workouts easier. Im not an avid athlete by any means, so having options to keep me interested is important. My favorite class is kickboxing, because who doesnt like to punch and kick stuff. With any class, I leave drenched and exhausted (like Ive done something). If youre looking for a light cardio workout in a new, air-conditioned gym, this isnt it. The gym is equipped with ski and row machines, stationary bikes, kettle bells, hand weights, weight bars, jump ropes, boxing gloves and towels. You can also purchase water if you need it. There is a spot here for the most fit of warriors and the beginner (or alumni looking to get back at it). I also see couples and singles of all ages at this gym. Great little gym in the heart of Plaza Midwood behind Harris Teeter. Check it out!
