Amazing diverse workouts, supportive, caring, encouraging staff, friendly people all around, it feels like family. I love the combination classes with body sculpting and I enjoy watching videos while I bike as well as listening to motivating and upbeat playlists. Lyn Addy is amazing, hands down-the best personal trainer, her energy inspires and motivates me to be my best self. Fun studio, cool vibe, great people!
First Wind is not only a top notch facility that provides a well rounded program, but its also just a fun, supportive place to be. I specifically joined the VIP Transformation program to help me get back on track with diet and exercise after putting it off.I never once felt judged, like I didnt belong, or that anyone was wondering why I was there. The group was supportive, the trainers were supportive, and everyone was just a great team. This program is very effective- I lost just over 7 in 12 weeks which I find pretty impressive. I put on muscle and have wonderful definition, I feel confident, healthy and so happy. I cannot recommend this program, or this place enough. Do yourself a favor and check out First Wind and everything it has to offer.
Wow!! I organized and brought 15 teenagers over for a group outing! It was our first experience at First Wind and we were impressed!! Facility was clean, smelled good and organized. The bikes were very cool, especially loved the built-in heart monitors!! Lyn was our coach for the ride and she was motivational and high-energy! Loved it! We will be back!!
I had tried out what I thought was going to be a cycle class but it was so much more then that. The technology they have and the uniqueness they offer you must experience for yourself. I am older and overweight because I dont work out at all anymore and this class was for all. It motivated me to continue this class.
Let me start by saying-I am NOT a gym person but tried this studio in hopes of getting a bit healthier. I really love that they have unique classes and try to create a true community for their members. My favorite classes are the combo classes like cycle to the barre and I my personal favorite is the deep stretch yoga after a long week.
I took a girlfriend from NYC who loves cycling here while she was visiting for the weekend and we both loved it! The technology on the bikes with the visuals is really cool and combined with the circuit training, we had a great workout! Highly recommend!
This place is the bomb! Im not good at working out regularly and I actually hate that Im not there right now. They have the best instructors, the coolest bikes that move with you to create a whole body workout, circuit training (my personal fav), and barre courses with the best instructor in town. Plus cool graffiti art and a super chill/no judgment vibe.
This place is magic. Pure magic. As someone who has been active my whole life, I was looking to do something different this year -- something challenging. I knew I was feeling sluggish and tired all the time, and my eating habits werent too great either (who doesnt love pizza and a cold beer?). I signed up for the 12 Week Transformation Program looking to change those things, and become my best self. I am about to finish my 12 Week Program and the results are phenomenal. Although my goal wasnt to lose weight, I have gained so much more than what the scale says. My arms and legs are stronger and more defined (hello box jumps and power squats) and my lungs are stronger than ever. I can run miles (yes with an s) and I could not even run 1 mile straight when I began in April. The instructors are so personal and really care about your well being and becoming your best self -- exactly what everyone needs in their life. Go give them a try, I promise you wont be disappointed.
I love First Wind! I have been to numerous cycling studios around the country and this has exceeded my expectation. From the kind staff to the small(er) classes you feel like you are part of a team and not a number. I also love the bikes! They move and produce a much better ride. Highly recommend!
First Wind is awesome! The Real Ryder bikes allow you to push yourself as far as youre ready to go. The entire staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. They do a really good job of challenging you while keeping it fun!I had never taken a spin class before First Wind opened up and its safe to say Im hooked! Definitely check them out!
I signed up for a trial membership and I am enjoying everything so far. The classes are offered several times a day, so everything fits into my schedule. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. The classes are challenging, yet accessible for beginners. I highly recommend First Wind for anyone new to cycling.
I hate spin classes but LOVED this place. Each instructor is so motivating and makes the class fun. The half Spin half kickboxing class it my most favorite workout yet!
First Wind has been a life changer for me as I get back into a routine post-baby. They offer a variety of classes that work well into my busy schedule as a working mom (including express lunch time options and a Mommy and Me class). The instructors are absolutely amazing - they motivate to push myself further and I appreciate that they take the time to get to know you personally. I always look forward to my workouts!

Ive tried a couple of different classes at First Wind. The classes are fun and easy to follow. Id been injured and slowly returning but the instructors took note of my concerns and checked in to be sure I wasnt in a position to reinjure myself. I definitely recommend trying out a class!
The best fitness program I have ever taken. Staff is amazing! Classes fly by! Makes working out completely different and so much fun.
Most comfortable atmosphere to exercise, best fitness classes in South End. Way more than just cycling great kick boxing and circuit training as well. The owner is an awesome local business woman

Fantastic gym for the everyday girl who wants to enjoy her workout without worrying about being judged or having to fit in. They offer a wide variety of classes so you never get bored, and always leave feeling amazing...and sweaty :)

This is my go to place for fitness! Not only do they have awesome bikes that move to give you a full body workout, they offer other class types. My favorite is the More Than The Ride class. We spend half the class doing cardio on the bikes and the other half with weights, TRX bands, etc working to tone specific areas of our bodies.Plus the trainers are like family. You could say I was missing in action for a week and a half or so (my father was in the hospital) and Karen (owner/trainer) reached out to me to check on me and make sure everything was ok. What gym or fitness place does that? First Wind does. Thats why I love this place, the trainers and the people Ive made friends with by seeing them all the time in class mean a lot to me.
I started going to First Wind when I was sweating for the wedding. Being a bride on a budget, I was looking for something that was reasonably priced while getting a good, challenging workout and that is what I found at First Wind. I like to have options when it comes to my workouts, simply because I get bored doing the same thing over and over again. Ill be totally honest and say that spin class has never been my favorite choice when it comes to cardio, but I genuinely enjoy the spin classes at FW, and especially love the split classes, which is half spin and half weight training or barre. This is a gym that provides several different options when it comes to classes, and the trainers are phenomenal. I started doing the 12 week program and am almost finished with it. I have always eaten pretty clean, but really needed to jump back on the wagon after the wedding and get my butt in gear when it came to making some lifestyle changes. While the 12 VIP program is a little pricey, the workout aspect of it is completely worth it. It has been a slow process, but I am really starting to tone up, and the results are whats pushing me to keep going on those days that I really just dont feel like working out. The trainers are so supportive and encouraging, and really care about seeing you reach your goals and give you the extra push that you need. If youre looking for a variety of workouts in one gym, I definitely suggest you give FW a try!
