Paid for lift gate service but when it was time to deliver my item, lift gate was not available. Left me scrambling to figure out a solution. Terrible in every way. Avoid this company at all costs!

I had to stay on top of the company to be sure things were done correctly taking up a lot of my time in a very crunched time already. The last thing was what motivated me to negatively review...not being explained that the original Bill of Lading had to be in the NC office before my Texas shipment was released. MORE THAN ONE MONTH to get this shipment, and they wait until... 1)we actually paid EXTRA for a wire to send payment ASAP, 2)Im about to pick up my shipment 3)the next day is the LAST free warehouse day (5 in total are free). Only then do they drop the news that we were supposed to send the physical BOL paper to NC or they can not release the package. Some nerve. A manager at Troy did work to get the warehouse to release the shipment with my bringing the BOL to the warehouse, thankfully. However, I was also originally almost charged $400 for a truck to bring my shipment from LA to Dallas (original port was Houston-long story), but by simply changing the port to Dallas, I was able to NOT pay Troy for the truck. I had to fish this info after much discussion because Troy was happy to order a truck at $400...for no reason. It was a total pain in the neck the whole way through.

Use caution if considering using Troy Container Line Ltd. Ive recently used Troy to ship several simple household items from Spain to Chicago, IL and my experience has been very poor. Troys representative staff has been difficult to work with, largely uncooperative and unwilling to help me solve even the most routine problems. In summary, they have been indifferent to my needs as a consumer who is paying for their services.

They were refusing to assist us with getting our Bill of Loading. And told us to call santa for help. Horrible attitude. Not recommend using their services.
