Great drop and hook plenty of room in and out . They could be a little nicer to the outside carriers but they want you in and gone. No restrooms . No overnight parking.
A good place to work earn money rather on dock or driving trucks
I work here so its not fair for me to give feedback
Best freight company in the business
They does things a little bit different than when I was working at Winston Salem shop, than here in Charlotte, but a descent work place to work.
2 day delivery, been 11 days. Tracking says its been sitting in warehouse and not out for delivery. This company is a joke. Meanwhile my customer cancelled my job because my materials are sitting in a warehouse. I also blame home Depot, and done with them for not following up.
Good place to work at as a Linehaul Driver, they haul freight from terminal to terminal 100% no unloading, and if you are looking to ship anything the YRC Freight will make it happen accept a large yacht, but some of their sister companies probably can do, the benefits such as 100% paid medical and 1 week vacation and 1 year anniversary with the company as well as your Birthday and 5 personal days a year cant be beat, oh and after your first year you get another week paid vacation so you can get pretty spoiled working here thats why most people stay 40 years in fact the union had to put an age limit on how long you can drive here I believe its 73. And yes it does have a seniority base union here.
They got me in and out a day early great place and work environment
Good Teamster job, 100% paid benefits
They lost 2 kayaks I was having shipped to my house. They werent even going to call to let me know. I was waiting for a call to set up a delivery day/time, but when I realized that wasnt happening, I called them and found out they lost my shipment. I just reordered the kayaks... Fingers crossed they actually get to me this time.
If I could give zero stars I would. We have double doors at our business with normally only one older lady working there during the day. The driver left the whole pallet sitting outside and refused to bring it inside. They obviously do not believe in going above and beyond for customer service. I have several other businesses and we do a lot of shipping and receiving. I will not be using them again.
I was disappointed in the freight service company. I had two pallets delivered, one of which was over 4 ft tall, wrapped in plastic from the supplier. I did not see any damage to the plastic wrap and accepted the 2 pallets, however the next day when I unwrapped the equipment it had been damaged from double stacking the pallets, the cardboard box appeared to have a heavy object sat on top, so heavy it made an impression on the cardboard and bending the metal cover on the equipment. It was too late to make a damage report or claim. I pay a considerable amount of money for shipping and expect my pallet to be handled with care not like yesterdays garage.
Best place to work !!!
Once was great, want it to be again...so many questions
Had a one ton pallet delivered 90 min away from YRC on time, and driver did what he could to get it as close to house as possible. Nice guy delivering, and Elaine very helpful on the phone
This is where I work and it has a great work environment for its employees p..
I paid $225 plus extra for residential lift gate service to have an item delivered to my residence. I had a scheduled appointment between 8am-5pm, which required me to take leave from work. You would think a logistical company would be able to provide a delivery window smaller than 9 hours. Since my 900lbs crate was the first on the truck that would make it obvious, to most people, that it would be the last off the truck. But not to YRC....The driver didnt arrive until 8pm at night, three hours after a nine hour delivery window. While the driver, Jeff, was nice and even though I was charged extra for lift gate service for residential delivery; the driver was unable to unload the crate because it was too large.I called customer service and they red flagged my shipment and told me a manager would be calling shortly. 21 hours later I finally received a call back for the high priority red flag issue. The manager, Steve, wasnt even a manager and had no idea why he was asked to call. He explained to me that they do over 8000 deliveries and that mine wasnt a priority. He said he would get back to me when he had more information. Another 24 hours go by with no word from Steve or YRC.In the end, YRC had no solution for delivering my package. I was forced to rent a trailer and pick it up from the distribution center myself. Somehow a logistical company cant find a way to deliver a ~900lbs crate but a homeowner with a truck can find a solution.Very disappointing!
Good job moving that freight. These boys know what there doing and always willing to help...
By far the WORST delivery I’ve dealt with. Got a call from them to schedule a delivery on 7/27 and it never showed up, no call, no reasoning why. When I called the woman told me “oh the freight manager didn’t even load it out of the warehouse onto the truck, I will send an alert that it MUST be delivered tomorrow (6/28)” Once again, never showed up. This time I called 3 times in one day and got transferred to a voicemail. Everyone I spoke to said they would get back to me. No one did though.Today, Monday 7/30, still no sign of the desk. Called corporate this morning and they signed me up for shipping notifications and that it was out for delivery today. It is not 7:17PM, no desk and I have been on hold with customer service for 25 minutes. And the woman just told me AGAIN it was never put onto the truck.Never EVER will I order from this company or any company that uses YRC. Absolutely the worst.
YELLOW FREIGHT is hands down the absolute worst trucking company out there. 8 loads over 4 years, both personal and business, and all 8 loads were delayed. Some even lost for several weeks. My advice. Request another freight line.... This post is about the company and not the drivers.
These boys know what there doing. Thanks Mr. Dock Master
Nothing but a bunch a lazy people who work there.. Pallet sat on dock for 2 days.. Could of drove there faster an picked up.. Dont ever use this company.. Nothing but a rip off.... Same price as UPS frieght an would have package by now...
Easy stop. But dont got to the pilot truck stop down th he street. Very small never any parking.
Great customer service/support! Helped Me whith My load efficiently and gracefully
Great employees and management. Very helpful and courteous. Southern hospitality lives on at YRC Charlotte.
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TO SHIP ANYTHING. TERRIBLE COMPANY. They lost my shipment of 2 pallets of expensive equipment. Literally lost it and then want to only pay me 10 cents a pound for the items, which equals about $300 for over $10,000 in equipment. DO NOT USE THIS SHIPPING COMPANY!! I WILL RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE I KNOW.
I’ve never been lied to by a company like this before. I will try to keep this simple as possible. Set up for a pick up on Wednesday, by Friday no one had shown so our office manager called to ask why, they stated that the shop worker asked to push the pickup till Monday, I am the only worker at the shop and that’s simply not true. I called directly, they stated that the pickup had been listed as a lift gate, and no trucks were available; the paperwork does not state that. After trying to troubleshoot, and calling them out for lying. I was hung up on. My customer is still waiting on his material. Truck still isn’t here. Never again.
Hands down the worst experience had with a freight company. No ownership or attempt to rectify issues caused by the company. Was daily given the shipment will arrive to the terminal this evening for approximately 5+ days. Due date was missed by at least a week and was given the excuse that the economy is doing well, we have more freight than drivers, The rail was delayed not us, You cant really file a dispute since its not lost. Was told 6 days more than twice that and it has not even gotten into the state. Used other companies for the same shipment multiple times and was on time, as advertised. WILL NOT be using YRC again.
Good place to work friendly coworkers and managers .
Good place to pickup and deliver freight
Do not use this company if you want your freight picked up! I am forced to use them twice a year for a third party. Only thing I can count on is that they will not show up the day of scheduled pick up! Last time took 3 days! I just called to find out why my freight was not picked up yesterday & was told They will do their best to get a driver out there this morning. And Mike in dispatch cant explain why it wasnt picked up yesterday! Seems like they could care less! Way to run a business guys! Terrible & unreliable! Save yourself the aggravation & ship with someone else!
After my shipment arrived at their terminal it took 3 weeks before it finally got delivered to us. That was after me trying to call them every single day, getting no answer or return call to my voicemails, calling their corporate office & even them trying to call & saying they couldnt get through to anyone. Somehow I finally reached someone after 2 1/2 weeks of calling & when I told him how hard it was to reach him he said well we call 700 people a day so…. Customer service at this terminal is terrible!
Nice people and quick in and out for paperwork and load
They make changes and don’t inform you
The worst company for commercial deliveries. They are at best robots and at worst Troglodytes!!
Easy pick up
Busy, not organized for 5 star.
People are very helpful and a good place
Number 1 place to work!
