I’ve been seeing Kim for years and have yet to make a review for her... Well better late than never, I guess. But Kim is the best! She is always going to be honest with you about if she can do what you want, and if she can, she will figure out what you want done to your hair (even if it takes a few trips back).Because if you’re a guy like me, you’re picky about who does your haircut. I like a bald fade: skin to a 1 on the sides, and she knows what to do on the top.I am loyal to Kim! I have been for years (almost every two weeks usually), and for as long as I’m in Charlotte, she is my go-to for a fairly priced, quick, and fun haircut (get to know her well enough and she’s hilarious).Highly recommend if you are looking for a good quality cut and don’t care about the fancy extra stuff.

Second time Ive been here. Anthony did my hair this time. Convenient at shopping area at intersection of Woodlawn and South Blvd. Usually have two barbers on. Small and clean at about $16 a shot. Do a good job. Gave me exactly what I asked for but styling wasnt exactly spot on. But I needed a haircut and Im an old guy. There arent too many places that do the regular haircut anymore. I had this place recommended to me by another old fart. He thought it was the acme of haircuts. I say it works for now, will likely keep going there because I havent found anyone closer that does a better job in that price range. So, Id recommend them for trying them out anyway.

Price was good, but I did not like my hair cut at all. Maybe it was just the woman I had who did it, but she did not know how to properly fade the hair and it just looked really bad. Nice people and a good atmosphere but not what I was expecting at a barber shop.

I had come here and had a great experience with Kim. She gave a solid haircut. When I went today, she was busy so I was given to Anthony. This is the worst haircut of my life. When I got home and my wife saw me, she noticed as did I that one side of my head is shaved much much shorter than the other and that the level of fading is at least 2 inches higher on one side of my head than the other. Now I have to go to another barber tomorrow to try to fix this horrible haircut. If you go here, only let Kim cut your hair.

Kim always does a great job with my mop. Dat is very popular and I get to sit in his chair every once in a while. Call ahead in case they are very busy. Cash or the Cash App will work best.

Used to be a great barber shop when Brew was there. Has been going down since and only one good barber left really now in the place from before. Staff just not as good as before either and owner just talks on phone to her friends in Vietnamese versus interacting with customers now. Sad to say after 15 years, will not be going back. should change the name really, brew is gone and so is the barber shop from before

She makes great conversations and is quite funny too 🙂.Apparently, she has been working at this place for more than 20 years and you will find a lot of happy dedicated customers waiting to get a haircut from her. So visit this place if you havent and I am sure you wont be disappointed.Btw, a former employee who was fired recently seems to be trying to use this places name to divert customers to her new shop by stating that this shop has moved to a new location. Its a lie guys and Brewington Barber Shop is at the exact same location it has been for ages. Dont be misguided.

I love this place! I got my first haircut here 40 years ago when it was known as Starmount Barber Shop and Ive been a loyal customer ever since. Kim is awesome and always gives a great cut and conversation.

My barber Dat is first class. I told him once what I like and I can count on getting a consistent haircut every time I visit. Always friendly conversation and the prices are very affordable. You even get a straight razor shave on the back of your neck followed by a warm towel. Highly recommended!

Called in minutes before closing time and arrived right on time. Barber was glad to receive me as final cut of the day. Very friendly, very courteous. Made sure I was getting what I requested non-rushed service even after operating hours.

Over the last two years Ive been searching for a new barber. I have gone everywhere from Mint Hill to Pineville to Mt Holly to Harrisburg and have seen everyone in between. Ive had $15 to $60 cuts. I DO NOT have an easy full head of hair but Kim at Brewington is the best. There are two other barbers Ill keep in mind as backups that come close but Kim is #1. She has a diverse base of customers and knows lots of shapes a styles. Its an understatement to say she understood exactly what I wanted. Only problem is she doesnt charge enough for as good as she is so expect to wait 15-45 min depending on what time and day you go. Bonus: My dad used to take me here in the early and mid 80s so its nice to come back.

Moved to Charlotte from NYC a few months ago and have been trying to find a permanent barbershop. I came here a few times they did a decent enough job. The last time I was there though someone walks in with 3 kids and one of the barbers let’s me know they had an appointment earlier in the day and are now showing up. It was pretty annoying, barbershops shouldn’t really take appointments, if you want to take appointments call yourself a salon then. But whatever, I said it was fine I was already there and I’d just go to the other guy once he was free. Well not long after another customer walks in and he gets into the chair before I do. No one says a word to me or looks at me so I just got up and left. I’m the easiest customer in the world and I get cut every 2 weeks but they just lost a customer.

I was looking for a place to get a legitimate flat top. These folks know what theyre doing. Very happy with the flat top I got. Price was okay.

Ive gone to a few places in Charlotte that appealed to me based on how trendy they looked or felt, but I was usually let down as they often rushed the process or kept to a few basic, albeit trendy, haircut formulas (I wont name names). This shop may seem run-of-the-mill by the look, but the knowledge these barbers have is unmatched. They will make sure that a haircut works for your hair type and look, and adjust as necessary. Dat is my go-to Barber, but Ive had good experiences with other barbers here if he was out on vacation.Quick note, if youre young, dont worry if you walk in and notice an older clientele. This place honestly caters to everyone: age, ethnicity, and hair type.

Asked for long side burns but barber decided differently then wiped me down with a dirty towel. He missed hairs all over my head. Gave me a straight edge on the back with an old blade and then didnt even use alcohol or an aloe after. Never again
