Michael and Patrick are awesome. They do not fix your car unless there is absolutely something wrong with it. They are very reasonably price. Just have weird hours but it works out.

My grandparents have been going to MPG for years and years, so when I moved to Charlotte I had to go. These guys are amazing! They take as much time as is needed to make sure the job is done right, and they do their best to make prices affordable. Ive had them check out my cars undercarriage a couple times, and they replaced my suspension, so my ride was as smooth as ever. I also just had them balance my tires and WOW, not a single bit of shaking in the wheel. I even watched them balance them, and they spent so much time on it until the tires were perfect. I highly recommend this places for your car needs!

Drove my 2008 Land Rover Lr2 to their shop and dropped it off to have them check why I had to jump it to get started. They called me the following morning and said they could not get it started and that they did not work on Land Rovers. It was raining that morning and I asked them would they remove the battery so I could take it to be checked. They said they would see what they could do. I arrived to attend to vehicle they had not removed battery and insisted that something was more seriously wrong with it. They said that schematics for the car would be needed. I asked if they could recommend someone to take it to. They gave no recommendation and said I needed to tow it out. I had tools with me I removed the battery. I took the battery to autozone to have it tested. They said it was so low they would have to charge it up to properly test it. They tested it and said it was a good battery. I asked them if I bought my car back over if they could test the alternator they said yes. I reinstalled my battery the car cranked back up drove for the alternator check it passed. I am driving it everyday with no problems cranking up.

Great mechanics, great people. I wont let anyone else touch my car.

We found these brothers at MPG when we moved to Charlotte about 10 years ago. We are very happy to say they have always been honest, gone the extra to clean the engines in both our cars, told us right up front what was wrong when we take them there and have been extremely affordable. Just go by and see how busy they are on any given day Monday thru Friday and that alone speaks for their work.I called this week but they had already left ( I called late but if I started working at 3:30am I would be gone much earlier than they work ) and Michael called me the very next morning to see what they could do for me. These guys are just great . They remember your name too !!!!! They appreciate my business and will yours too. I APPRECIATE the guys at MPG !!

Very trustworthy, kind, honest people. I took my Honda Accord to the Honda dealership for routine service around 100,000 miles and they told me I needed to replace my entire rack and pinion assembly at a cost of around $1700 because I leaked a little power steering fluid over 9 years of driving the car. I never experienced any issues with my steering and never saw fluids on my driveway so I took it to MPG Import for a second opinion. They could have easily told me to replace the components to try to make money off me but they simply told me the repair was not needed at all. I even told them I was prepared to move forward with the repair if they suggested I do it. They told me to save my money because there was nothing wrong with my car and it was natural to lose the few ounces of fluid over a 9 year period. They topped off my fluids and then proceeded to thoroughly clean all the parts under the hood which showed me the pride they put into their work. They were kind, courteous, attentive and very helpful and I now have a go to mechanic that I can feel good about visiting. I wish I would have found them sooner.

I have (and everyone else in my family) been going to Michael & Patrick for over 25 years. They are the most honest, dependable & affordable mechanics Ive ever known. I trust them completely and wouldnt go anywhere else by choice. Ive had to use other places occasionally because of warranties and always feel like Ive either been cheated or the work was shoddy. That has NEVER happened with MPG. Theyre the best, hands down!

I just got a Volvo cross country 2001- well, I had to get something to drive. Im a single mother of two boys. I love the car BUT it needs a lot of work!!!!!! But MG IMPORTS SAVED ME!!!! Personally, I have not met any nicer people than I have at MG IMPORTS. Especially Michael! He had to do some work on my volvo cross country that needs a lot of work. But he has went over and beyond to help me financially and doing what has to be done now. And you just dont come across people in any industry anymore that you can feel like your best interest was taken to heart. I feel so blessed right now to have met these guys at MG IMPORTS.THANK YOU SO MUCH. I JUST CANT PRAISE YOU ENOUGH!!!!!

Fair pricing, friendly, fast. Ive stopped going to the Independence Rd. Volvo dealership since finding them. MPG showed me things in my car that made it completely clear that the dealership wasnt doing the jobs they were charging me for.

I have been taking my 1990 Volvo 740 to them for over 5 years now, and I can honestly say that these guys are some of the finest mechanics in town. I was shopping around for a place to have my timing belt replaced, and they did the entire thing for hundreds less then the dealer and other mechanics. They are honest about what the problems are (or arent), and are very inexpensive. They wont try to convince you to fix something if it doesnt need fixing. We also take my wifes 2000 Accord there. The world needs more good, honest, hardworking mechanics like Mike and Patrick. I highly recommend them.

I had just moved to Charlotte and needed work done on my Volvo. I was checking out at Trader Joes when the guy checking me out noticed I had a Volvo key. He asked where I took my car to get it fixed. I said I had no idea, but that I needed to find a place. He told me to go to MPG. He said it was cheap, honest, excellent work. We dropped off my car after they had closed that day. My husband called at 7am the next morning, and they had already gotten my car in, found out what was wrong with it and had an estimate for us. The alternator had to be replaced, and the guy helped us out by cutting a deal on the labor for us. This is usually unheard of! Not only that, they also got the part and had it fixed for us by lunchtime the same day! KUDOS TO MPG. Ill NEVER go anywhere else.

I took my Toyota FJ to MPG and had such a great experience! I have encouraged everyone I know to take their car to Patrick at MPG. They have saved me thousands of dollars, the service was outstanding and so fast!! I had been to two Toyota dealerships and they were giving me an estimate and lied to me about having to replace different parts. Patrick did the work at a fraction of the price and took the time to fix the problem instead of having to completely remove and replace a part unnecessarily!! I will never take my cars to another mechanic again.

I cant say enough great things about MPG II. After leaving my Volvo XC90 with the Volvo Service Dept. for three days and coming back with several thousand dollars in repairs that needed to be done... I went to MPG II and cut my bill in half. I dropped off my XC90 at 4pm on a Monday and by 12pm the next day my Volvo was ready to come home. They started working on my car at 2am in the morning and after 10 hours they had already swapped out both my front control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, pcv valve hose, and mounted / balanced two tires. These guys are both honest and hard working... two traits I have difficulty finding in mechanics.They may be known for their Volvo repairs but they work on all types. Ive also brought my Chevy to them for new shocks, headlights, ball joints, etc... and every time they exceed my expectations.

I walk by this place nearly every day. These guys always wave and say hello. I know it sounds silly but too many places nearby, they just glare at you when youre walking by.
