We Used Smoke Alert to install an up to date and up to code dryer vent. It was easy to make an appointment and a quick turnaround. The tech that came out, Matt, did a great job. The materials that were used, especially the flexible duct were higher quality than anything I have seen in hardware store. Upon his arrival, Paul provided an excellent overview of the steps required with the cleaning. He also reviewed our fire extinguisher inventory and provided inventory extinguisher best practices and inventory recommendations. As a result, my wife and I determined we needed to purchase an additional fire extinguisher. Paul checked and tested our smoke alarms. The approach to cleaning our Dryer included determining the Dryer Exhaust Velocity (which was very low). I was most impressed by the service and the team that performed the work. Not only did they check the roof vent and clean the dryer, they also replaced the fire detector batteries and checked the fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher had been recalled and the team informed me who to call. Sure enough it was one that had been recalled. Kidde is sending a replacement free of charge and a box for me to send the defective extinguisher back to them, free of charge. The safety issues are as important as cleaning the dryer vent. We moved into a new home and wanted to do a full chimney inspection and cleaning before using the fireplace. Blake Crocker, our inspector, was extremely thorough and took the time to explain the process along the way. They also performed a complimentary fire safety inspection by checking our smoke alarms, dryer vents, and other possible hazards. He noted that the fire extinguisher we had was not rated for kitchen fires (since it ruins the appliance) so he suggested I put that one upstairs and have a kitchen rated extinguisher (B:C) downstairs. He sold me a B:C extinguisher at the same price as Lowes/Home Depot (I checked) so that I would have one readily available. I never felt pressured to buy any additional services or products. After their visit, I felt much more knowledgeable about my fireplace/chimney and other features around my home.

Very professional and organized company. I got my dryer venting system inspected and serviced by their team. The gentelman who came out to help us did a great job. They give you a report of the airflow of the dryer vent system before and after the cleaning, which I found very helpful. The included fire saftey analysis of the home was also appreciated. They bring with them an inventory of fire saftey products like fire extinguishers, but check prices at your local hardware store before purchasing from them.

I contacted several companies & after diligent review decided to go with Smoke Alert... so glad I did. Provided a competitive quote off the bat. Service performed on 05/17/19. I had a dryer vent cleaning, replaced the exterior guard for the dryer, purchased 3 extinguishers, replaced the dryer hose, & had all the smoke detectors in my home replaced. Chandler came out and was even early which was great. He took the time to explain in detail what was going to be done. I was concerned about his ability to access the dryer vent inside since the room was not that big but the dryer is a bit larger than the average but this was no issue. He was thorough in his explanation of the work to be done. He cleaned out the dryer vent which had an old wasp nest inside and a part of the vent was a bit warped causing some blockage which he was able to fix without issue or additional charge. Everything was cleaned up upon completion of work. Extremely happy with the services performed & cost to do so. Definitely will be using them when the times comes & have shared their information already with a few friends for when they need to have dryer vent cleaning or related services performed as well. We use Smoke Alert for our annual gas fireplace cleaning and to inspect all smoke and CO alarms. They are professional and efficient.

So this is my second time using Smoke Alert and I am still impressed by them. The reason I choose to use them is that they are owned and run by firefighters and who would know best how to guard against fires? Jason came by to clean my dryer vent, which was truly a life saver. My newish dryer stopped getting hot, the element had burnt out. The repairman showed me the enormous pile of dryer lint that had collected below the lint trap due to the venting leading away from the house being clogged. There was a large clump of it that was a little burnt. Thankfully, it did not truly catch fire and burn my house down. This is where Smoke Alert came in and got everything cleaned out. They have flat rate pricing that is very reasonable. In addition to that, Jason also checked my fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors, and my chimney to go on the free fire safety report that they give you. This is a tremendous service for a very low price. You might want to give them a try, they are fantastic!

Tyler was very professional and not pushy. He showed me where the old dryer vent was crushed and said that he could replace it or I could do it later. He measured the airflow before and after duct cleaning, inspected my smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as well as my fire extinguishers. He also came up with a good plan for future maintenance. It was definitely worth the money and I have them scheduled to come back in a year. I had a badly clogged roof dryer vent. They came quickly, fixed it and were very professional. Blake had the parts to correctly replace the dryer vent hose, and Im very pleased with the work. Very happy with the service we got from Blake with Smoke Alert. He was knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and got the job done. Most of all – I like that they provide a complimentary fire inspection of your house!! Knowledge is indeed power - And I feel confident in our fire readiness now!!

Travis came out to the house and was wonderful with my 7 year. We went over a fire safety drill and he was so great giving safety tips all morning! They replaced our expired units, cleaned the chimney and dryer vent. Ill definitely be calling once a year for a check up. I really appreciate having this resource and comfort of being prepared for our family!
