Been going here for many years. Have seen several stylists come and go.Started seeing Toni a little over a year ago. At first, my experience with her was good when it came to cut and color. I have been disappointed with the last two colors I had done by her. I mentioned to her twice about wanting to get all over color to better cover my grays and both times she discouraged me from doing so saying that I wouldnt like the upkeep it requires and suggested I keep getting highlights. She probably did so because highlights cost more. When I first sit in the chair she asks what I want done, after that, she is mute. I would have to ask her questions to get her to even talk. She stays quiet while the stylists around her are having conversations with their clients. For someone who works with the public you would think she would try and have a conversation with her client but that hasnt been the case. I have been a long time customer with Stella Nova but will not be returning. Very disappointed!

Karen cut and styled my hair very professionally, and did so while creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere. My hair looks exactly like the reference photo I brought in. The products she used were high quality, her chair was neat and clean, and the style I was given made me feel beautiful. Absolutely love coming to get my hair done with Ciera. I have very fine and thin hair which can make it difficult to work with. She has been able to take my hair from severely dry and damaged to healthy again while teaching me along the way what my hair needs. This last visit, I made a mix up of my appointment day and she went out of her way to make sure I was still able to get my hair done even if that meant working with another stylist. I left thrilled and happy all the same! Just goes to show how talented ALL their stylists are and how much they care.

I had won a gift certificate from one of the local radio stations so I was treating my daughter who will be starting her second year of law school to a special treat. We walked in and fell in love with it however as we were sitting there my mind quickly changed. I was sitting in a chair in the room to watch her get her hair cut and the hairdresser with short red hair said, I need you to move- I need this chair. she was so rude. She did not ask me to move, she told me. There were other chairs close by she could have used. Once my daughter was done I was asking about possibly getting some low lights. Abigail the hairdresser that did my daughters hair, asked the girl with short red hair what she thought would be a good suggestion. The girl said a nice gloss since it would last 6 to 8 months. I said wow really 6-8 months that is a long time for a treatment I will definitely come back to have it done. I proceeded to the front to make the appointment the receptionist said no it only last 6-8 weeks and I must have heard her incorrectly. I explain no she said it twice. Abigail even stated that she heard her as well. So not only was this other hairdresser really rude, she seemed to be almost making a joke of us. When someone is willing to spend their hard earned money on a nicer salon we expect to be treated with the same respect as someone who is a regular client. I will not be back to that salon again.

Taylor did my haircut today. She did a fantastic job! She is personable and knowledgable. I talked to her about what Id like done to my hair next time as far as color/highlights and she made excellent recommendation/suggestion based on what would look best on me. This makes her an excellent stylist in my book that I booked her for my next session.In addition, the salon is clean, hip and most importantly they adhere to the safety precaution as required due to COVID. My experience at this salon and with Taylor was excellent and I highly recommend them.

So happy with my new stylist, Ciera Wages, at Stella Nova! I moved here from FL 2 weeks before Covid shut everything down. Then out of caution with the virus, I waited until September to begin the search for a new hair stylist. Out of sheer prayer and good fortune I found Stella Nova, West Ashley. I made an appointment with Ciera and received a great hair cut. She talked about what I wanted and really listened. She asked questions throughout the cut to make sure she was giving me what I had asked for. She genuinely wants to work with her clients to get the look they want. I’ve now had a 2nd cut and I continue to be thrilled with the cut, the service and the salon. Stella Nova has made modifications throughout the salon that made me feel safe.

Ive been going for years, to Luanne. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the salon is clean, snd i LOVE Luanne. She gave me my pixie, and I wasnt even scared. She is the best stylist Ive ever been to, and over the years, we have done all the things to my hair, even my short stint with platinum. Would recommend highly to anyone who loves a great cut, color, and a great experience.

Stella Nova Spa, Salon & Beauty Boutique on Sam Rittenburg Boulevard in West Ashley provides great services on a variety of different levels and I have been impressed with what they have been able to accomplish over the years. The staff here is professional and accommodating to make sure that everyone is taken care of the right way. You get a good value here for the level of quality that they offer.

Krista gave me a wonderful cut and style. I hadnt been to a salon in over 2 years because I have thinning hair and didnt feel comfortable in a salon. Krista made me feel at ease and was very sensitiveto my problem. My new style has given my self confidence a boost.

I have had two really great experiences here. The first was to fix some grown out highlights and the second to get my hair highlighted again before my engagement photos. Both visits were done in good time and I ended up with my hair looking lovely. The atmosphere is bright and lively and they offer an assortments of tea and coffee for their guests. There is also a great selection of hair styling products and make-up to peruse. My favorite part was that my stylist was great about working with my wavy/curly hair texture and helping me learn how to enhance it rather than just blowing my hair straight. Love my stylist, Kalina. This is a calm, lovely salon. Different levels of stylists means you can find someone in your budget. They also have really nice makeup including Bare Minerals, fragrance, and other goodies available. The longest I have been kept waiting is five minutes!

I recently had an appointment with Johnna for a cut and balayage color. I dont usually color my hair so I was stepping outside the box. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HAIR! I go to Stella Nova for facials and eyebrows with Kathryn McGraw. Ive been going there for over ten years and love every visit. I always know my eyebrows will be on point. Although I recently moved out of state, I still keep in touch with Kathryn because when I do visit Charleston I want my eyebrows done right!

Casey at the Mt. Pleasant location did wonders with my hair. I always walked out of the salon with bright highlights and a fresh cut that I loved. However, the male who works at the front desk is so incredibly rude. His condescending attitude-- in person and on the phone-- always left me with a negative feeling about the salon. I just called to schedule my next appointment and am so fed up with him that I am deciding to move on-- even if it means leaving my best hair behind. For those of you who dont mind the ugly attitude from reception, then Casey is well worth it.

First let me say I have been a patron of Stella Nova for years. I booked an appointment with a professional hairdresser, as there are tiers of stylist available. My hair was completely botched. A beauty school drop no doubt.I will never step foot in there again. Completely unsatisfied and spreading the word that this salon is misrepresenting their true level stylist

Nolan did an excellent job with my hair! She knew exactly what I was looking for and made it come to life. Plus, it only took 45 minutes and I had no wait time at all. Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful and I couldnt be happier with the service that I received!

Arrived 15 min early for my appt to be told that the eye brow waxer was running 10 minutes late and she had one client ahead of me, that’s fine it happens. The one client ahead of me arrived late and was still taken back before me. I was not seen until 30 minutes after my original appointment time. Seems more like waiting at a doctor’s office than a spa....

I came to Stella Nova for a full body massage. This was my first time at this salon, but I have gotten many massages before. This was BY FAR the worst massage experience I have ever had. Any other salon I have been to, there was a changing room with robes to change into, but here you just change in the room. Not a big deal though, so I just went with it. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. The masseuse changed the fan from high to low to high to low to fit her comfort level, and let me just say, that was a loud fan. There was not a heated blanket on the massage table, so i was FREEZING when she decided she wanted the fan on high. I could also hear talking in the hallway. Instead of a slow, calming massage, she was rushing through it and going so fast that I was not calmed at all, just mad. Then at the end i got to put my clothes back onto my oily body. No shower to rinse off? WHAT?? And then to top it all off, someone had already put away the pitcher of water so there was no water to drink after. Um, isnt water after a massage a must? Oh wait, I almost forgot, she decided to cut the massage 10 minutes short. By the way, this cost me $88 plus tip. PLEASE save yourself the time and money, and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Went in for a full back massage. I wasnt asked when I booked the appointment if I would prefer a male or female. I came into the salon finding out I would be massaged by a man. I didnt really care for that. The gentlemen was clearly sick and had to leave the room to clean his nose because he was continuously sneezing. Every place I went to for a full body massage was head to toe, this was not. When I checked out I wasnt asked how my experience was so I just figured I would post it on here and not return.
