Went in for a trim & came out looking like Edward Scissor hands got a hold of me. But it was some slick hipster raconteur named Rusty that gave me a perfect coiffure that I can be proud of. I think next time Ill go for a Pompadour or a Ducks Back. He does it all. Love Oskars

Best barbershop in Charleston hands down. A full compliment of friendly and able staff that work well with adults and children. Even better they take appointments so no more sitting on a bench for a half hour or more waiting for your turn. Give them a try (especially Cindy) and you will be pleased.

I love everyone at Oskar’s but I’d follow Lea Manley anywhere! Lea has been doing my hair for about 6 years now, cut and color! I bring a picture or just describe what I want with my color, she works her magic and I LOVE it every time! Even though my hair is very thick and long Lea takes her time and always blows it out straight, just because she knows I love it! In these last 6 years I’ve went to one other salon, where I paid double the price, and I had to go get Lea to fix it! In my opinion she is the best colorist there is! I haven’t even gotten to her loving, outgoing personality, she doesn’t meet a stranger, everyone is treated like family, without losing professionalism! On top of all of this she is also an AMAZING Barber and she is amazing with kids too, just ask my 17 and 11 year old! Lea does it all and I’m thankful that I have such an amazingly talented friend! 💜

Cindy gives a great haircut at a reasonable price.

Went with my dad to go get his haircut. He has been going there for quite a while and really enjoys it when he does. Gina is one of several young ladies that do in exceptional job on here cutting and no theyre business and a very personal with their customers. If you need a quick haircut its always nice to know you have a place you can go. I would highly recommend doing that.

Katana is so special. She fixed me up good. She takes her time and she cares. She has done hair for many years. The cuts are great value.

This place is the real deal. Definitely one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. They are very friendly, know how to give a great haircut, and the owner has some crazy stories to pass the time.

They do a great job and have a very loyal customer base. I always look forward to the hot towel and straight razor shave. Very much your old neighborhood barber, complete with gossip about everything from sports /hunting, to who is dating who.

Wonderful people, cut my sons hair for the first time and made him feel like a prince.

Ive been coming to Oskars for years and have never recieved bad service or a bad haircut until recently a new lady from New York hacked my hair and beard. She called herself a master all while messing up my hair to the point it will take time to grow it out before anyone can fix it. I highly recommend anyone else in the shop, but not her. I will be returning, but not in her chair.

Great location and friendly staff

After reading the good reviews, I decided to stop in for a cut yesterday. I was first greeted by an eye roll and cold stare from Lea, who was sitting at the front desk. Katana ended up checking me in and giving me my haircut, and I can say that she was a ray of sunshine in that place. Her skills and friendly demeanor are top notch. While waiting, I saw several more eye rolls from Lea as customers entered. I would recommend avoiding her station if possible, she seems to be in the wrong line of work.

Lea butchered my daughter’s hair. I brought my 4yo in for a cut when our usual spot was closed. It’s uneven and much shorter than I requested and my daughter is sitting in the car crying saying she looks like a boy. When I called to speak to a manager or owner about the situation, they had me speak to the stylist I was unhappy with. Poor customer service. We will not return.

Best barber in Charleston..Having just moved here from Seattle 6 months ago (where is there is no shortage of outstanding barbers and stylists), I had been disappointed with my experiences getting my hair cut in greater Charleston. I tried all the top rated places both in Charleston and Mt Pleasant, and all were average at best. When I had almost given up, I happened upon Oskars and could not be happier with my experience. Everyone there is incredibly friendly, there was no wait, it was very affordable, and most importantly, the stylist who helped me out (Melissa) gave me the best hair cut ever. She was definitely the most meticulous stylist I can remember having.I’m probably the most difficult person to please when getting my haircut, so it says a lot for me to endorse a place so enthusiastically!

My wife found Oskars while looking for somewhere for me to get my beard trimmed and shaped. My barber was Robert, and I couldnt be happier with his service. I have found my new barber and recommend giving Oskars a look.

I went to Katana for a haircut because I loved the way my yoga teachers hair looks. She told me to try Oskars. I was very happy and will be going back! Very friendly but efficient atmosphere.!

Irving is the best barber in Charleston, hands down. Oskars isnt the closest barber shop to me, but its definitely worth the drive for him.

Its a family aymosphere My husband swears by his Barber Lea. I also use her for my blue and blonde highlights. The others are great. Katana the owner weeds out the last two guys which i wouldnt lrt them cut my dogs hair. So all in all just stay away from the younger gentlemen there and i promise you will see what im talking about. #hiddengem

Well its an establishment for sure. Unfortunately even when you call ahead youre told that the stylist you want out of the question_regardless of day or time. None of them do a terrible job, but only two go out of their way, and are prescise with what you ask for. The newer chair holders dont even bother trying to upsale a hot shave or a towel for that matter. One stylist at my last visit literally smelled of dirty body odor and dirty clothes, just after he insulted a JI police officer while cutting his hair. Thought I found my barber shop, but cant get an appointment with the good barbers. Sad really.

Ive been going to see Katana for years! She always does an amazing job with myou hair. I convinced my boyfriend to try them and now Oskars is his go to barber. Its nice being able to both get a haircut at the same place for a reasonable price. I would recommend Oskars to anyone!
