WOULD NOT RECOMMEND,Definitely recommend just going to shelter and helping out those animals rather than this organization.I was interested in adopting a cat and I met with one and didnt think it was a great fit for me because this cat was young and needed a hands on attention. I was interested in visiting other cats. They abruptly sent Hi. You seem like a nice young man, but a cat can be a 20-year commitment. Maybe after you finish college would be a better time to take on the responsibility of a cat. That way it wouldnt matter as much if the cat were needy or not. Youd be in a better position to care for its needs, whatever they may be. Take care.WendySeems like they were trying to force the cat on you without a care of how the living situation would be.I understand it is volunteer based organization but this was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. But I am glad they looked down at my college decision and disrespect me because of my interest in another cat. I am perfectly capable of owning a cat and have been going to school and work for upwards of 7 years.Definitely recommend just going to shelter and helping out those animals rather than this organization.

Just had the best experience!! We found an injured cat and needed a rescue to take him! Wayne made a same day appointment to meet him and take the cat. He works a full-time job and at times has to spend his own money rescuing these cats. At a time in the world when people are just struggling to survive, it says a lot to still be rescuing animals and thinking of them first. Thanks for doing what you do. I will highly recommend you to others!

DO NOT RECOMMENDI tried to adopt a cat from AZ Rain, i filled out the application and i got in touch with Katherine and she let me know that the cat i had filled out the application for had multiple applications. i was okay with that and was interested in maybe some more cats to look at and adopt, however she offered no help and didn’t get back in touch with me for days afterwards, which makes for adoption very difficult. highly unprofessional and disappointing to the cats that actually need rescued.DO NOT RECOMMEND

I had such a good experience with R.A.I.N.! Firstly, I really appreciate the commitment the volunteers have shown to this organization. Katie was super nice and responded quickly! I was planning on adopting a kitten, but they (very politely) let me know that being raised alone isnt good for them. I think its really impressive how informed and responsible this organization is. They helped me to find a cat who is right for me and I couldnt be happier!

I needed some at risk kittens & cat from a dangerous situation & area. I call RAIN & they were right there ready to help. What a fantastic job they did & now all the kittens are safe & being assessed for socialisation so they to can have their happy furever homes. I cant thank Shala, Jessica & Grace for their help, compation & knowledge.

We had a fantastic experience with R.A.I.N. we adopted two cats from them! Our older cat was struggling to adjust to a new home and life with other animals. Both the foster mom and the woman who helped is with the adoption process were in constant communication with us the first few week and always went above and beyond helping us research techniques to help us help our cat adjust! They were kind and passionate and would check in to see how things were going but were never over bearing. We love our new kitties and genuinely enjoyed working with R.A.I.N.

They are located inside the pet store, there were no R.A.I.N representatives there yet but one came out about an hour later to help us, she was very sweet and informative, she was very clear with the whole adoption process and offered lots of helpful advice. If I was to get a second cat, id come back here first.

Ive tried calling this place for weeks. Left several voicemails and never receive a call back. We saw a cat in Petco and really wanted to adopt it but no one will ever respond.

Our short experience with the R.A.I.N rescue was brief but not very welcoming. We filled out an application online for a kitten. Shortly after we received a quick message back saying that they have in internal requirement that a kitten is not allowed to be adopted into a home without any other animals. It is required to either A) Take home two kittens B) Take home a older Cat. The representative we worked with stated:“But if you think about it, they only stay small for a short time and theyre adult size for the rest of their lives. So it really doesnt make that much difference if you bring one home thats already adult size that you love and has exactly the personality you want. Unfortunately, as I stated, you wont be able to adopt just one kitten.”This requirement is not posted on the website or application.Secondly, after visiting one of the adoption events we learned from a volunteer that you can not transfer ownership of the animal. If you wish to give the animal to anyone (family, friend, etc) RAIN requires that you give the animal back to them instead. If you are okay with these requirements I assume RAIN is a fantastic organization but these did not please us in our search for adoption and that is the purpose of this review.

Looking to speak to Wayne Miller as there is no contact number listed for him. I need some reassurance and more info on the company. I placed a kitten in foster and my heart is weighing heavy on the experience I had. No hard judgement on anyone just looking to get more info and clarification on safety and well being protocols.

My experience with RAIN was nothing short of fantastic! Adopted my dog through them 4 yrs ago (shar pie mix named Kevin at the time) and they were very communicative through the whole adoption process. They also helped me navigate the whole puppy shots process, micro chipping, and vet clinics... that’s a lot of follow up for a dog they had already adopted out! These people obviously care deeply for the animals they volunteer their time and homes to rescue... God bless you! It’s a shame that the other reviewer here (B NV) chooses to leave a bad review using vague descriptions and tossing around words like lawsuit territory for shock value. If you’re going to use words like that at least have the decency of using your name, otherwise your review holds little merit. Thanks again RAIN for outing me together with my best bud, MUCH appreciated!

I have dealt with several animal rescues in the valley and R.A.I.N. is a huge disappointment. If you believe it’s legitimate because they use floor space in Petsmart, you’re mistaken. It’s clear that the animals are of the lowest priority to them as you will not get a response for up to a week sometimes. If they tell you they’ll “get back to you tonight” don’t hold your breath. It’ll literally be 3-4 days before you hear back.Associates at several Petsmart stores say this is what R.A.I.N. is known for because they have other jobs which come first. This is also an excuse listed on their website. If you don’t have time to make the animals and their adoptions top priority, what are you doing?I run a business and all emails/texts from multiple accounts, are forwarded to my phone. These excuses from a grown adult are completely unacceptable.Aside from the negligent ineptitude, there is a very discriminatory “application” process to adopt. But they will accept payments no questions asked. This non-profit is treading water in lawsuit territory. Shame.
