Ive been a long time client of another barber in Champaign, but after a very disappointing experience, I decided to look around. Tried 2-3 other places with various levels of service, and after going longer than normal without a haircut, I finally decided to look to our Google Overlords for their advise. Long story short, there was something that clicked with me when I saw Genes Barber Shop, so I decided to give him a try. He was just finishing with another client, so timing was perfect. One look around, and I knew I found the right place. Gene is exactly what a barber should be. Hes a gentleman, hes a craftsman, hes a conversationalist, and he gives a great haircut thats priced just a little below what other people are asking. Bottom line: hes my new barber! 100% recommend that you give him a try!

Had a shave done. Later I noticed I had long patches of missed spots and areas around ear that wasnt cut. Not worth $20 for what you get in 5 mins.
