I highly recommend Clutch Cuts in Champaign. Very clean facility and the staff is very professional and friendly. Covid precautions are in place. Staff sanitizes everything and takes your temperature before you even walk in and masks are required. AJ has cut my hair for several years and does a fantastic job every time!

They take walk-ins. Prices are reasonable. Parking and getting out of the parking can be a little scary. Very pleased with my haircut. I asked for something specific and they did a great job.

My family loves coming to Clutch! The workers are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My husband won’t get his hair cut anywhere else and after coming to clutch with him I can see why. The barbershop itself is a very relaxed environment and because of the smaller size, it made it easy for everyone to talk together and laugh together. Sharing their experience. While there I saw different services being performed. Color, beard trims, nose, and ear waxing and what they refer to as their “Signature Clutch Cut” (my husband got that) It included a steam towel on the face during the shampoo along with a hot leather neck shave after the cut. My husband’s beard and haircut looked amazing when he was was done. I have been telling my friends to definitely have their husbands and sons check out Clutch cuts.

Clutch is an absolute amazing environment and has a real friendly feel! Nose waxing is another bonus that’s absolutely fabulous and not brought up a lot at other shops!

Ive gone several times. Often it seems like theres only a couple that stay otherwise the turnover feels high. I always use the same words to ask for my cut and its always different. My last time I spent over an hour in the chair because a new girl wanted to use me as a guinea pig without my consent. I didnt find out until she called one of the other girls over several times to look at it. Overall, I was only about 30% happy with the cuts.

I started going here after trying out a lot of other places in town. I always go to Mary. My hair is difficult to cut, due to two cowlicks, and other stylists have struggled. Mary did it right the first time and for that reason, I continue to go back.I like to get the Pit Stop, which includes an eyebrow waxing and neck shave, as well as shampoo and a hot towel. Considering how much you get, the price is very reasonable.

Each haircut place is made by the people. This place is one of the few that I liked for a haircut. its small but Mary did a good job and so I started going here. A little on the pricey side but not too bad.

Haircuts are okay and service is good... But the price is higher than it should be and they act like they provide a unique experience since they offer a hot towel, shampoo/scalp massage, and a neck shave. Probably not the typical haircut experience in IL... But from my travels... Thats the standard for most places (besides the lame Cost Cutters or Super Cuts). This place just left something to be desired.

UNPROFESSIONAL. I was banned by the manager AJ after giving feedback the back of my hair was trimmed uneven and sideburns unequal, as well as the stylist Mary not ever writing down notes for my hair and forgetting how its done. Instead of simply making adjustments to the feedback I was sent a voicemail canceling my appointment and told to find another shop. I had been attending this shop for 2 years with no issues until I had to switch to this stylist because my previous one moved away.REPLY TO OWNERS RESPONSE: Instead of trying to fix the situation in anyway the owner instead comments they disagree, when there is nothing to disagree with. Taking feedback personally and not making adjustments, and to then also kicking a long time client because of it, is absurd and intolerable behavior in a professional setting.Another sign of just how unprofessional this place really is.

First time using hair stylist as my mother did my whole life and passed away 3 weeks ago. Hair hadnt been cut for 6 months since she lost use of her hands and AJ was excellent it was fair priced and even waxed ear hair which has been horrible last ten years got me in 33 minutes and I am going to regular every two weeks.

Today was my first experience at Clutch cuts and it was fantastic! AJ cut both my boys hair (ages 5 and 10) She has actually been cutting the boys hair for many years now and we have followed her at each place she has been because she is so amazing and great with the boys. She does a great job with their hair and listens to what they want (my 5 year old is quite particular with his hair 😂) In addition to doing great with their hair she is personable and makes the experience totally relaxing and enjoyable! I highly recommend her and Clutch Cuts to anyone 🙂

After finding out my long time stylist, (AJ) had left Champaign to work in another town, I struggled to find anyone else who could cut my hair just right. I was so excited to find out she now is back in Champaign working at Clutch. I had never been there before and she recommended I make an appointment. (Which I did) The girls all were so incredibly friendly it was Obvious they enjoy their jobs and each other. I went with the Signature Clutch cut, which included a steam towel, scalp massage and a neck shave. I left feeling like a million bucks! Best hair cut my guy has ever gotten

I have driven 3 hours home more than once to get my beard trimmed and hair cut by either AJ or Mary. I was sick of cheap places messing my hair up so now I wait until the can get to Clutch and get it done right the first time.

Friendly staff, appoints are easy to make for the same day, and excellent quality for a very reasonable price.

Everyone there Is amazing always a perfect cut.
