Coler Crossing is a great place to live!

Squirrels breeding loudly in your walls that theyve been working on removing since September, a furnace that doesnt properly work and makes your electric bill over $400 a month that they tried to fix by changing the filter in your neighbors unit, a parking lot that doesnt get shoveled consistently and thus accumulates a 2 layer of ice, towing services that are functionally useless because the lot is too small to tow from, never following up on reported pre-existing damages present at move-in, the entire office going on vacation and being out of contact for days w/o warning, terrible customer service, and an apparent lack of caring should be more than enough for anyone to realize that signing with this company is a mistake.

Not many properties to choose from, high turnover rate for employees (never knew who you were going to deal with). I had a problem with my refrigerator when I first moved in, they fixed it, it broke again, they gave me a mini-fridge, took the full size, fixed it again, it went out again, again I was given the mini-fridge (which I had for a total of four months with a small child on the property), then received a new fridge. This fridge problem caused a lot of excess power usage AND a lot of food spoilage. I missed a month rent to keep my power on and food in the tiny fridge for a family of three during the process. Thankfully, I had no problems with that. One of the bedroom windows had a broken seal and was never fixed. The heat in my apartment was a joke. Tiny little wall-heaters similar to space-heaters.The only reason Im giving a good review is their maintenance WAS prompt with the fridge to first few times and after missing that month of rent, they gave me time to catch back up. However, they let my current payments go towards an outrageous late fee (after the missed month, I was paying back-dated rent and was charged a late fee every day for nearly a year). I feel the communication was bad on both our parts. If you rent from them, I hope your experience is better.

Customer service was immature. Looking for a lease for next year and thought it could be a potential place to stay. They would not display prices on the website (call for price), so I called to ask about apartment prices and they felt uncomfortable telling me the prices of the apartment building I was looking at. Then hung up on me as I was asking why.

By far the best place I’ve rented from since i moved to Champaign! The maintence is super friendly and always on top of things. Phil is so friendly and always quick to help when things go wrong! Definitely would rent from them again!

Living in Distillery your senior year is a move! Tons of space and a hot tub on the roof for constant bangers. Although the walls are thin, it offers the perfect location in senior land, 2 free parking spots, bar cards to TRL & Kams, and on-call maintenance that will fix any problem without hesitation (Shoutout Bruce!!!!)
