ETA #2: They showed up the next week! After I fired them! OMG.I used this company for about 4 years. They are cheap and relatively reliable; however, I cant recommend them as they keep making mistakes and refusing to make up for them or learn from the experience. They weedwhacked one of my decorative landscaping plants a little over three weeks ago- the same week I put it in. I complained, they claimed it looked like a weed (it doesnt-- its phlox, an obvious, common landscaping plant), and said they would replace it, but never did. Then this week they weedwhacked the phlox on the other side (which theyd missed the first time). This was the last straw. In the past they have also run over a hose and damaged my back fence by clipping it with a too-large mower.ETA: Oh, their response is such b.s. No record? If thats the case its only because they didnt keep good records. Please see attached screenshots of our email conversations about phlox + fence damage, plus bonus photos of damaged plants. (The only one I dont have a record of is the hose damage - I had left it lying out so at the time I considered it my fault and didnt mention it- however now I realize it was part of a pattern of carelessness. They couldnt just pick it up?)The most aggravating part is how its not even a good trimming job! He left huge chunks trailing over the stone wall! Its basically just a chunk taken out of the middle!

Was a great service for the last two years but they suddenly down sized without warning and now they no longer serve the area around my house.

In summary, good lawn service product; poor communication. I had Mow Dayton for lawn care services for about a year and they did a pretty good job of servicing the lawn.However, I was surprised to get an email indicating that my account is no longer going to be serviced by Mow Dayton THE DAY which I expected my lawn to be serviced. That means my grass is nice and tall, ready to be mowed. I wouldve appreciated servicing the lawn just one more time, and then immediately notify me of this change; that way I have more time to find another service. They did provide me with some recommended service providers in the area. I also see on their website that they still apparently service Dayton and Vandalia, which is where I live (north side of Dayton)...Please update your website, or indicate what customers youre willing to take on, and what customers you are not.I know my lawn isnt the easiest to mow; and I wonder if this is the actual reason for them not servicing my account any longer. Id understand if they wanted to charge an extra fee. They apologized in their email and seem genuinely sincere. However, Mow Dayton, in the future, please notify someone of this sort of change soon after a service has been provided.Therefore, go ahead with Mow Dayton for good lawn service; if they accept you. Yet, always have a second option ready, or go ahead with that second option instead...

I signed up online without ever calling or anything and got an email saying they service my area in Kettering on Fridays. My grass has been cut and trimmed every Friday since. I even had ridiculously overgrown grass the first time that they were able to tame.I’ve contacted countless companies and contractors on other sites and apps without success. Waiting on calls emails and plenty of no shows. So for the price and ease of mind, you couldn’t ask for more.

They did a good enough job and I was happy with them for their price, however, I have cancelled my service with them, and they still come mow the yard and then charge my card on file. They have been out to my house three times since I have cancelled and charged me for all three of them. They are a good price, but I would not suggest leaving a card on file with them, unless you want it charged repetitively after you are finished with their service.

I had bushes and trees removed, flowerbed clean up and fresh topsoil installed. Mow Dayton was reasonably priced and has excellent customer service. They are prompt in doing estimates, doing what they said they will do and keep their appointments. Its nice to actually have someone answer their phone when you call them or receive a returned call quickly. They even sent me pictures of the work as they worked on the project. I definitely will be using them again for additional work I need on my property. I like the pay on-line application as well. I highly recommend Mow Dayton.

So far unreliable.... no communication, and feel like lack of planning. You have known from the beginning, what issues there were. We discussed on phone and via-email/Internet. All I ask for is a date and time, be on time compete the task and move on to the next task.

After observing for a year the lawn care service they provided to a neighbors property, in April 2017 I contracted with Mow Dayton for residential (front & back yard) lawn care service. My wife and I have been extremely pleased with the service provided by Mow Dayton. Tony and Kevin are professional, thorough, and personable in the service they provide and at a very reasonable price. Lawn cutting, edging (to include flower beds, fence lines, pool deck, patio, driveway & walkway), and clean up; their total service is first-class! I highly recommend the lawn care service of Mow Dayton.

They did a great job every time. I was pretty amazed at how fast they got in and out and completed the mowing each week. They have their system down with a team or 3 or 4 guys that get it done nicely. I never had any problem with spots of the yard not mowed. They have a guy with a weed wacker that goes around and does the detail work far better than I ever would have done. I would use them again if I have a house in their service area.

Signed up for service based off the service areas on the website only to be later told I was out of their service area. Service areas need to be updated to reflect the actual areas for service.

Good company if you want BASIC services that the neighborhood kids could do. However, I would never hire them again. They do not pay attention to detail, make promises they do not deliver, then charge for incomplete services. When I spoke with the owner, she was dismissive, spoke over me, and refused to send a crew to complete the work they were charging me for. I dont trust any business that does not listen to its customers. The owner accused me of trying to get out of paying for services. I told her I would pay when the job was complete and she said I was already billed for the job and it was too late to complain about it! Really?!
