This rec center is great! Has big gym and swimming pool. Has lots of racquetball courts! Conducts swim lessons. Has dance studio for kids and one of the few rec center to offer gymnastics lessons for kids!!

This center is taking the steps to help us protect our health through activity and Covid procedures. Very thankful to be able to attend classes here!!

Quiet setting, beautiful location.

Courteous and friendly staff, large range of circuit equipment, well-stocked weight room, clean locker rooms, even spray and paper towels to wipe down your machine after using. Massages by appointment, too!! Options for membership for residents and non-residents. Daycare available at certain hours. I love the variety of classes they offer. Enjoy!

Great faculty, some things are different since the rona though.

Clean, racquetball courts were wide open (didnt even need a reservation), and staff were friendly. Cant ask for much more than that in a rec center.

Just okay. Took my kids, 4 & 7, to the pool. The people at the front desk didnt tell us swim lessons were going on. They wouldnt let us get in the pool after we got changed into our swimsuits. Fortunately, my kids took it really well.

We love the rec center! Classes are reasonably priced, you have to get signed up early because they fill fast. We have had some instances of less than pleasant employees on the phone, but it hasnt deterred us. My 2 year old takes gym and dance and Im looking into some painting classes. Im glad we have the rec center at our disposal, we enjoy coming here.

Lots of benefits to purchasing a pass for using facilities. The staff were very pleasant, extremely polite and personable. Must bring proof of residence to sign up. If you are in Sheridan area you cannot pay there, you must call a different facility. Check out South Suburban Recreation for lots of great options and activities for family fun.

Took my boys (1.5, 3.5 & 6) swimming on a Saturday morning, when we got there, found out the pool isnt open until noon. We left, came back when it was open, payed and expected to have a great time. The water was really cold, and the only 2 hot tubs they have are either 6 years and up, or 18 years and up. We left after only 15 minutes. Its fine for those with older children but not the best for those with younger children.

The old lady who runs the childrens art camp instead off letting me know that the pavillion had been reserved came to my table and coughed on my and my coworkers food after pulling off her mask. She then continued to place her things on our table when other tables were available and sat children specifically at our single table while others were available. She coughed on our food and employees. We do not understand why she couldnt have used words to express this. The young assistant was gracious and apologized for her elders behaviour. I work with terminally Ill people and her actions could literally kill someone. Her boss also seemed very nonchalant and said that they reserve that sitting area as though that made the teachers actions ok. Absolutely offended and dont think she should be around children. Especially while using them in her acts of weird aggression.

Went for a birthday party in the gymnastics area. Loved how fun it was for the kids. Very narrow hallway so its crowded and hard to navigate when other activities are going on.They seem to have so many activities for you to do. A small but active rec center. Gonna go back for pottery classes.

Goodson Tryathlon was very fun...all volunteers so encouraging....my new favorite triathlon! Great medal and hat. Awesome food... chocolate milk! Thank you all!

Rec Center is good if they have a schedule on the website that actually corresponds with them inside. I checked the schedule today and it had said after 12:00 there is open gym but no. I walked in and the front desk had said they were having a “basketball tournament”. Would be much better if they posted those things on the website instead of coming here and wasting my time. No go for me

The classes that are offered here are always of a high quality and the price of classes cant be beat!The staff is usually super friendly and helpful. Sometimes there is a wait to talk to a person in the registration office, but it is usually fairly fast service. The ladies at the registration office are also able to help you choose which class is correct

Goodson is a great facility with tremendous potential but the lack of customer service and staff that really care is the reason for the single star. Our brand new church contracted with Goodson to rent a meeting room, including set up. In three months of meeting there, it was NEVER completely set up for us and we received nothing but grief when trying to get it right (lots and lots of effort on our part...). Frankly, it felt like spiritual warfare and that we were not wanted there. Praise God, we outgrew the space and God sent us to much better place.

I love Goodson. The gym is fantastic; there are so many machines that you can work out on. The pool is beautiful, and the walking track is very nice. I love the windows that you can look out on.

Good facility. Gets the job done. Process are pretty high if you just want to use the gym or lift which was disappointing for a rec center. Has childcare if you need it. Parking is very difficult with the assisted living home close by.

Been to a few birthday parties here, the kids have a blast and the staff seems friendly and helpful! The gymnastic parties were fun, the staff knew had to get the kids involved!

This is the low cost alternative for physical fitness & community. In addition to fitness classes there are racket ball courts, a swimming pool, a gym & childrens basketball program, meeting and party rooms. Its a good value.

Great programs for kids. Reasonable prices. When we moved we wanted to be with South Suburban and were not disappointed.

Had a kids Birthday party here in the gymnastics area and then had lunch and cupcakes. Staff was nice and friendly.

This is the most amazing place ever indoor pool, gated play area out side, activities, the tot and parent gymnastics is amazing!!!! Hot tubs and a Sana room in the bathrooms! Raketteball and so much more!!! $6 for a day pass!!!!!!

I really want to love this place but there are a few things that really ruin the experience. The first being the hours. What’s the deal with Sunday? And closing at 6? Are they catering to the geriatric or kindergarten communities? The second is the hot tubs in the pool. It seems like every other time I go there they are down or the jets aren’t working! This is the main reason I go here and I have to call ahead EVERY time to see if they are working. Thumbs down Goodson Rec!

Gymnastics program is awesome for little kids

My kids take classes and play sports here - ballet, art, sports camp, basketball. Its clean, the prices are reasonable, all the classes weve taken have been great. We love coming here to swim, too. Great rec center!

Very good Rec. Center and Im lucky its very close to my home. I should walk there but its all up hill the last half going home. Ill use the excuse of age, overweight and I really dont want to walk there. LOL

Great Racquetball competition during league nights. The courts need a little bit more love and attention in order to make a more pleasant playing experience.

My family and I love this center. I have recently came into contact with a lady at the front desk who is very sharp and is not interested in customer experience. Normally I brush this off as a bad day, but her comments cause me to think she is used to this type of feedback, unfortunately.Ill still come back because this is the first bad experience I have had there and I really like the center and programs available. I will also update my rating as things improve.*Update.. that lady no longer works there. Ive renewed my subscriptions and upped the stars. The atmosphere is very plesent and the recent discounts have been great!

Somewhat expensive cheaper at gym clubs. Fair/reasonable for kiss type activities. Needs more tumbling, dance, pre ballet on weekends for 2-5age group.

Can get crowded on weekends, but is a nice facility. Reserve spaces for birthday parties months in advance, or youll be out of luck. Accessible by the Highline Canal Trail and Big Dry Creek Trail networks.

A well appointed and staffed facility that will provide you with whatever your exercise/recreational goals are. Theyve made extensive cardio equipment replacements and additions in the past year, so youll never lack for having access to your preferred workout machines.

I take a group of adults with special needs here once a month to workout. The staff is always friendly, helpful and understanding. The equipment room, pool and track work very well for our needs.

Excellent venue for pickleball indoors. I go every Sunday starting at noon for several hours. Silver sneakers play for free!

Pretty nice and quaint rec center.

A very nice facility, but we went as spectators for a gymnastics meet. It was very hot, crowded and uncomfortable. Columns obstruct views and you cant see below the bleachers. I would say this is the worst venue we go to ....for spectators anyway.

Good facility. I play in racquetball shuttles there frequently. The courts have just been recently resurfaced. David Risley runs the program now and is doing a great job. Locker rooms are clean, showers ok. There is also a hot tub & steam room. There is a pool and weight equipment. I dont use either but the equipment looks new.

The rec center is okay. But the people at the front desk are very rude. Tried to go yesterday and left because the woman at the front desk made me feel very unwelcome.

I moved from Parker, where I had my son in an amazing swim class.By comparison, I hate his class at Goodson. I actually feel like he is regressing. I expect more from them. To be fair, I dont know about the rest of the Center.

This place never seems to be super busy. However the amenities & design are dated. They have 2 pools, 1 kiddy and 1 lap. The Raquetball courts are not fully concrete enclosed. They have nets set up in the back and sides toward the rear of the court. The weight room and cardio area is fairly state of the art for 2017. The staff is always helpful and zero attitude, which is great. And a great park you can walk to with picnic tables and very nice covered areas to sit and enjoy the fresh air and outdoors.

A huge variety of classes and the drop in babysitting is a great offering. The pool is cold though and not great for swim lessons for really young kids.

Lifeguards are not kid friendly. Had nothing better to do than yell at every kid in the place. Surprised they even let the kids swim.
