CenturyLink is an amateur outfit. They would do anything to keep you off the phone. Talking to a human is a wild goose chase. You see their best foot forward when they are trying to sign you up but then youre on your own. They dont have any problem with auto-withdrawimg your payment, but nothing else Im their system seems to be fully functional.
If I could give 0 or negative stars, I would. My experience with CenturyLink was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with any company, in my entire life.I scheduled a first-time service installation visit for yesterday, 12/10/19, 1pm to 5pm. I took time off work to accommodate this window. I was charged $315 dollars for this service.I got an automated text message from my technician (shout out to Ellen: thank you for this awful nightmare) at 12:16pm with a link to schedule indoor access. I immediately followed the link, which took me to their basic contact page. I called one of their many customer service numbers and spoke to a rep who assured me that my appointment started at 1pm.I think the technician showed up 45 minutes early and when I didnt answer the door BECAUSE MY APPOINTMENT WINDOW STARTED AT 1PM, they merely wrote me off. They did not bother to call me at all. There was a phone number on my service order I tried to call - the line was disconnected. I spent the entire day waiting for the tech to show up and being reassured by every customer service rep I spoke to that my appointment was scheduled for 1pm to 5pm and that someone would be there between those times. I continued to check their wheres my technician support page that said my installation was still in progress and not we showed up 45 minutes early and you werent around so no internet for you! Not a single rep (I talked to at least 4) told me they had already visited my address until around 6pm.I immediately cancelled my account and CenturyLink is only refunding me for the $150 modem I never received - I am still responsible for the charges for the technician who showed up nearly an hour before the appointment time and did not communicate with me at all, as well as the $40 for the first month of service.Absolutely the worst experience of my life with any company and my car was towed once in Chicago 😅
Our internet drops constantly and is consistently just horrible connection. When we cal customer service they hang up on us after being on hold for 30 minutes. They have hung up on us more than 5 separate times.
So slow as to be unusable. I have been trying to get a song to play on Spotify for a half hour.
My parents use this service in Mount Vernon and their phone and tv constantly go down and it takes days to get it fixed garbage service
