I lived in Iowa for 6 months only in 2018 and the first time I fueled my new Accord there, all sorts of lights in the dashboard turned on. The dealer wanted to change so many parts including head gaskets and fuel injectors for over $750. I went to Professional Mufflers and the mechanic there refused to do any repairs on it until I have done all the testing he wanted me to do. The car got back to normal on its own, nothing was really broken in it like the Honda dealer said. Very honest and professional mechanics. Thank you.

Simply the best muffler shop around. Randy has been there forever, and so have the majority of his mechanics. These guys do great work, and you NEVER have to worry about being lied to, or overcharged. They will explain the issue, show you exactly what needs to be fixed, and then generally present you with a few options, depending on your budget. Also, they do more than just repairs, they install completely custom performance exhaust if that is what you are looking for. I have had them do repairs and custom work both, and have always been impressed with the quality of their work. This is definitely the place you want to take your vehicle for anything exhaust related if you live in the corridor!

I had two mini vans I have been neglecting to have fixed because for the past 3 years, every time I take a vehicle in for repair it costs me an arm and a leg. Good Year used to be a great place. But now they want $40.00 just to look at your vehicle and tell you whats wrong!I took my first mini van to Professional Muffler, knowing I was leaking brake fluid like crazy from both the front and the rear. It was only $296. ! I couldnt believe it. So I took my other mini van that had a belt getting ready to snap. I had been quoted more than $400 by another mechanic. Professional Muffler had it done quick for a little over $90.00!This place is honest, friendly and reasonable. Two thumbs up and a 5 STAR review from me!

Originally came in for an exhaust leak, but their technician Mark was able to diagnose, and fix, a bigger issue. Ended up solving soo many problems I was having with my truck!

I had a relatively simple issue, and most other places in town wanted to install a brand new part. That would be fine, only my car is just a $1500 beater, so I obviously dont want to be putting into it too much.They fixed the issue very quickly, and the price was way better than I even hoped to get it for.They were very courteous during the whole process, I definitively would say that they are a business worth keeping in my list of recommendable places.

I am very pleased with the work and people here. I was referred here by Hubbles in Marion because they couldnt weld the parts because the metal was too thin. They gave me an estimate of over 2100$ for new catalytic converter and pipes including labor Randy inspected my problem and and asked me to tell him my story again so I did, he said well they would have had to disassemble everything, and asked me if the cracked pipe that was too thin was my major issue. I replied yes and the sensor light. He said well Im a pretty good welder so... I said how much and he told me 20$ I was happily surprised! He did the job and further inpection showed another crack in the flange close to the sensor that went bad and a muffler with some holes, he repaired it all for just under 500$. I am so thankful there are buisiness and people like Randy that are looking to help you fairly and great priced! Thanks again. Fred

I visited the Professional Muffler auto repair shop in Cedar Rapids Iowa and as always this is my number ONE go to mechanics for questions and to have my repairs done. Randy is an awesome man and 100% a trusted mechanic and his auto repair shop is the best anywhere I have ever seen and gone to for what I needed to have worked on and done with the services they have to offer. The price is very fair and cant beat that when they are 100% a trusted mechanic shop.

Again these guys are great. i took my car in for an oil change to firestone, they checked for other issues. their quote/labor was insane for what they found. $1600 for struts/tire rods/etc. labor alone was half that almost. took that same quote into professional muffler inc and Ben there cut it down to $876 with labor and said the tire rods were pretty good actually. very honest and informative on how all the pieces work.go to these guys first for body work (struts/brakes/shocks/mufflers/etc). they are great.

I trust Professional Muffler implicitly. Ive taken my vehicles here for 20 years after getting a recommendation from a friend. They go above and beyond to treat you fairly. Many years ago I had a muffler replaced at a competitor. Since I had a lifetime warranty on it, I went back when the exhaust started leaking a couple years later. They told me I needed a new axle pipe in addition to the muffler. Since I had just replaced that pipe within a year, I was skeptical and went to Professional Muffler for a 2nd opinion. They told me the pipe was fine and even offered to replace the other guys muffler for me for free. This is just one example of how Randy and his staff bend over backwards for you. Theyve earned my business for life.

Brought my car in because it had become very loud. I thought that the entire muffler shaft needed to be replaced as thats what Goodyear had quoted saying that would cost $480 for that and couple other things. $64 later at Professional Muffler and 30 minutes to repair I was out the door with a simple repair.So glad I was recommended to this place!

Came in for an estimate to get a loud rattle fixed, and Randy took care of it for no charge. Still need a new muffler, but at least it wont make that good awful racket until I get it replaced. Second time Ive been here and very impressed both times. Totally recommend it.

I thought my Cadillac convertor was going out on my car. I called them to schedule an appointment, they informed me that if my car had less than 80,000 miles it would be covered by the manufactures’ warranty and should bring it to the dealer. This was very helpful information that they didnt have to share!I went to Dave Wright Subaru to have them look at the issue. They said the heat shield had come loose and for $50 they would remove it. They said it was not needed. I asked them to touch nothing. The visit took 35 minutes to do nothing.I went to Professional Muffler that same day. They looked at it. Spot welded the shield back in place and didnt charge me anything! I was in and out in about 8 minutes. Friendly, fast, and know their craft.
