The service has been spot-on. If I own it and it can be insured, David insured it. Ive only been a customer for 38 years so its early yet but Im over-satisfied. To my knowledge, other that their mother and me, David is the only person to have given my sons the safe driving talk.

David Schara has been the only home and auto agent we have had since we bought our first home in 1982. We have always received superior service in support of any claim we have filed and consistent consultation in keeping our costs in check while keeping us fully covered. I cannot imagine there is a better person to work with than Maryellen Sellars who has handled our business forever. There may be criticism of State Farm as a company but if great customer service is the priority you are looking for, this is your place.

You will hit the jackpot by choosing the David Schara Office!!This office has gone above and beyond for the past 10 years I have been a customer. When I was involved in an accident that wasnt my fault, they helped me while I was waiting for the at faults insurance to get their ducks in a row.After being confused for years about how Life Insurance works, Monica was able to explain it in words that made it very simple. She was able to set me up with an affordable plan that is a perfect fit for my family. Im even pretty sure she stayed after her normal work hours for our conversation to happen.I havent lived in the Cedar Park area for about 5 years, but I refuse to transfer to a SF agent in my new area. Im so thankful for that decision, because when I was affected by Hurricane Harvey, Maryellen helped me with all my insurance needs when it was just plain hard to wrap my head around the next step to get back on my feet.I can tell that both ladies, who I have had the pleasure of closely working with lately, thoroughly love their jobs simply by the happiness in their voice. My countless questions have never been a burden to them, and they always reply back in a timely manner.

Was reviewing and shopping for car and home insurance...made an appointment at the David Schara State Farm office on Parmer. Met with Monica Story there and compared my current policies. I was very impressed and changed my 3 policies over to them. The price was competitive and I was able to upgrade some specific areas on the home insurance for the same price. Steve Anderson.. Truly amazing customer service. Ive been with David Schara for decades, for auto/home/renters, etc., and they have consistently bent over backwards to take care of me in all kinds of situations. The staff here has put a lot of labor hours into taking care of me, and has been impressively knowledgeable. Its pointless to ever even check pricing with any other carrier. I may sound gushy, but I cant stress enough. After all the hours their staff spent on me last summer, after somebody ran a light & totalled my car, I literally feel guilty for not getting thank you cards for David, and his entire staff. The logistical complications following the wreck were a nightmare. When I called the other drivers insurance company, as given to me by the police officer, they said the policy had been cancelled. The damage was such that we couldnt assume it was totaled, which was just one of many complications. It later turned out the driver had a policy with another company, and so many things got so out of whack and drawn out, that I hope I never have another wreck in my life. Long story short, the labor hours spent by not-only State Farm in general, but also Davids office, was relatively massive. Thanks!

Ive been getting all my insurance needs from David Schara for over ten years. He and his staff are top-notch. They are fast and efficient. Just as important, they make you feel like family when you talk to them. I called a credit union the other day and waited 15 minutes to talk to someone. I routinely deal with Jill at David Schara. Not only do I immediately get in touch with her, she usually has my request taken care of within five minutes! I dont know how she does it. You just cant beat that kind of service.

Longtime Allstate customer. Left there due to poor customer service. Should have done it a long time ago. Great experience with David Scharas office in Cedar Park. Friendly staff and always respond promptly to my requests. Imagine that. Not to mention they gave me a much better rate than Allstate. No regrets.

Soon after buying a new Suburban in 2003 we were hit by an uninsured driver. David Schara’s office was extremely helpful. They took care of towing, repairs and even new car seats. Within a couple hours I had a replacement rental. They were apologetic that there had only been a Tahoe available and not a Suburban!? Great experience! We no longer live in Austin metro area, but still use them for all of our insurance.

Dave Schara – “almost” like a family “friend”We have been with St. Farm for over 30 years, we have been with Dave Schara for approximately 10 years and we have refused to shop for less expensive insurance in the name of staying with St. Farm.Wow—BIG mistake. St. Farm began notifying Dave Schara in April/May that they were reviewing/terminating policies for frequency of claims. (Note: they cite 8 claims over 10 years for 3 drivers. These claims include: 2 windshield repairs, 2 towing claims and a rental car reimbursement. Together total about $500 at the most.)Oops, I guess it never crossed Dave’s conscience to notify us of that. Dave let us renew our June-December policy without a mention of that small fact. Oh, and July, August, September, October and ½ of November pass—still no word.We get a phone call that our auto policy will not be renewed due to the frequency of claims. Let’s understand this—it is not the dollar amount, it is the frequency.No word mentioned from Dave that these small claims will come back to bite us in the butt later. No word mentioned from Dave that we might want to just pay cash for these claims to avoid too much “frequency” of claims. No word mentioned from Dave that they look at “frequency” over dollars paid.Wow—mistake to stay with St. Farm with some misperceived loyalty. Who we think is “our” agent, who would “help” us to keep our coverages appropriate (ie the best coverage; the best value ) Nope, it doesn’t work that way because Dave Schara actually waited until about 6 weeks before our cancellation to notify us. He left us a short amount of time to shop around and made it clear that he represents St. Farm and does not care about or service his clients appropriately.Great news – think about it while you have choices and are not left hanging.

Went in on my lunch break and told them I was short on time. Jill got me set up with new car insurance from scratch in under 15 mins. It was also a cheaper policy with better coverage.The customer service was amazing. This is a top notch office ran very well with expierienced staff.
