The new set up great, I love the ability to pick your own balloon. Its a little overwhelming to have so many isles with duplicate categories. Prior there was an isle for adult birthday and isle for kids birthday now its 10 short isles for each. (Over-exaggeration but you will see when you go)It allows you more time and space in your party theme area without constantly crossing over people, in congested isles, which is great. BUT its a scavenger hunt to find what you are looking for. Its perfect for COVID-19 shopping, but they need a map. Employees are super knowledgeable about locations which is a big plus. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THEY DISPLAY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES AND DECOR!

Be very careful when placing an order online. I placed a balloon order online and the next day I received an email that part of the order was cancelled. I decided to cancel the full order. I was told that I had to go into the store to cancel the order. The store is 10 miles away. Doesnt make sense that I can place an order online but to cancel it I have to go into the store. Clearly the goal is to avoid giving customers a refund. Again, be very careful.Update: Just walked in and told a store associate that I wanted to cancel my balloon order. He asked me my name and the date of the order. I gave him the info and he cancelled the order. They did not need my credit card.

If you are wanting to dress up for October, now is the time to get those costumes. Everyone was super friendly and informative about my balloons. I had brought my own and was trying to figure out how to get them blown up and hidden until Thursday as Im trying to surprise my mother. Not only did they help in creating an order for me to pick up later, they also helped come up with ideas on how to sneak them past my mom!

I absolutely LOVE PARTY CITY! ...I was so sad to learn all the locations in North Carolina are closing! ... The crew was very positive and upbeat, despite the store closing... Confused I was very much so, I not sure if she was new, or just didnt feel like working this particular day. A reminder to us all! The job didnt come knocking on your door! You chose that job! Ordered a balloon bouquet online to pickup the day of my sisters bridal shower. My card was never charged so I had to pay there. There was a long line and one person working the register while several others were behind the counter. It took me 15 minutes to just get rung up for an order I placed days prior. Regardless I got what I came for and they were perfect balloons.

They definitely have a comprehensive selection on party supplies. I bump them down two stars for being a helium baloon supplier. Helium is *not* a resource we can replace. I dont understand why it can be sold so cheaply when it is such a valuable resource. I can only request that people educate themselves about how important of a resource it is to us and stop consuming it.

The store is organized by color, which can be very helpful when planning an event. They stock things from the ordinary to the bizzarre, and I am having trouble coming up with a family-friendly party-ware need that they dont have.This store in particular, however, feels a bit old. The floor isnt dirty, but it looks well-worn and slightly offputting. I first went here while getting cups and plates for my wedding reception a long time ago, and the age of the store has slowly started to show (I can say the same about myself, though, so perhaps I shouldnt judge). The staff seem nice enough but are often consumed by the balloon counter.

I absolutely love this store at the customer service here is always great and they have a wide variety of things. They definitely have a lot of things at are more expensive at Party City then it per say Dollar Tree and then pretty much the same quality but all in all they have a lot of variety of things youre not going to find anywhere else. The store is also well laid out and always clean.

Intensely unhelpful staff and unwelcoming environment. I went in looking for a bald cap for a costume. The aisle that the wigs were on was crowded, not with customers but with employees. I could not move through the aisle well and the three employees were loudly gossiping. I approached them to ask for help finding the item, and though two of them saw me standing right next to them, mouth open to about to start talking, none of them turned towards me nor did the stop their personal conversation or even quiet it to any degree. I stood there for a long moment waiting but there was no dip in the conversation and so I left the aisle. After scanning many areas and not finding what I was looking for, I finally got the attention of another employee who was walking around the back. I asked him if they carried the item I was looking for and he said “yeah, follow me.” But he just walked me two feet towards the same aisle and said “up at the front by the wigs” and then walked away quickly before I could tell him I had looked and had difficulty finding it. The three girls were still blocking the aisle in the middle so I just left. I understand wanting to work in an environment where you can have conversation and be friendly with your coworkers and have fun, but I couldn’t even get an employee to look at me. And I really needed help finding it because I have a really hard time scanning through large amounts of inventory to find one thing, particularly when I don’t know what the packaging looks like. So I suppose I’d say shopping online is preferable, even though I particularly wanted to buy the item in person and today.

Called in the morning and got great service. I was looking for something specific and they were very friendly and helpful in clarifying what I needed and then checking stock. I havent actually been to the location but I was impressed by the staff I interacted with on the phone, which i usually expect to be less inclined to help than in-person.

The staff here was very helpful and friendly. For the most part this is just like any other party city but it is located in a good shopping center. There a lot of good stores and several places to eat.

Won’t go back. Employees give the bare minimum service and don’t care if you leave there happy or not. Plenty of other stores that will appreciate my business or at least pretend to as that is what they should do.

For Balloons, a staple of Party City, this location performed reasonably. They did not alert the customer of the 8 hour nature of their balloons beforehand. Their balloons are relatively expensive at $1.40 for a simple helium balloons. The staff overfilled all of the balloons and multiple people popped them just trying to get into the car and had to request more. Their hair spray color does not work on darker hair, but their solid plastic products are novel and useful.

There is a former manager harrasing me and distributing illict photos of potential current employees. Not sure if yall gotta policy about this but its a bit much

Tons to choose from - as always, party city has what you need for every party occasion. My friends and I went just 3 days before Halloween and I was surprised to see they actually had outfits stocked - I expected the store to be bones and under stocked and messy. But they were well quipt for the masses of people last minute Halloween shopping (as we were). And the isles were pretty clean, given all the people scrounging through them and throwing things everywhere.Props to party city ~

The aisles arent labeled so you dont have a choice but to ask for help to find things if youve never been to the store. On the plus side, the cashier knew the store like the back of her hand and knew exactly where to find everything.

Got there 30 minutes before they were closing and that didn’t matter they still helped me rent a balloon tank and kindly loading my car for me! What better customer service can you expect?!

The customer service is truly terrible! I went into Party City to find a welcome home baby sign. The only one they had that was remotely close to what I was looking for was located way too high to reach without the assistance of a sales associate. Only problem...No one was around!!! I settled on something I could reach. I walk up check out and two associates are having a conversation about the associates drawer being .05 cent short! Totally ignoring me in line!As I am finally about to be checked out a man walks in with a return and the associate acknowledges him, turns his back to me, as though he was about to help him! I had to state I was next, which the sales associate seemed to find amusing! To further infuriate me he takes his time ringing up my one item and speaking to another associate across the sales floor (which I was wondering where they were hiding) about a matter which could have been handled after I was done!. I request a survey and the associate stated the receipt was in the bag and have a nice day! If I could rate the with negative stars, I truly would!!!

They did everything for my gender reveal prep wise and did a great job.

Jerry the assistant manager helped with balloons and was very kind and went out of his way. Prices are a little crazy, but I appreciated his customer service.

Of course they have one of every inexpensive party decor item available. Dont be afraid to mix match fu or your perfect theme, or run with the suggested grouping. Helium ballons seem to be a mystery as to where to buy them these days - theyve got them.

Massive selection of party gear of course, but theyre not cheap! If youre looking for a deal - this is not your place. I can get helium birthday balloons for $1 at The Dollar Store and the virtual same thing at PC is $3?? Staff at Crossroads store make it very obvious theyd rather be somewhere else - cant say i blame them, but still - they applied to work there so at least be cordial to your customers...whatever, Ill suck it up and go back still next time I need party mess :)

As a long-time customer, I am appalled with the disparaging treatment to which I was subjected during a recent shopping trip.While browsing for items for my mothers Mothers Day party, two employees began staring at me from only a few feet away. They actually stopped what they were previously doing to watch me. I left one area of the store and entered another; meanwhile, four male store employees positioned themselves at the front entrance as though they were security guards at a bank. This was done to ensure that I did not attempt to run out without paying for the items in my shopping cart.Apparently, I stayed in the store too long and did not look as though I had enough money to pay for the things in my shopping cart... a mere $128. I own $600 shoes for Gods sake. I had the look...a black female which is all it takes to be labeled a thief and shoplifter. I feel terribly sorry for people who are over 30 years of age and forced to work in retail. A 50 year old working in retail is pitiful. However, these people are retail workers for a reason and it has everything to do with being an under-achiever and having a negative outlook on life, in general. I make more money in one week than workers including managers (typically only earn a dollar more than other store workers) at Party City do in one month. These sorry excuses for human beings had the gall to treat me like a thief when they are more than likely ripping off the store due to their low income. Its the lack of money which is the root of all evil.I plan to continue shopping and spending mine and my husbands money in Party City. The poor workers need every penny and I give to numerous charities in and around the Triangle.

Great place for birthday supplies, but be sure to compare prices with other stores. Some items are a good buy, but others are overpriced by several dollars. Check Amazon, Dollar Store, and Walmart/Target.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I ordered items online and my card was charged the entire amount. When I went to the store to pu they refused to give me my item unless i paid again. I even got my bank on the phone to tell them i already paid for it. The still refused to give me my items. I ended up disputing the charge with the bank.

HORRIBLE customer service by Manager named Jennifer. I came to return a faulty fog machine with a receipt that I had purchased less than 24 hours prior and was told they only exchange for the same product. I asked if I could try the machine out before driving all the way home to find out if it would actually work or not and the associate who was originally helping me asked his manager, Jennifer.Jennifer was immediately dismissive, saying you can only exchange it for a working product, not even listening to the actual question I had asked.Then when he repeated my inquiry about testing the machine out she scoffed at me and said No! You cant test out a fog machine in the store! What was the problem with the first one? I told her it was making a horrible alarm noise PAST the amount of time that the instructions had told me it would. Then she asked if I had diluted the fog juice with water as the instructions that came inside the box specifically said not to do (never add anything other than x-brand fog juice).She then proceeded to yell at the associate (in front of me and the rest of the store) who was helping me for not putting a sign on all the fog machines with new rules telling people to dilute the juice. Completely unprofessional, as a manager. I repeated my question if I could just get store credit, as I had planned on getting a few more Halloween items. She just said no again and walked away. Completely disrespectful!Not letting me test out the new fogger in the store was understandable, but my reason for writing this novel of a review is because of Jennifers entire attitude and demeanor towards me that made me vow to never give them a single dollar again at this location!!! This is all because of rude Jennifer and her poor handling of a simple issue! Awful!!!

I watched the ugliest thing happen in this store the other day. Some manager named Jennifer started berating one of the employees for placing something on the racks in an uneven line. Not just chastising, but cursing and yelling. I could tell the employee was new, he couldnt have been any older than 18. No employee should have to go through something like that. As long as she works there, I will not be buying anything from here. Managers should not be bullying employees. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is the only time Ive ever been to this party city and I left absolutely livid. I spent about 10-15 minutes making a gender reveal balloon and brought it here to be blown up. I bought all of the confetti from a party city in Raleigh (they were nice there). As I finished paying $11.99 to have my balloon blown up, I look over to see it explode all over the place. I immediately asked for a refund and as I was getting my refund I asked if they would give me the confetti they just wasted. They said no, but they would scrape it up for me... as I watched them start I got so mad that I told them no, thats dirty and disgusting. Have you ever seen a gender reveal? The balloon pops and all the stuff goes flying. I dont want dirt and hair flying all over my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I am also pregnant, and couldnt handle the stress so I left. My husband is now on his way to see if maybe he can get some proper customer service. I didnt even get an Im sorry. They just started telling me the balloon was the wrong size!!?!???

Eww. From entrance, to bathroom area, to how I saw employees interacting with guest.....eww. I guess because its Party City and they literally DO have everything, people are going to shop there. It was around Halloween and they were slammed, so that may have accounted for some of what I saw, but still....nothing in there is free. The employees looked overworked and the layout, cleanliness was not appealing. When we asked for a pinata from a high end cap, the employee honestly seemed annoyed like we were interrupting her. Great selection, meh customer service.

I was not greeted.. the manager was very standoffish when I asked for help.. I told him I never been here before and then asked for him to get me a balloon. he was very rude and sarcastic when I told him which balloon I wanted.. the staff looks miserable and they all mumble.. it was not a fun inviroment.

The customer service at this location is horrible. They need to fire every associate in the store and start over. I went in today to purchase a cake topper after being asked if I needed help to be only told thats all they had without the employee even checking in the back or another store. I ask for a Manager ( who must have been some shift manager) who was very argumentive and too lazy to call another store. After she lied and stated you could not look it up with the number on their own website. I requested to speak with the store manager. In which time the store manager took the time to look it up and have the first employee to look up stock at a another store. This employee again was just a rude and argumentive as the other one. The Asst Store manager at which time took over the situation - called another store and had the item held. Now what was so hard about the other 2 employees just simply doing their job. Each time I go into this location they are always unprofessional.

They had what I needed, but there was zero customer service and the place is visibly dirty. I passed multiple employees, some more than once, and not one said a word to me or asked if I needed help finding anything (basic customer service). When I went to checkout, the girl behind the counter was blowing up balloons (no other customers) and completely ignored me. I stood there a good 3 minutes before she called another employee, Vicky, to the register. It took another couple of minutes for her to get to the front and I was greeted with an audible sigh and body slump. The only interaction she gave was my total after she tossed my stuff around during the process and shoved it in the bag like she was pissed at life. The whole experience was completely off putting and rude.This location needs new management for damn sure. Employee morale is clearly lacking and the place needs a good cleaning, which the multiple employees hanging out in the back area could have been doing or, idk, helping customers. Ill be driving the extra time for a different location in the future.

Gets over-crowded near Halloween, lots of costume choices--not all are cheap/reasonable cost, most are cheaply made. Great for party supplies, balloons, etc.

This store is located on Walnut St. In Cary. Its a mid size store with limited inventory. I went ti buy some containers for party but they did not have it. It is ok store. I was not impress at all with this store. Would never west time here.

Holy crap, so terrible. I went in there trying to buy some candy and had to leave because every single one of the employees was frankly, inept at their job. There were four aisles, and each cashier was caught up drowning in their own pathetic moat of customer service despair. One cashier held up the line to price check a little bead necklace that could not have been more than fifty cents; another cashier could not figure out her register. A third cashier was looking for a specific costume that was supposedly put on reserve, despite the manager assuring her that they do not reserve items for customers. And where was the fourth cashier? Also assisting with the costume that, as already established, was not, and had never been reserved.Oh, and to cap off the entire experience, the power went out and an employee screamed and bolted in fear - directly into my girlfriend.

They never have what I need and you can tell the staff doesnt want to be working there. I always feel like I am inconveniencing them by asking if they have a particular item.

I did experience problems with their payment gate. Charged me for things that didnt went through the payment system. And on the end I could not return the purchase even if it was 4 days before Halloween. Well, I got one scary mask extra for almost 30$.

Is it me or do all Party Citys feel cramped and congested. Theres just so much packed into one building. However they do have a wide variety of materials ranging from costumes to party supplies. Service is lackadaisical. Parking lot in front.
