I hired this contractor because they are a national chain. The issue I had was for a rental property and wanted my tenant to be happy.The mold removal was great and Rob and his team were great.The construction side is a completely different story. The estimate I got was way over priced for the work that needed to be done . I made the choice to only have a portion of the job done . My mistake it was apparent that this was not what the contractor wanted to be done. But I think 250 dollars for a piece of wood under the sink is a bit much.There were numerous issues throughout the process and when I contacted service master to finish I was told “ your insurance paid for that to be done not for me to do it .I would not reuse this contractor would seek someone on one of the websites like Angies list instead .My rating one star

My father and I were faced with the problem of a broken water heater that flooded our basement. I want to thank the ServiceMaster company and staff in Cary, Illinois, for the excellent service provided to us. We were very pleased with the prompt response and the ability to provide a resolution quickly. The company exceeded our expectations. I spoke to Jim H, and he and a crew showed up within the hour. They handled the water softener, removal of the carpet, cleaned the floor and furniture. Jim also answered all of our questions and helped me work with our insurance company. There were follow up calls and visits to make sure we were satisfied with the outcome. We will be using them for restoration in the near future too. It is nice to know that ServiceMaster in Cary, Illinois, is a company we can always count on 24/7.

Everyone was friendly, professional and attentive to detail. They did a wonderful job cleaning my house after a kitchen fire. I also used them to rebuild my kitchen and love it!!

Both Anthony who made the initial contact and Robert who inspected after went above and beyond to keep me safe and my home mold/mildew free. The ServiceMaster team I used for the initial remediation was absolutely wonderful, so when they recommended I use the ServiceMaster Kwik Restore team for the rebuild at my condo, I didnt hesitate. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. What should have been a 3-4 day process has now dragged on for 4 weeks. The initial work done was sloppy & lazy, to say the least. They painted a ceiling in the bathroom & dripped paint all over the toilet, vanity, fixtures, walls & tile floor, which the grout now has white paint all on it. They painted walls & left all the switch plates on & painted around them & got paint all over them. There is also paint on the header of the white blinds in the bedroom, which has not completely come off. They tried to get me to sign-off on & pay for materials & services listed in the contract that were not provided or performed; namely, 3 doors were to be replaced & painted & the door jambs painted & instead, they painted the water damaged doors & didnt paint the door jambs, at all. And the paint job on the doors was horrible, as well, as they painted the hinges & hardware. The doors were only replaced after I called them out on it, but were then replaced with doors that dont match the doors in the rest of the condo. Now, on to the carpet installation. The carpet installers trashed the newly painted walls, trim & baseboard heating vents. There was padding adhesive on the walls & numerous holes in the walls. When the painting team came back to fix those issues, they simply painted over the adhesive on the wall, so the team leader had to come back out to fix that. It has been a long, painful process to simply get things to an acceptable level, but it certainly is not the professional quality of work I was expecting for the thousands of dollars I was charged. When I reached out the the manager about this, he apologized, thanked me for letting him know & said no company is perfect. Perfect? This was so far from even acceptable, that I expected a little more than an, oh well, sorry response. As it stands, now, I would not recommend working with this SeviceMaster franchise, and ServiceMaster may want to look into this company that is out there representing their very reputable name.

If I could put a negative for the service I would. This company will absolutely take advantage of you. I don’t ever post anything online but in this situation I must tell everyone. For starters they will try and overcharge and on top of that, they seem to not care about there employees. I can’t stress out enough how unsatisfied I was with service master Cary.

My experience went from hearing all things I wanted to hear to everything turning sour I felt taking advantage of the person I work with for my home gave so many false promises the walls were half painted the floor tiles were done very unprofessional the cabinet look like I hire someone off the street to do the work instead of a professional company the person I worked with after my house fire seem so nice and trustworthy but once he got all the money from the insurance company that he over charged for everything he made it seem like he was doing me a favor by repairing my house to my liking once he convinced me to sign the papers to say the work was complete and to my liking and I can hold the last check until I’m satisfied was a lie he called me until he received the last check and was to have them come back to complete the work I wasn’t happy with it’s been a little over a month and I haven’t heard a word from Servicemaster i admit it was stupid of me to sign the paper without being completely happy but you live and learn I feel I should not have to call him to remind him about the work that need to be done I’m very unhappy with my service and wish I would have looked elsewhere before putting my trust into this company false promises and unprofessional work

The carpets looked great after the team cleaned the entire house right before we moved in. Unfortunately our basement flooded a little over a month ago and Andy and his team were over helping with the clean up in a little over an hour and helped save our drywall and valuables. I highly recommend the ServiceMaster kwik restore team. Many thanks.

We had all our carpets cleaned, they did an amazing job. Moises & Pacheco worked really hard putting a lot of effort into the process. They were professional and very personable. The carpets had quite a bit of dirt in the high traffic areas; they were able to get all the dirt out, the carpets look almost like new. Great job by this team, if anyone needs carpets cleaned these are the guys to use.

Ive had carpet cleaners out before, and Ive always felt that tacky feeling on the carpeting after its done, even after its dry. Its like a soap residue that then attracts more dirt as time goes on. But this time, I decided to try ServiceMaster and my carpeting looks and feels like new. Its so super soft and silky, not tacky, and all the stains are gone! I wasnt home during the cleaning, but my daughters told me the crew couldnt have been any nicer or faster! Thank you so much! Well be calling you again when were ready. :)

The staff at Service Mast was great - from my initial appointment set up with clear information, to the techs that came to service my house. The guys that came did a walk through, listened to concerns, made a plan and gave some suggestions and got to work. The carpets looked great afterwards. High traffic areas like stairs were so much better. I was so pleased! And I cost a bit less than I had expected.

Here is the email I sent to Service Master after they cleaned my 20 year old needle point rug.. Am headed out of town but didn’t want to leave before I let you know how pleased i am with the cleaning of my dining room rug! We call it “The Bone Yard” because my dog always takes his greasy bones in there to chew and collect! This 20 year old needlepoint now looks like it did when we first bought it! Service Master cleaned my carpets and they looked fabulous! I did get the scotch guard treatment, which worked great, but they told me it lasts about 6 months. That was exactly how long it lasted. So just be aware that if you do that you should reapply some Scotchguard type treatment every 6 months.
