He is a cornerstone in the community. The tailoring is top-notch. I have taken small patches to be seen on and they are impeccable. We took my sons long baseball pants in to be shortened to knickers and were absolutely pleased with the results. He has reasonable turnaround and high quality is something he takes pride in.

Ali has been our family tailor since 1987. He has taken care of all our clothing alteration needs. He is old school trained, friendly, and very talented. You could not do any better for quality of work and value while supporting a long time local Cary business. He remembers his customers.

At the course of services obtained, I used to travel back and forth from D.C. area. How the clothing should fit and what looks good depends on person wearing, and people observing. A-1 tailor shop has been great at understanding the request, measuring the garments and suggesting good advises. Same size clothing of same brand, purchased at the same store measure and fit differently. A-1 tailor master demonstrated these things during course of this work. One time, I requested that front large pockets of nylon with down jackets be taken off. The result was as good as possible. Finally, the cost has been very reasonable compared to only other place I have been before. Had I been to A-1 alterations instead of the other place, I believe the master would have suggested me not to alter the suit piece...

Very pleased to have a new zipper in my winter coat! The old zipper kept pulling apart and I thought the coat was ready for last rites. Now I expect to get years more from a fairly expensive coat!

I gave my suit for alteration this guy didn’t do it good, he cut my right sleeve shorter than left and suit buttons are not done properly! He did a very sloppy job, think twice before you give it to him! I don’t usually like to give negative reviews on disabled people running business but I was Heartbroken after he messed up 6 of my suits! I have to spend another $300 to get it all fixed.

I had a cotton dress that needed to be re-hemmed. Ive loved my previous tailors but new hems always seem a little home-made looking. A-1 is amazing! It looks professional and you can tell the time was taken to make it perfect and sturdy. Ive already recommended it to friends.

Ive tried tailors all over town and Ali is by far the best. Been coming here for a few years now and I cant recommend him enough. Ive had suits, shirts and pants done here and theyve all come out perfect. He takes lots of time working with you to make sure the final fit is exactly what you want.

Have been to him half a dozen times this year and he does a beyond exceptional job. Ive had him hem bridesmaid dresses, replace buttons, take in jeans and slacks, and replace a zipper on a dress and every single time I have been impressed and almost shocked at the job he does.

I recently started a degree program where I have to wear business clothes every day. Before I had never been a fan of business clothes, they never fit me right. Well Ali at A-1 was the solution Ive been looking for. Ive taken all my shirts and most of my pants to him. They now fit exactly like I want and Im finally excited to wear them out. I had 2 blazers altered in both fit and sleeve length, 3 shirts readjusted, and a pair of pants hemmed. Ali took the time to personally measure out each garment with me there in the store, and everything was finished quickly and for a good price. I will definitely take things here again.
