Stacy was going to come out on a Wednesday. My HVAC unit had a failed blower, we had no AC for a day and a night and were going to have to endure one more night. I got a call from Stacy Tuesday afternoon asking if he could come out Tuesday late afternoon instead of Wednesday. That was a very nice surprise. The service was excellent and at a fair price. From my experience I would recommend Callahan over any other company for AC issues. Thanks Stacy, you rock!!

Mr Calahan did an excellent job at a fair price. I appreciate that he came back to check on his helps work, cleaned up and did some extra things just to be nice. He even did some duct work to even out the air flow. Super nice guy. Highly recommended.

Calahan Construction and Air did a wonderful job fixing our houses AC. They were able to get someone out to help us very quickly (very important when dealing with AC in Texas!), and when they inspected the system, they explained very clearly what the problems were and offered options and advice, but didnt push us too hard in any direction. After the repair was done, they made sure to check up with us that everything was working well, and a few days later when we had a freon leak they hadnt caught on the original inspection, they were able to come out within hours and fix it free of charge. I definitely recommend them, they clearly take pride in their work.

I am so grateful for these guys! I have had issues with my ac for 4 years now and this is the first company that fully diagnosed what the issue actually was and gave me options for repair and/or replacement! First of all I want to thank Stacy Calahan for service above and beyond, he was extremely helpful and worked within my budget. Let me just give you a little background: I have a property in Savanna Texas and I live in Mesa Az found out that my air conditioner had not been maintained by my property management company, my tenant just moved in, had a few estimates done, and was working with my insurance company, my insurance company would not pay due to the units had not been maintained, and to make matters worse I am going through a rough divorce, so money is tight, Stacy kept in contact with me to see what the progress was with the insurance company, never pushy genuinely concerned, when I told him the outcome he put a package together for me that was within my budget and got everything installed the next day. Nowadays that type of service doesn’t exist but for me on this one day and this one man made a big difference especially when COVID-19 is running loose out there. No words will ever express my appreciation of this one man on this one day. Highly recommended Stacy Calahan and will be indebted to him for his kindness, professionalism, and his can do attitude. Our very old ac unit suddenly gave out and a friend gave me the information for this company. Stacy was very friendly and helpful, asked me intelligent questions to get an idea of what kind of new unit I needed for an accurate quote - whereas everyone else I talked to either gave me huge ballpark ranges or insisted they needed to see the house to make any determination, and some trying to say I needed a larger unit than was necessary. (Google is your friend, it pays to double check information given to you). His team did an amazing job dealing with the oddball setup of my house, having to make several modifications to get the system setup to work with the odd specifications. After they finished installing my new system and left for the day, the system kept cycling off, and when I messaged Stacy to ask if that was normal (never had a new unit before 😅) he immediately sent one of the guys back to check it, which I was pleasantly surprised by as it was late in the day. (Not on them, the safe t switch was apparently accidentally triggering, as it stopped doing so once it was pulled out and put back in). I 100% recommend giving this company a chance to help you out with your AC needs, and will be calling them again when I’m ready to do some construction work!

Calahan Construction & Air is the go-to company for air conditioning/heating installation and repair. They are also experts at bathroom remodeling and did a fine job on my upstairs bathroom.

I Highly Recommend Stacy Calahan at Calahan Construction & Air! It was in middle of summer 2019, hotter than you can imagine inside my house even with 2 portable a/c units running in LR trying to mitigate some of the heat while waiting on my a/c company to help me. I found Calahan Construction & Air... Stacy came out quickly diagnosed the problem right away, my unit was dead (I had been nursing it over last few years) but I couldn’t purchase a new unit until I got in a place to fund a house remodel. So, I needed a used 5 ton unit - not an easy ask, but Stacy found one and installed it w/in 24 hours for a price that did not break the bank (about the same cost as 2 top of the line portable air conditioners, which I returned!) He was professional, responsive, and quick at a reasonable price! Stacy listened to me, took ownership of my problem, was kind & caring and best of all got the job done quickly at a price I could afford...all in the middle of summer (his busiest season) when other air conditioning companies are charging premium prices or up selling, Stacy Callahan got me what I needed not what he could sell me! I have used Stacy and his company on several occasions. The first time was in the middle of winter, we’d returned at midnight from a trip. It was 22 degrees and we discovered a broken heater. I looked on Angie’s List and found Calahan Construction and Air. I called the next morning early and he showed up within 30 minutes and fixed our heater. Last night we were feeling rather warm for having the A/C on. We placed a call at 9 pm. We thought we’d be leaving a message but Stacy answered. He was here at 8 am, diagnosed a unfixable unit and installed a new one today. We are customers for life!

I want to thank Stacy and his team at Calahan Construction & Air. I acknowledge you for your prompt response, expertise and integrity you displayed while restoring cool air back into my home. This is my story: On March 17th, 2020 my air conditioning unit failed to work. I called my home warranty company and they sent out a trained tech. After assessing my problem he recommended replacing my whole a/c unit because he said that the condenser coils are damaged due to dog urine. The condenser could not be replaced with a new unit because of the R 22 type freon phase out. This required a brand new system(the unit inside) with a new condenser(the unit outside). The home warranty would not cover this $12K charge because they said that the dog urine voided their warranty. I disputed this case and they required a second opinon. I hired another company to come out and they said the same thing. I contacted Calahan Construction & Air and explained my situation and agreed to have a used condenser that was compatible with R 22 type freon to be installed for $1,200. It beat the lowest bid that I shopped around for a new system at $6k. Stacy came to my property on-time the next day to install the replacement condenser. After evaluating the system within the first 5 mins he discovered that indeed it was not the condenser causing the problem but a part inside of the unit. The cost of the replacement part was only $200. He topped of my freon and charged me the service fee and I was done for under $450. I want people to know by reading this review that you cant replace experience, a trained eye and integrity these days. It is hard to find with service professionals. I am glad that I found one with Calahan Construction & Air. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an ac company that they can trust in the DFW area.

We started using Calahan Construction & Air’s service probably for 5 years, had a AC unit replaced, used their maintenance plan as well, small fixes to the system some years. The owner always answers his phone or text, it was easy to set up appointments.

We had 2 issues in one day at 2 different locations. The 1st location was in McKinney and water coming through the ceiling on a 2nd floor. I thought it was something like the coil stopped up or something bad….Stacey arrived at the first location on time as promised looked thing over a pointed out and fixed the issue in a manner of minutes.The 2nd location was in Wylie which was not on his schedule for today, but he was kind enough to work it into his already swapped schedule.He arrived there and again looked it over and fix the problem within a matter of minutes.While I know that not all repairs are that quick, it’s nice to know an honest man that will do what needs to be done and not try to sell you something when it’s not needed.I highly recommend Calahan Construction & Air. on a rating from 1-10 I give him a 100 he’s that good!Thank you Stacey for being trustworthy!
