I loved living here. Got to know a lot of the neighbors who are all very wonderful. Things got a little crazy with the pools being closed down for Covid-19. Had to make appointments at unusual and inconvenient hours. They were dragging their feet opening them back up for normal access. Now that they are open again, things have been awesome. They got a little weird about having certain things on out patio. (We had the same lights that all the other neighbors had on their patios and they went around telling everyone they need to be on the inside of the balcony. I think someone from cooperate must have been doing a check that week because they havent made a big deal about anything since.) Besides that this neighborhood is extremely beautiful and is walking distance from the beach, park and the elementary school. It is very ideal for people with kids. I am in my 20s and now that things are opening up many of my friends want to go out down in PB or downtown and the downside to living here is that Ubers are very expensive to go out that way at night. I am going to be leaving Seascape but will be moving to another Irvine property because they have earned my trust.

Love living here! The location to the beach is my favorite part. The apartment complex is very spread out with lots of land. My immediate neighbors are all super nice too. My wife and I feel very blessed to have found this place. The manager, Kayleena is great at her job as well!

Edited: I appreciate your answer. Today is 14th of June and there is still no update on changing your policy to new state orders effective from 15th. Complexes accross the street have pools open without restrictions for long time now. This makes me wonder if you actually follow the health orders or apply own very strict policy that benefits you, like having pool open just for 4h a day or not at all (second pool). Looking forward to more updates.Sescape Apartments created many obstacles to use their newly renovated pools, that they use to attract new tennants, who are then not allowed to use them once they move in. Irvine Company who owns apartments is using health orders as an excuse to keep pools closed while nearby complexes have theirs fully open for ling time. When asked they are not able to provide an answer on when they will open or loosen up their rules. One pool (completed renovation beggining 2020) is still not accessible and chained up as of mid June 2021. Second pool is open but only for 4 hours per day between 10:00 am to 12:00 and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm during work days which makes it not accessible to people who work during the day. Pool is available just for 4 hous during weekend as well. Pool needs to be booked at least 24h in advance and there is limit of bookings per week per houshold which makes it very challenging to have access to pool at all. Pool could be accessed for just 2h at once and after that time tennants are asked by the staff to live. Pool and facility bathroom is not accessible without having to ask staff member to come over and open the door (key provided at signing lease is not working). Staff have to be present at the office building by the pool for tennants to be allowed to use the pool - to monitor them. Water fountain is closed. Pool is very often very cold - multiple complaints about it to the staff made no difference as staff is claiming pool is warm. Tennis courts are also chained up and need to be booked in advance and available only for very limited hours - not available for tennants working 9-5 jobs. Otherwise complex is nice and well maintained with continous renovations here and there that could be bit distruptive, issues within actual apartment are resolved quickly.

I love living here. The apartments are nice and updated the whole property is beautiful! There is a great sense of community here. It’s only a 15 minute walk to the ocean or a 2 minute drive. Carlsbad state beach is the closest but it’s a camping beach. South Ponto is the closest actual beach. The staff are very helpful and have been working hard to keep everyone safe. The pool is beautiful and unfortunately, for the safety of the community, is only open to residents and is by appointment only. It’s the best they can do to still allow residents access to the pool without violating safety regulations. Overall it’s a lovely place to live.

We absolutely love living here! The entire community has recently been remodeled so all of the amenities and the apartment are really nice now!! It’s also the most sound proof apartment we’ve ever lived in which is a huge plus! The front office staff is very helpful and nice. Everything we’ve ever needed they have done a great job of handling.

Unit 904-B:I cannot believe I signed a lease here.I moved in to this complex TWO days ago. Within the first two days, I immediately noticed that the unit was infested with Silverfish. THEY MOVED ME INTO A SILVERFISH INFESTED APARTMENT. I can tell that management has tried spraying the unit already, as SOME of the Silverfish I found were already dead, but others were enjoying their lives crawling around on my ceilings. Absolutely disgusting. I have only been here two days and will 100% be moving out immediately. I would have talked to the office already except that they are closed on Sunday and I moved in late Saturday. Cannot believe I even considered giving this old luxury apartment a chance. As a result of their disgusting living habitat, I have to now pay 3 months of rent to break this lease. But it’s honestly worth it to never live here again.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The rent is too high, and even with the renovation it is not worth living here at least until all construction is completed. We signed a lease hoping the construction on our building would also be nearly done, 4 months later they are giving us ONE BUSINESS DAY NOTICE that they needed to enter our apartment multiple times for city inspections, and they even failed the first inspection so they had to come back again and still did not give sufficient notice. We did not even need to be in the apartment to let anyone in because they accessed the area from an adjacent apartment. The leasing office staff tries to be helpful but all they care about is getting new leases signed. They are not helpful to current residents, they do not give sufficient notice in regards to construction, and even fail to be transparent about aspects of construction. The leasing office took parking spots that are shared between three separate apartment buildings for themselves and said they needed to be more centrally located to residents. I have not seen them once near my building, they just want a shorter walk to their office from their car. When I asked them to relocate parking, they told me to park on the street! What the heck am I paying for? Not to mention they gave us a two day advance notification that the main amenities (printing center, fitness center, and main pool and jacuzzi) areas were no longer accessible because they are doing construction and wont be available till June, which is when our lease ends. They cite your lease agreement as a scapegoat, so be prepared to hear a bunch of lies and vague responses if you deal with them. Dont apologize to me over and over, DO SOMETHING about our complaints!

Nice local manager but a dump nonetheless. Moved here right after my divorce a few years ago, looking for short term place to land. They showed me a nice place when I was looking, but the place I ended up with was a piece o crap - old appliances, ugly cabinets and so tiny (600-something sq. ft.) for over $1600. The bathtub was very dangerous because they painted over the porcelain and was extremely slippery. The rubber bath tub gripper wouldnt even stick to it. After my six month lease was up (and after my next-door neighbor committed suicide by stabbing himself to death - true story), I couldnt wait to get out of there. After I left the place cleaner than when I moved in, they insisted on dinging me for cleaning fee. To add insult to injury, they withheld paying back my deposit way past the legal time allowed. I had to send threatening letters to get them to pay up. The Irvine Company doesnt seem to care about establishing good relationships with their customers. I own my home now but if I ever need to rent again, I will stay far away from The Irvine Company. I usually give the benefit of the doubt to every person/company I do business with but this was such a horrible experience, that I felt compelled to leave this review several years after the fact.

I am truly surprised that the last reviews are all negative. We moved here around 5 months ago and so far so good. Our unit was renovated just before we moved. We liked the brand new appliances and the design in general. AC and heater is super quite and the heat isolation of the unit is just great. Location and neighborhood is awesome too. You are few minutes away from the ocean and Costco. Poinsettia park is amazing and will be even better once they finish the playground. The complex has a pretty playground for the kids and parking lots are also nice with plenty of guest parking. They also do a nice landscaping near the renovated units, looks and smells beautiful outside. There are few negative issues though. First of all, the unleashed dogs of the residents. Some people even let their aggressive dogs run around the playground while little kids are there and scared. These unthoughtfull folks should be warned seriously.Balcony tops are open and it is very hard to put or store anything there due to the rain and sun. They should have done something for it during renovation but it is how it is... Finally, yes it is a bit pricey but they have some deals like 1k discount for the first month. So overall, We had a four star experience so far. I will keep updating it.

I had a horrible time with management trying to apply. They didnt want to work with me. They were very impatient. Even when I offered to pay the full security deposit upfront. They didnt seem to understand how other cities work and they only worked by their rules and that was that! I guess things happen for a reason. Its probably best I look elsewhere.

Super dishonest. Paid $200 to submit an application and the apartment wasn’t even ready at move-in date. Still under construction and no washer/dryer. Went to get our money back and they refused, saying we knew about the construction. Sure we did - on the complex - not that we’d have construction workers in our living room and only be able to access part of the apartment. Avoid working with Crystal at all costs.

Good place for living but every new lease price rises up by over 10%, too deep and long reconstruction without significant concession of rent, too strict rules about bikes and patio usage. Bed bugs treatment on your responsibility up to $1200.

Stay away! At $2400 for 2 bedroom 1 bathroom, this is one of the worst apartment complexes in Carlsbad. A quick Internet search reveals tons of places that give you more and for a lower price. This place is un-renovated, popcorn ceilings, filled with loud construction all week, termite infested buildings, a gym thats been closed for months, massive rent increases, neighbors that smoke... the list goes on and on. They lied to my wife and I, and we have since moved to a different Carlsbad neighborhood, where we pay less than $1950 for a 2 bedroom 2 bathoom! Seascape is a joke!

Do not move here! My boyfriend rented this place as a short term rental as he was transitioning from one house to another and I have to tell you that the price you pay to rent a two bedroom two bathroom there is way too much for this dump. They still have popcorn acoustic ceilings! All the appliances are cheap plastic junk. The plumbing is so old that the toilets were always backing up. There is NO air conditioning! With only one window per room and they all face one direction there is no cross breeze and when you use a fan the fan just circulates the hot wet air! Yes...its humid! More humid in this location of Carlsbad than anywhere else. The mosquitos will eat you alive. They have ZERO abatement traps for these blood sucking parasites and they are EVERYWHERE! This just makes living here during the summer even more miserable! The staff are a bunch of young kids...millennial morons, who do what ever Irvine Company dictates for them to do. You dont get your own washer and dryer so dont buy into their APARTMENT HOME bull$#!+. Plan on dragging your laundry to their small laundry mat where the keycard never works in the machine and the online app that tells you when your laundry us done only works for SOME of the working washers and dryers. He never got his deposit back...but by the time his SENTENCE for living in such deplorable conditions were up...hed gladly pay his way out of the lease because the complex is old, run down, and WAY too expensive to justify the price one pays for rent at this rundown and age old dump. And we dont want your stupid Irvine Company we are sorry you didnt like living here response from you IRVINE COMPANY PROPERTIES! You are all full of hot air and lies! I lived at one of your other properties and the micromanagement and privacy violations your leasing staff and maintenance teams act upon are unethical and wrong. You purposely drive out every tenant one way or another to keep the residents from staying there any longer than a year. You are an unethical company. Dont anyone move into any place run by Irvine Company! They dont care about the residents. They will boot you out if you complain about the terrible conditions or needed repairs to your rental.

Great location with okay prices. The facilites are well kept. But watch out !! Theyre all about money. I thought I signed a year lease but they changed it to 13months. A few of my neighbor friends had the same BS pulled on them. I found this out when I was giving my move out notice. Then they charged me for the whole months rent, even while they spent a week cleaning it up to rent again on my dime. They charged me for repainting and cleaning even though I left the place as clean as it was when I got it. Anyway BEWARE These guys are thieves. Avoid corporate apartment complexs

Avoid this place at all cost! They will take you deposit ALL of it. My lawyer said normal wear and tear is fine but they tried to charge us for new carpet(it was 3 years old when we moved in). They did charged us for all new paint (it was all patch worked when we moved in). We asked the desk girl specifically does Sea Scape Apartments increase there rent after lease is up more than 50 dollars a month, she replied no not that much. It went up couple hundred dollars. LANDSCAPING is Monday thru Friday 7:45am (no need to set my alarm). If I can give this place a 0 star I would
