We moved in almost 3 weeks ago and everyone that works here has been very helpful. Julie and Christian with leasing were there every step of the way to help and make sure our move in went well.In addition, Omar with maintenance was great! He arrived right at the time that was specified and he was done in less than 30 minutes. Very kind and professional.
The employees and customer service at Pacific View are simply outstanding. Their staff are very friendly, welcoming, and professional people who are more than willing to assist you with any of your needs and do so in a very timely manner. The landscape in and around the complex are well maintained and in exceptional condition making this a beautiful place to call home. The apartments are fully furnished making the move in process quick, easy, and stress free which was especially beneficial during my first week of school. In addition, they have a large pool, 24 hour fitness area, and business center with complementary printing. Overall I am very happy with my experience here at Pacific View!
Repairs were handled quickly and efficiently by Edgar within hours of initial request. We were pleased to deal with him again. About a month ago he helped us with a major rug issue. He was most helpful in resolving the issue expeditiously.
I have lived here for a long time and I am very happy with the maintenance staff. My maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner, and the maintenance staff here is pretty darn good...Hats off to Edgar who always do an awesome job. Thank you Edgar and the entire maintenance staff for always being polite courteous and attentive.
I am so happy and thrilled that I chose Pacific Apartment Complex as my residency for the following reasons: 1) Safety; having gates that prevent intruders from entering the complex. 2) Top notch management who sincerely cares about the tenants and always keeps everything in the complex functioning and running especially during the pandemic. 3) Having well trained maintenance guys who follow the pandemic protocol and care for the residents safety. Thank you to the fabulous Pacific View Team!
I have been living at Pacific View for many years. The Leasing Office, Landscaping crews AND the Maintenance Department, do an outstanding job in ALL aspects of running this property. I want to specifically brag about Edgar and his Maintenance Department staff. They are knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and their response time is amazingly fast. This is why Pacific View is outstanding. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Below is a photo I took one morning.
I have lived at Pacific View for over 10 years. I shall say the maintenance crew are the best. They are always quick, available and so courteous when it comes to assisting you with your request. The leasing office had a couple turnovers with management and leasing agents, however, our current manager has been the best one that I have worked with since living at Pacific View. The amenities are nice and clean and everyone in the complex are so friendly as well.
These apartments are beautiful and the grounds are very well kept! Julie was extremely helpful and accommodating to our need to move-in sooner than latter. I also really appreciate the professionalism. We ended up renting a house, but would highly recommend Pacific View Apartments!
The maintenance team has always been very responsive to my needs. They are punctual and efficient. I appreciate Joses efforts to complete the necessary repairs on the initial visit. Its very convenient to submit maintenance requests on line and receive confirmations of the requests.
Been living at Pacific View Apartments over a year now and have had a few minor repairs requested and feel so lucky to have had Omar help us out. He is always super friendly and helpful, Glad we have someone like him at Pacific View
It was an absolute blessing for us to live in Pacific View. Had it not been for buying our own condo, we wouldnt have switched this place with any other rental complex. It has great amenities, very friendly and accommodating staff, and a well-maintained surrounding.
So far… we love this place!!! Office team is super friendly and helpful!! The amenities are spectacular and the community is so peaceful! They have a service for packages which you normally have to sign up and pay for… THEY HANDLED IT ALL for us!!!! Thank you Christian, Steven and Julie for everything 👍🏻👍🏻
The entire team of the Pacific View Homes was very friendly and kind to me. I was receiving any help that I needed - right away. Special Thank you to Julie Douglas and Christian Carter for guiding me through all the steps of move-in and settling process. Everything went very smoothly and I am truly enjoying my new apartment!
The individual apartments are very nice but that is where it ends . We are in a ground floor apartment and naturally expected a pleasant living experience, WRONG!!! The noise insulation between floors is non-existent, we are disturbed continually when our upstairs neighbors are home, especially when their dog romps around which sounds like a cattle stampede. We have tried for another apartment or to get out of our lease based upon our right to enjoy our home but management wont work with us citing various company rules. Beware signing a lease..
We are very happy with our experience so far at Pacific View. Julie from the leasing office has been an incredible resource, extremely responsive, and very kind. We have yet to move onto the property, but the touring and application process was superb and seamless. We cant wait to move in!
Ivan from maintenance came within two hours. Not an emergency went above and beyond what needed to be done. Very happy !
Steven was amazing! He took so much time to talk to me about Pacific View and to work with my schedule to come see the place. His team was easy to communicate with, fast and so friendly! Truly very helpful and the property is beautiful.
I have always felt comfortable here and feel the staff has always been responsive to any requests.
Beautiful, spacious homes and awesome, responsive, friendly staff. We loved living here.
To anyone who may be seeking high quality through and through, very professional operation, extraordinary attention to details, and courteous management/staff, Irvine Management Company as a whole is impeccable and truly first class. Pacific View Apartments are like no other in Carlsbad by far. Prospects shall see for themselves, whether the stunningly well-kept grounds to the pretty and superbly well-kept up units, which is precisely the reason for the merited FIVE-STAR rating.By Charlotte and Sirella, Residents.
Everybody is so nice, helpful, and accommodating. The landscaping looks amazing and the staff is awesome. Thank you for always being so helpful.
Just I want to say Pacific View Apartment Home is the best place to liveand I love it so very much . Thank you !
My apartment overlooks the lagoon and the sunsets are amazing. Apartments are a good size. Neighborhood is quiet, clean and drama free.. or maybe I just don’t notice it. I’ve lived in three different apartments over the past ten years and I highly recommend this complex.
A beautiful place to live. Excellent management and well maintained thanks to an amazing maintenance crew that is available to address residents concerns in a very timely and efficient manner.
Awesome move in experience and very clean and friendly community. Big shout out to Emily for all her help with my move in!
Customer service at this location is terrible . There is nothing luxury about the apartments. When looking from outside the building looks pretty neat but I can’t say the same for inside . I believe they get the appliances from very cheap place because it keeps breaking. I’m constantly calling for maintenance to fix several issues I have. The rent is unbelievably overpriced. I can’t wait to get out off here .
This place deserves zero stars. I cannot wait until my lease is up. I do not recommend these so called luxury apartments to anyone. Its only nice from the outside and garbage on the inside. Everything is constantly breaking. My shower light and fan just stays on, maintenance has now came several times and it just ends up always going back to that. Along with plenty of other issues. To top it off, the neighbors are terrible as well. Do yourself a favor and turn around.
Ever since the quarantine started they took away everything luxury about this place and closed the pools and gyms, despite many other apartments complexes still having them partially open. Additionally this place is very noisy, there is a very loud lawnmower in the morning very early, and there is noisy neighbours who have a dog barking almost all the time, especially in the morning. And about the actual quality of the apartments. The tap (one in the bathroom), toilet, and occasionally the sink (one in kitchen) and washer/dryer for clothing is broken and there were constant issues with the water heater resulting in us needing to call in maintenance multiple times. Also a good friend and neighbour of mine who lives a floor under had 2 instances of his apartment literally flooding (tons of water poured from the ceiling) on the first one resulting him to move out for 3 months.
Very bad place to live if you have kids. To many stupid rules like, No riding your bike on the side walks. Way too expensive for what you get.
I recently moved in to the smallest one bedroom at Pacific View Apartments and I absolutely love it! The leasing process and the move-in were smooth and the leasing staff was very friendly and professional ( and patient because Im pretty particular in what Im looking for). Lindsay, the leasing consultant, found me the perfect unit that has a beautiful view and even a garage. The apartment space is 662 ft.² and plenty for one person. The apartments are recently renovated and looked like new to me. Everything was super clean. I even asked a special favor before I moved in which was promptly and very neatly done. I love the location of the complex which is close to a hiking trail and just 1 mile from the ocean. The amenities look amazing and I cant wait to have my first time at the pool. I am very happy to have found Pacific View!! :))P.S. One thing though that interferes a little bit with the otherwise very peaceful community is the noise the landscapers make every morning. Management may consider having then start later than 7:00 AM.
We searched for a while in the area to find a place that wasnt too expensive, but still met our needs. I LOVE Pacific View and are so glad we decided on them. Rachael from the leasing office has and still is amazing to work with. We feel like were living in a resort with two large pools and Jacuzzis as well as the fitness area. They have fun activities at least once a week for the residents. We moved from a large 4bedroom 3 bath and wasnt sure about moving into an apartment, so we chose a townhome so no one is above us. Were tucked away in the corner and have never heard any of our neighbors. It feels like our own private home and it has been remodeled with beautiful finishes. You cant beat the area as well! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the constant noise in the morning from the landscapers. The grounds are beautiful, but its every morning theyre working on it starting at 8 AM and it gets annoying being woken up by them. I work late so I try to sleep a little later. Other than that, we are happy with where we ended up.
If you are a renter and enjoy peace and quiet stay away from Irvine Company! Their “LUXURY” apartments are a joke. There is no insulation in these apartments. You can hear everything from your neighbors above you! Moving out after only 6 months here and literally counting down the days!
Former tenants (was Archstone back then), relocated to Florida by my company, now relocated back here. We moved back to this apartment complex as we liked it when we were here before. So its been a little more than 1 month now and we are both very satisfied. The front office people were great and the move went totally trouble free. The top floor apartment was clean and ready for us. The addition of at&ts fiber to Spectrum was welcomed (had fiber in Florida). The reason for not giving 5-stars at this time is simple: We need more time to evaluate (1 month is short). Now I read the other comments and I was surprised at the negative ones but I also understand that not everyone has the same experience. I do agree that the gates are often broken, which is odd for a gated community, so I will give it time and my TBD review will rate this. More in the future :-)
No access to the amenities they use in all their marketing pictures and they have no idea when it will be available for use.
Well less than two months of moving in of our twelve month lease. We had a triple shooting two floors below us on a Saturday 08/04/18 at 5:30am. Waking up to gunshots and screaming for their lives was awful way to start out. Here’s pictures for proof. The smell of guts cooking in the sun all day was disgusting. The clowns at the leasing office are a joke. To break the lease was two months rent. We paid $2,430 a month. Greedy and heartless company who I’d avoid for life. The maintenance crew are creeps. Seen them numerous times checking out my girlfriend. Cops visit this community often. So I’d skip this hell hole and find something else.
This complex is easily the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. It was built around 2005 so everything is basically new. Maintenance was always timely. I didnt want to leave this place but got a new job. I see that there are some low reviews for this location but generally only those who have bad things to say write reviews. I know a few people that have lived here and have all enjoyed it. Best apartments in the Northern SD area.
Great experience from the day I entered the leasing office. Cassandra was very helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. They worked with me to find me a unit that met my needs. Im happy to be a resident in this community!
They will call you everyday to renew but not when your trying to leave.. told them over 20 times Im moving out but they never mention you have to put a 30 day notice WRITTEN! So jimmy tells me do you want to start moving out slowly? They dont care about there tenants it says it in the lease.. rent anywhere else this place says its gated with broken gates every week that are left open.. Thanks for ripping me off pacific view..
If you like a quiet place to live, pacific View is not for you. It’s super noisy every freakin day, these amigos make noise with their machines everyday from 8 am to noon or later cutting grass, trees, cleaning the driveways. It’s super loud and annoying. I won’t recommend it to anyone.
Stayed here for 3 months. Very nice pool, but the gym is small. Rooms are very comfortable and ample free parking. Kinda far from any stores or food.
This apartment complex is overpriced and not worth your money. The office staff has an unfounded air of superiority when speaking with you even through their thank you. A few of my neighbors have complained multiple times about cockroaches due to being near a gutter and the dumpster! So, make sure you check out your location before moving in! Also, we constantly has water flow issues with our sink.I asked multiple times about move out requirements. We cleaned the apartment spotlessly following the checklist and cleaned the carpets. We did not receive our deposit back AND we owed and additional $100.00. So, once you write that deposit check out dont expect to get it back. The layout for many of the units are bothersome. When unloading the dishes you have to close the washer to reach the cabinets... really? Ive heard complaints about the 1 bedroom layout as well. The only great thing about this place is the pool and the gym.
Beautiful complex, very well and professionally maintained. Responsive maintenance, one day guarantee. Staff is lovely.
Not a good time to move in with covid happening
It’s overpriced, very noisy place, these landscapers use this annoying blowing machines everyday early morning for hours, everyday? That’s ridiculous. Don’t rent any apartment here at Pacific View apartments, you’ll regret.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I rented this place site unseen as I was relocating from east to west. I picked this place because Heidi was extremely nice and helpful, she definitely sold me on renting here. The day we arrived to move in after driving 40hrs to get here, my place was not ready. They had from April until June 28th to have my unit ready. I have had nothing but issues weekly with the complex, to having my tires slashed, some foreign substance thrown all over my garage, dog poop left in front of my yard, my garage door opener not working. The list is endless.I pay over 2300 a month to live in a box, that has many issues. Definitely not worth the price.
Overpriced apartments advertised as a luxury experience.
This review is for Pacific View Apartments under the management of Irvine Company Apartments. Please understand, these apartments have been remodeled and are under different management from some of the older reviews. My family and I moved into the three bedroom apartment 2 months ago.The Great: These apartments are very nice. They come with full size appliances and are modern. Additionally, maintenance is awesome. They are very courteous and strive to get things addressed quickly. Unfortunately, we had a leak in our apartment just after moving in. They fixed it, cleaned all of our carpets, and we were compensated for the energy usage related to the fans and equipment running all day.Additionally, Michelle, our leasing agent, was great to work with and extremely professional. If you are thinking about Pacific View Apartments, I would highly recommend working with Michelle. We’ve had some issues since we’ve been here and Michelle was QUICK to resolve it. If you work with her, she gives you her direct line and email. This allows you to speak with her directly avoiding an off site customer service agent. Again, if you want to live here, ask for Michelle. The layout of the apartment is excellent. The balconies are huge! My daughters love playing in them. The fresh air from the lagoon is a plus too!The pool and fitness center are modern and very nice. These are some of the nicer ones I’ve seen at apartment complexes. The Good: The apartments are relatively quiet. While we can hear the people above and below us, it is never overpowering and doesnt bother us. Typically, we have music going of our own, so we cant hear them at all.The apartments are very spacious. The balconies are excellent. The closets are huge too!The utilities arent bad at all. For gas, electric, trash, water, and sewer, we pay about $150. We are below average energy users too. There’s plenty of parking; something that is hard to find at other places. The bad: Well, we signed our lease with the understanding we were getting a garage. We have a garage, but it is located about 500 yards away. We are hoping to get a closer one soon.Update: we should be getting one closer soon. These things happen. The leasing office had been very upfront with us and assisted us with getting a garage in our complex. You will read some reviews about ants. Everywhere we have lived, we’ve always had ants at least once. We do live by multiple wildlife preservations so ants are a problem. We didnt have ants in the kitchen, like most would assume. In fact, we had a huge ant problem in the Nursery and the second bathroom. Bait traps and time are the best way to get rid of them. I baited the entire house, and we havent had a problem since.Gated community... the back gates have been broken and open the entire 2 months Ive lived here.Overall, this place gets better and better each day we are here. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood with good management.December 5, 2017. Effective 1 February 2018, this apartment complex becomes a smoke free complex. As leasees renew their leases, they must sign a new lease agreement agreeing to the terms of a smoke free complex. By 1 February 2019, all leasees will have lease agreements with the new smoke free complex clause. This is great news! If you’ve been in apartment complexes with smokers, you can understand how miserable that can be. As of right now, the lease agreement states that smoking cannot bother the neighbors or other residents, but is permitted. This clause allows for some interpretation but will not be an issue soon.
My husband and I have lived for 4 months in building 5134, which is one of the units closer to cannon road. Weve really loved our view and newly remodeled apartment. (We were literally peeling stickers off of the appliances when we moved in because everything was so new.) The view we have is of the lagoon and a little peak of the ocean too.Once we got settled in, we have had to deal with exterior building improvements (repainting, power washing). It is a really nice apartment community where the remodeling is still in progress as of now, so based on some of the other comments from previous tenants, it would seem that the construction and disturbances would depend on where youre living. We didnt really have any major issues. For a little while, the apartment that shared a wall next to ours was being remodeled, which was a little loud, but honestly it wasnt that bad.The amenities include 2 really nice pools, jacuzzis, a cabana, nice seating area, 24/7 gym, air conditioned office/ work space space that hardly anyone uses (with a free printer! which I use all the time). It has been rather annoying dealing with an ant infestation, but I went up to the leasing office and they were already having someone coming out to spray apartments the very next day. Im assuming that this has something to do with all the power washing or external painting theyve been doing around here. The landscapers are kind of loud in the morning, but that hasnt really bothered us too much. They start at around 7am. We have had a fantastic view and the entire complex is pretty quiet. Lots of privacy. There are lots of dog owners here. We dont have one, but I like animals, so I dont mind. They do kind of ruin parts of the grassy areas though when owners take them out for the bathroom. My only huge con with this place is with the lease contract. We had to break our lease early. And honestly, its not the leasing offices fault, but we had a really bad experience. Irvine Company is a huge business owned by a billionaire with a net worth of roughly 12 billion dollars. Basically, the companys policies arent really sympathetic to your circumstances or situation. At least, theyre not authorized to negotiate with you at all once youve signed your lease. My husband and I both were laid off within a 2 month period of each other, and while those are probably very unusual circumstances, we still had to pay for our last month + two months of rent out, for a total of $5760, which is a pretty big loss when you just found out youve lost your 2 main sources of income. My advice is to try to negotiate lease break options before you sign your lease, MAKE SURE YOU SIGN the lease addendum that they wont always tell you about. It will let you break your lease in the event that you really need to. I think they have 3 lease break options. 1) last months rent + 2 additional months rent, 2) last months rent + 4 additional months rent, or 3) you are fully responsible to fulfill the rest of your lease payments until they are able to find a tenant to fill your apartment.Luckily we had the 2 month option, but still $5760 is pretty steep. I dont think Id rent through this company again simply because of the organizational structure. Overall, a nice place to live, but its a big organization, so be careful what you sign.
Irvine and company is one of the worst property management companies around! I dont even know where to start.Pacific view is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived!!!Over priced, barely any amenities, poor management.... The list goes on.Since living here I have been accused of having dogs when I didnt have them (now I do) but didnt at the time I was accused. I felt with 4 months of harassment about having a dog before I actually for one.A few weeks ago they left a note on the door stating it has come to our attention that your children have bee riding scooters through our community. The terms of your lease exhibit A, section B, prohibited the use of scooters and any other recreational, sports or hobby equipment within the community. This was left on everyones door. Now I dont have children but you have got to be kidding me with this note!!!They also have left several notes about construction. The notes advise you of the construction happening that day on the building with no warning!!! This is not minor construction either. There is always something wrong with the building(s). We had a water main break a few weeks ago everything in our garage got completely socked. Granted they may not have control of that but the plumber told me that the buildings piping and set up was made cheaply!!!They seem to turn off the water in the buildings at least once a week. Due to ao a issue. Today they sent a text out at 9:22 am to let us know the water would be shut off from 9:30 to 11:30.This was not an emergency situation this was something they where able to give much more advanced notice for but didnt. Luckily Im off from work today but would have been mad if I had to shower before work and couldnt!!! I pay way to much money for these inconveniences. We have also had problems with cockroaches. Very disgusting!!! Apparently every one Ive spoken to in the community has had issues at one time or another with them. As well as ants, and mice. Also this is a pet friendly community yet Ive had nothing but problems with fleas! Being that we have ants, cockroaches and fleas I think its save to say they dont treat the property for Pest.As many others have mentioned on yelp this place is consistently a construction zone. This construction is the type of construction that interferes with your living experience. Jack hammers and drills starting at 8 am. If you didnt get to bed until late or you had a restless night of sleep dont fret they will be sure to wake you up. I work from home and the noise to so loud I cant talk to my customers because of it.Do not move to this apartment complex is my suggestion to anyone out there looking at properties. Our lease ends here in a few months and I honestly cant wait!!!! This may sound like a rant or someone who had a bad experience but I spoke with many of my neighbors and they all have the same complaints.
Worst place I have ever lived, totally unprofessional office staff, multiple inconvenient construction improvements. Hot water in the kitchen is very slow to get warm, the bathroom sinks have incredibly bad water pressure and getting a toothbrush wet is near impossible. I will be moving out next month with a smile on my face as this was the worst 14 months I have ever had.
Awful! They screw you. I thought a safe bet from out of state and it is not. Watch out!!
An absolutely lovely apartment complex with incredibly helpful staff. Julie and the leasing office members have worked overtime to make sure they can accommodate us and give us the best experience here. I also LOVE having two pools to lounge and grill at!!
