Would be awesome if they enforced some of their rules. Students dont follow written guidelines,
I’m surprised that Harvard doesn’t have a better gym for their students. Very crowded. Small. Not inventive or thoughtful in the design or creative in the workout areas. Harvard — you can do better for your students and staff. Nearly every station and machine had someone using it — and usually someone waiting to use it.
Strange floorplan, but they made the most of a space that was adapted into a gym. Definitely a full featured gym, and convenient location for students living in grad student housing
The gym is great love it. The best gym in harvard also prob the biggest one too since the others are on the small side. It does get busy in the afternoon but I rarely go after 1pm so its best to wake up super early like 7am.. but overall great gym & greAt equipment gets the job done!
Ridiculous that Harvards fitness facilities are typified by this place.Wellness is most certainly not a priority on this campus.
Busy Harvard gym. The best of the gyms, but far from addressing the issue at hand. Harvard needs another gym space! All their facilities are too small.
I wish they had more/uniform squat racks. They have three, and all three are different, and the height adjustments on all three are juuuust big enough that there is no comfortable height for me to squat at. I am either on tip toes or going real low to unrack/re-rack. Ive never run into that problem at any other gym, but they somehow have three different styles of rack where its a problem.
Great gym, 3 floors, lots of cardio machines
A pretty good selection of weights and cardio equipment. The only problem I have is that there is a serious lack of space to do freeweight and abdominal exercises. If you are new to the gym, I notice in the morning, it is more crowded very early (6 am to 8:30 am) then gets less crowded. I dont knke anything about after 10 am.
Great staff. Very well equipped and extremely clean.
This is the campus gym to go to if you like to strength train. The QRAC is a step above a hotel gym and the Malkin is a serviceable alternative. If you dont do a lot of barbell movements the Malkin is better for the crowd size. You can deadlift here but you must wear shoes. There are enough squat racks most times of the day but be prepared to ocassionaly wait in line or work in with someone. Olympic lifting is banned at all campus gyms :(
Great Harvard gym with modern equipment and facilities.
Good small-sized gym that gets busy very often. Apparently Obama used to play basketball during his student days.
So much better than the MAC. I you are affiliated with Harvard this is a great gym. It can be quite crowded especially after 5pm on weekdays.
Nice gym, gets very crowded some times...
A pretty bare-bones gym that gets crazy busy during the semester--both in the cardio and non-cardio areas.
Clean, well-run facility packed with cardio and weightlifting equipment. Can get uncomfortably crowded during peak hours, so avoid early evenings.
Great gym good people
Go big or go home! CRIMSON
Really clean nice gym
Good gym, but often busy
A bit small and packed
Way too crowded most of the time but gets the job done when it clears out
Gym with many facilities
I like it
