Terrible case management.My fiancé and I came here to get help with our relationship. I relapsed with a substance but quit with the help of my then fiancé.  Afterwards we did nothing but argue with each other, I had become mentally and verbally abusive. My ex was addicted to gaming online to the point of neglect in many aspects of our life. We began treatment with Mindyanne about a month before covid hit. So the majority was online video sessions. I began paying out of pocket until we found that my exs insurance covered it, so it became her case. Started well until we were given assignments which my ex did none of. I was going to meetings, talking to people about it, Journaling,  reading literature associated with my issues, my ex played league of legends and d&d. Eventually it got to the point where my ex had the power somehow to decide if i was allowed to join in OUR treatment, it was up to her if I was allowed to participate, which eventually turned into me being booted out MID-TREATMENT and Mindyanne becoming my exs personal therapist, or yesman if you will, no followup or anything, I still dont know why or how.  I wanted help, I was progressing with treatment and got kicked out by the will of my now ex, she left mid-lease and I was eventually kicked out and am now homeless, this was almost a year ago. All the while my ex did none of the reccomedded assignments, Mindyanne pretty much used this circumstance to get me to attend NA meetings and nothing more.

Their co-parent counseling was the worst experience of my whole custody battle! My ex played Susan like a fiddle by playing victim, projecting, and ranting. Rather than being coached through this unhealthy behavior, she got rewarded for it. Susan let her frequently hijack the entire session and called me “angry” if I tried to bring us back on topic for some kind of closure.

I cant say Thank You! enough to express how grateful our family is to Susan and Amy! These women made such a huge impact on our lives. My child would not be the person today had it not been for their services. We were living in a nightmare and they brought us hope and skills to address our childs special therapeutic needs. We had been to a number of therapist that claimed to know how to treat Reactive Attachment, but behaviors only intensified, we were made to feel guilty by other therapists as if it was our issues/ incorrect parenting, therapist were manipulated by our daughter, our home was a war zone, and we were ready to give up. It was Susan and Amy who were able to help us truly understand our child. It was Susan and Amys therapeutic skills, and their model of parenting a RAD child, we were able to see improvement. We could Actually BREATH and enjoy our daughter! These two women are the real deal and I cant say enough praise about them!

We were so appreciative to have found a place that understood OUR situation and what was going on with our kiddo. Traditional therapy was a joke and a waste or our time and money. Getting to work with a team (Susan and Amy) who will address both the parenting issues with the parent as well as behavior issues with the child is priceless.

I have worked with Amy and Sue. I found them both understanding and helpful. I loved going for therapy. They also worked with me on a payment I could afford.I would recommend them to any one having problems at home or with children.

Amy was my kids therapist for about 10 years. If it was not for her my family would not be here today. We had many therapists before Amy and they werent able to help my children at all. With Amys help and patience she was able to break that wall that my kids had put up. She helped me to understand exactly what I needed to do to help them because I was lost. She not only helped them but she helped me with my own demons. Shes kind, caring, and compassionate. If she cant help you I believe there is no one in the world that can. She will do everything in her power to help you, you just have to trust her and let her help. Thank you Amy for giving me back my family. Without you we would be lost.

Inspiring Change is an amazing place! Great atmosphere! And Amy and Susan were so informative and patient. When I didnt understand something they didnt hesitate to explain. Couldnt have asked for a more satisfying experience when dealing with questions about something as difficult as behavioral problems with youth. Their approach is dead on!

One year ago today I took back my life. I learned one year ago just how important self-regulation is. For a while I had stopped managing my stress- finally my body had enough. After I ignored my stress for far too long my body started to warn me physically that something needed to change. When I ignored the physical symptoms (head aches, back aches, inability to sleep, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fevers) my body forced me to take a break by breaking out in hives that also impacted my ability to breathe. I gave in- I listened to my body, researched a local counseling office, made a phone call, and scheduled an appointment with a new counselor. Today, I completed my treatment- I graduated from counseling. What an amazing year it has been! I have grown into a person that I am proud of. Not only did my counselor inspire me, but she shared with me a safe space to reflect on my past and present then taught me how to use that reflection as a tool to become who I can and will be in the future. I am so grateful to have found them and am happy to refer anyone to their services. I have been seeing counselor ‘s since I was 14 and I have never been able to open up like I have here. It’s nice going somewhere I honestly feel welcome and not judged, thank you Susan, you really changed my life.

I have known and worked with Amy Swigart for over 10yrs and highly recommend her to anyone I know who have children that are very difficult and extremely challenging. She has worked with several of my children, diagnosis’ from Asperger’s with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD & Bi-polar to Severe Reactive Disorder. Susan and the staff at Inspiring Change are so understanding and they genuinely care about their clients. I started seeing Susan in 2015 to start transitioning from female to male. She was so happy and excited to assist me in my dreams of becoming who i always knew i was. She did alot of research on her own and followed WPATH. She assisted me in getting my letter to start hormones. It did take 6 months because of insurance wanting documents but that was fine. After the 6 months i went to the doctor and got my prescription for testosterone, i was so overwelmed with joy, only to find out my insurance was still fighting me every step of the way. Susan assisted me with appealing the decision and shortly afterwards i was able to go to the pharmacy and pick it up! I was still seeing susan on a regular basics about a bunch of different things and waited probably a year and then i felt it was time and i was ready for top surgery. My insurance wouldnt cover it so Susan assisted me with obtaining a different insurance and studying what my letter of recommendation for surgery should say. Shortly later i found a doctor that accepted my insurance and i got approved with the help of the professional letter Susan wrote. I didnt have to pay a cent for my surgery, it was covered in full by the insurance. I havnt started the process for bottom surgery yet but im sure when the time comes Susan will be there to assist me through it (im excited to get that started). Susan has been there for me from the beginning and im 100% sure she will be there for me always. Susan is so caring she would give the shirt off her back to help anyone threw a hard time and she also has a great sense of humor!On top of everything else she has done for me, anytime i call and need her for anything, she is right there! I also love how when you need to talk to her she answers the phone. Not like some other places where you have to talk to the secretary and it can take hours to hear back, Susan herself takes the phone calls and does whatever she can for you. I have never seen her not smiling or being silly when its appropriate but shes also serious when its appropriate. Inspiring Change is the only place I will go! :)You can not go wrong by going to Inspiring Change no matter the reason as to why you are going!!!

Susan and Amy have done wonders for our family! Their model for working with children and their Parents that have been diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder has helped our family in so many ways.
